Looking to flash a rom on my stock tf101. Just wondering what you guys like the best?
depends what you want. Vanilla or Asus? and which features you need. AOPK vs CM9 ect
I tend to like AOSP based roms, so
Megatron by Ricardopvz
Or AOKP Build 36
are my favorites.
I use Guevor's 20 kernel atm.
I have aokp ms5 on my captivate and love it. Maybe ill going that route.
+ 1 for Megatron and guevor kernel
I used Revolver with guevor Kernel, its very fast and stable.
Currently I am testing CM9.
megatron or revolver 4
+1 on megatron rom...i left my tf101 open for 3 days and still have 23% battery and has no issues... revolver rom by gnufabio ive been using it since the first release up to the ics release all is stable..try it both or its better if you try most of the roms coz every single tf101 has its own behavior...just be patient trying out then you will know which one is best for u
Sweet thanks guys! Maybe I'll start with that Megatron and go from there. Seems to be popular
So far I like ARHD the most. I like the look of stock, for the most part.
+ 1 for Megatron and guevor kernel

Currently I'm using ARHD, but thinking about switching to Revolver, when there will be TF101G-rebased version.

I'm currently running a Neapolitan ICS rom that came out a few months ago and I've been having a lot of stability/speed issues with it. Lookign to flash a new ROM but there are so many to choose from.. any suggestion? Most important things to be are stability and speed.. I don't care too much about a fancy feature set.
Thanks in advance
Im running Drew Garens Orca ROM, with matr1x 15.5 and i love it! Very stable

any ics rom now would be better than neapolitan since its using a hacked up gingerbread kernel. so i wouldnt even consider it truly ics since its not using a 3.0.8+ kernel.
I use bixie rom v.1.0.0 with matr1x kernel v.16 - It's really fast stable and smooth. Battery life is also good (just need to tweak some settings).
u can see a review about this combo on nexusshacks website
cheers
I use CyberGr V7. It's awesome.
Stable, Fast, stable and incredible battery. Lot of options and functions.
One word GREAT.
I am currently using CyberGR-MOD|NS.NGN ver. 7.0 Hybrid ICS, it crashes from time to time but for the most part is working fine! I would also remond the CyanogenMod 9 v4.0.3 v2.1 it has less custom features but its only getting better!
PV!
Check out kangs roms (AOKP). There getting lots of positive feedback

Cm9 very fast, stable, you can tweak cpu governors, sounds and colors directly in the rom settings
Cyanogenmod 9 v2.1
Cyanogenmod 9 v2.1 runs very stable on my phone! I would definitely recommend it for stable daily use!
Bigxie Crespo Apex v1.02...brilliant. Was on NexusBeam before which was excellent too, But Bigxie ROm has lots of nice features, facebook sync etc.
Never had a reboot with either unless using a different oc'd kernel, So off the shelf Bigxie Crespo Apex v1.02 it is. rock solid. loving it. Don't like the boot graphic so flashed the stock one and its just perfect
CM9 Kang for the win
Nexus S (GSM i9020a)
CM9 Nightly Kang (Build 1 of v2.1)
Eugene's Kernel (Speedy-7)
OC 1100/100 (conservative)
I recommend CyberGRv7 ICS rom. It runs beauty on my nexus s!!
hello
what's the best kernel?
what's the best rom ICS for this devise?
Regards
Hard to say which ROM is the best because they all have their pluses and minuses. Same can be said for kernels; each kernel will perform differently according to which ROM you choose. I'd suggest reading through the ROM ops and selecting the one you like based on features and theme. Once you've found a ROM you like, flash several different kernels to find one that is most compatible (also doesn't hurt to read kernel ops as well for feature details). This process, although a little more time consuming, will likely give you better results than relying on the objective opinion of others. Also, bedalas compiled some awesome reference guides on on rom and kernel performance that's a must read for anyone looking to get the most out of their device
You without me is like Harold Melvin without the Blue Notes
ok i understand your point of view
but
wicth do you recomend ?
kernel and rom ?
I prefer cm9, stock kernel.
plenty of other options though.... get experimenting is the advice, find out for yourself which one you like.
till date, CM9 with stock kernel is smoothest Rom. But it not fastest (based on benchmarking scores).
I am running nuhetri's v 3.0.1 with AirKernel (with voodoo colors), and running awesome!!
CM9 and CNA ROM + matr1x kernel
or
Bugleast Beast + Thalamus kernel

Yep. for me CM9 +trinity kernels or Bugless beast with thalamus kernel
Is this cm9 that is the best rom with matrix kernel. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1399035
Running the 4.0.3 OTA on i9020a (with all the fun radio experimentation to make it work) and AirKernel 3.45. Runs beautifully.
Cm9 + matrix

AOKP / Milestone. And Air Kernel has been the best for me
Nexus S (GSM i9020a)
AOKP (Build 28)
Air Kernel (3.45)
OC 800/100 (Lionheart)
Live OC (100 - Noop)
v6 Supercharged
running bug less beast. Rock stable and pretty fast too

AOKP. Hands down.

I quite liked pixel-rom and cyberg v9 but right now im on nuhetris 3.0.1 because of the battery-life...
I also prefer matr1x kernel! It has the best performance/battery ratio imho!
But as stated before: try for yourself!

I flash roms therefore i am!
As someone mentioned, get experimenting, because you know better than us what suits you the best.Me as flashoholic I tried many and so far for me the best is CM9 and MIUI.Atm I´m running MIUI4 with T132 muenchhausen and it is really great. In the matter of kernel I like Trinity´s T132 muenchhausen and the Matr1x kernels and CM stock ones.CM9 also comes with great kernel which is running pretty smooth. If you like to try GB rom than I would recommend CM7,MIUI 2.3.7c,Oxygen.I runned MIUI with Trinity´s 1,5GHz kernel and it was rocket..But it is on you to decide what suits you the most.Don´t worry and try it is awesome to dicover new roms Happy hunting.

Nexus xperia 1.0.1 4.0.3 full release!
fast stable great menu and awesome colors , i try all the roms and i stay with this for 2 days ...
I tried CNA + Air Kernel.. but battery life was suffering.. currently trying out Pixel Rom 1.6 Fully Touched.. seems decent, is giving decent battery backup.. and i liked the Notification toggles also..
I keep flashing and flashing kernels.
Air
Matrix
Steve Garon
Trinity
Franco
etc
etc
Does anyone use an older dated kernel of any of these on any ICS ROMS and have such stability and good battery life that they are unwilling to upgrade to anything else ?
If so, what is your combination and setup ?
Thanks
Griff
airkernel 3.0 is what I use http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=21935053&postcount=1 its been good to me

I'm quite happy with the stock CM9 kernel. What ROM are you using? Have you tried sticking with it's stock kernel? There's generally a reason the ROM dev chooses the kernel they do.
I have had good results with CM9's stock kernel and the Air kernel for ICS. I had instability with matr1x and trinity.
Im using franco's 1.1 and while it's very bare bones (no bln/bld/voodoo/oc etc) the kernel performs amazingly well and I couldn't be more pleased. I got tired of reboots with other kernels and haven't suffered even a single one yet.

I haven't checked this forum for a while and am amazed and overwhelmed by the amount of new ROMs on the development section. Which ROM do you think is the moset stable and have the best experience with?? Thanks.
ICS ROMs look very much wip, but I'm pretty satisfied by Megatron.
still experiencing some crashes/reboots, but the most stable/complete ATM
I tried revolver 1.3.1, revolution HD 3.0.1 and Megatron 1.0.1. (Guevor kernel)
I think that the most stable is megatron 1.0.1
sorry for my bad english

The most stable Rom for the TF101G is the Megatron 1.0.1 combined wit the guevor test 12 kernel.
No RR or SOD at all.
But do not reboot or startup while connected to a charger then boot process stucks during the animated Android symbol.
I've tested all ICS roms in the last month. Megatron 1.0.1 with guevor kernel (test11) is my choice.
Thanks for tips. I've tried EOS and stock 9.2.1.11. Stock is pretty terrible, I'm really disappointed in Asus for even releasing it. EOS looks like it has lots of potential. I was going to try revolver next, but looks like I need to check out Megatron.
A few days ago i flashed FROZEN ROM on it
For me this is the first rom without any problems and lightning fast.
For me its Team EOS build 19. 147h uptime without a single issue and counting.
I have tried every single Ics rom in the Latest Form, After trying every one of the I came back to ARHD Which is the Best And the most stable In my opinion with the Test 12 Kernel. One tip though........STAY AWAY FROM AOKP in my experience it is the most SLOWEST and BUGGEST Rom for the Transformer.
ARHD with misticninjas testy meh .07 was the most stable for me but I am currently using frozn with testy meh .08.
I'm running the AOKP right now. Seems very stable.

megatron here with guevor 13 test kernel. Seems quite stable. Also quick apps is a good addition
Guevor 13 kernel seems to make a big difference in terms of stability.
No more reboots so far, and his changes to go into deep sleep right away are doing wonders
I have the most recent version of revolver 4 flashed, along with testy meh 0.8. Everything is working great, super fast with no reboots or freezes
Hi Guys,
I have a TF101 and want to root it and install a good ROM.
What's the latest stable and good ROM please?
Thanks
I like AOSP based roms, and currently am using AOKP.
Megatron and ARHD are also very good, same with Revolver.
one of those 4 with guevor's kernel should set you up right.
If you want to root easily you can use my PERI 1-click tool in my sig.
Can AOSP rom run Skype with webcam?
Because in the stock rom the webcam doesn't work.
It works fine with me, I have AOKP Build 38 with Guevor's aokp 21.11 kernel.
You can use PERI to root and go from there.
