Problem with PLEX & Media Qloud on LPY ROM - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Themes and Apps

I have strange problem with PLEX since I moved from GB to LPY ICS. I can't connect to the media server over 3G or over Wireless external connection. If I try it in my local wireless network everything works fine. Same goes for Media Qloud.
I didn't change anything on my rooter or WF settings since I moved from GB. I found users reporting similar issues with S2 on ICS but nobody offered solution.
I wonder if any of you have similar problems.

plex error
hello, I had a similar problem with plex.
I found it on a warez site (I know it's wrong ...) and I fell in love with this application.
to support the Developeur I bought it ....
on gb no problem, but under ics I could not play video (seveur error ...)
I handed my pirated version v2.0.3.3 and it works again

Hm, it must be something specific to ICS for Note or S2. I tried version 2.0.2.6 but no luck.
I can't believe nobody else have this issue with ICS. Maybe something left form GB LC1 causing the problem. I did full wipe before flashing ICS but I can't do it now while I am on ICS since LPY kernel is dangerous.

Apps back in the market?

I dont know what going on but a bunch of apps are showing up in the market that were not there. Some background, Im using the unofficial MoDaCo 1.2 with a modified build prop. updated with MR info. Just checked the market and bust-a-move and Pic Say Pro are now back the market.
Anyone else having apps show up in the market?
That's a negative good buddy. Still no sign of SU File Manager 3.0.6. Yep I paid for it and it's gone along with a few of the TTS engines I paid for.
Not there yet for me.
eBuddy's not back on either
That's because the developers probably turned off copy-protection on the app but the issue hasn't been fixed.
just upgraded to modaco 1.2...and yes, i was missing a paid app (droidlive), but it has now reappeared.
also, for anyone interested, playing media via bluetooth speakers works perfectly on this ROM
Yea he did it by putting the old props file back in so it has the phone identify to the market that it's still version 1.26. I had mentioned in a few threads that I could add that to fresh rom if needed but wanted to see if Google/Sprint would fix the issue rather than tricking it in to something it wasn't. Although I've had multiple reports from people using Fresh that the apps were showing up for them even without a modified props.
I'm not sure yet. But maybe I'll put a modified one in mine also. I don't see how it could possibly affect it, but I wonder if that is some how related to the bluetooth speakers too? I'll check it out.

I can't see how. I can confirm that stock sprint rom with MR update Bluetooth works normally. I ran your 0.4 and saw the BT audio streaming issues.

[Q] Persistent problem with BBC iplayer and embedded clips ever after new ROM

Hi,
Any thoughts, ideas comments greatly appreciated.
Since purchasing my Desire S I have never been able to play BBC iPlayer or the embedded clips in the BBC website (specificaly those showing highlights of Scottish Football - yes, that's probably a good thing!).
One of the reasons for experimenting with Rooting and flashing a new ROM was the hope that this would provide the solution I needed as no amount of updating and reinstalling Adobe Flash, using different versions of this or using different browsers seemed to make any difference. Changing news.bbc.co.uk/... to cdnedge.bbc.co.uk/... doesn't work either and doesn't actually address the iplayer issue either.
Now, running a rooted Desire S with a Custom ROM, I thought that this would resolve whatever hidden issue was causing the problem.
All other video types play fine in the stock video player, so I don't think its a hardware issue.
Meant to add. I can hear sound fine, and can see the scroll bar marking progress of the iplayer episode/eweb clip as well. It's just simply that the video is missing.
Could there be an issue with the phone itself?

Now this may be entirely unrelated and possible a shade off-topic, but if I use my DS internet browser to check my flash version using URL:
http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/
It tells me that I have version 10.1 installed (note: take care not to confuse this with the boxes which say what versions are available)
Even after installing Flash version 11 from Android Market, the web page above still tells me that I have version 10.1 on my DS.
Other people claim that their DS responds with version 11 on this page, so I'm puzzled. But even after installing Flash 11 right from factory-reset settings it still reads wrong for me. Perhaps it's related to phone ROM version.
Flash 11 never seems to use any of it's cache on my DS - I do wonder if it's actually "connected" to my web browser at all!

Exact same problem with me. Iplayer just shows a black screen.

[Q] Xfinity Play Working on any GB - CM7 builds?

Hey everyone,
I was wondering if anyone has gotten the Comcast Xfinity Play app working on any ofthe gingerbread CM7 roms. I haven't had any luck yet. It's running well on my rooted Nook Tablet and my Samsung Galaxy S4g (don't remember which rom it's running). It's also working on all of the ICS builds that I've tried. I would really like to get this running on GB!
EDIT - Well I had the day off and I played around with various builds. There does NOT to seem to be a CM7 rom that is capable of using this app. The funny thing is it doesn't ask for root access through SU the way it's suppose to so there is no way to choose deny. I even whent through SU and chose deny as the default preference and still no go. The app does however play flawlessly in every single ICS build that I've tried. There is more content on Netflix so I'm going to stick with gingerbread but it would be cool to see the app eventually work.
I wanted to edit this instead of deleting in case anyone else has the same question!

[Q] DivX web player support

Hi,
I'm looking for a way to play divx files in-browser, i.e. to stream video files from the internet and not to play downloaded .mp4s. I've tried several apps that are supposed to do that, such as moboplayer, MXPlayer etc., and none of them worked. Am I doing something wrong, or is it impossible to use this plugin in any way on android any more?
Device: US MZ604 on stock 4.1.2. I've tried the stock browser and chrome* so far
*which apparently now doesn't support any plugins anyway...
Welp, no replies eh well..
I may have solved this issue by downloading a newer version of Flash anyway. I say may have because while the plugin now works, it seems to be very slow to load anything. Frankly, I'm out of the time (and the data allowance) to test it thoroughly, but give me a few days and I may be able to call this solved. Later then...
OK, the plugin has been tested repeatedly now and, I am pleased to say, works! So the message is: if your version of flash isn't working, delete amd sideload another one. I presume everyone knows where to go for those ersatz updates by now, but if not the answer is of course a website like http://downloadandroidrom.com/file/apk or right here on this forum
So, we can call this thread SOLVED.

Software mods of any kind wreak havoc on my screen mirroring. Not the way you would!

I recently posted a few different times a query about the following problem in specific developers threads the kernels of whom I had experienced the sams problem. I made a few people frustrated because I didn't let it alone that noone was responding there. I havs come to find that it is the same on any kernel change and furthermore is the same with the stock rooted deodexed rox with stock kernel i am running now.
To save time I am going to paste here and edit from one pf my posts from the other threads....
........
I posted the question a couple of months ago if anyone else was experiencing issues when NOT JUST USING SCREEN MIRRORING, which works just fine for me, but when using screen mirroring & then employ an video streaming app (OTHER THAN YOUTUBE) like NETFLIX or hULU or HBO GO. I am getting an issue where I get sound across the stream but no video except the progress bar and volume controls. otherwise it is black screen. the menus even work fine for selecting a video but once it loads it is black, also if using HULU there is a 5 second video that introduces what series you are watching before the program starts. this will run with video but nothing but black screen +controls when program starts.
Does anyone else experience this after rooting or software modding. I am running as close to stock as I care to n920tuvs4dph2 stock deodexed rooted with stock kernel.
Next I will be reying stock with auto root. But I love some of these kernels out there and I am also inclined to keep a backup of the stock for when I want to mirror and flash kernel when I don't. But a fix would be nice.
I of course lost mirroring altogether when flashing current rom but a single line of build.prop editing rmedied that, but when trying to stream a netflix video ... BLACK.
PLEASE TEST THIS IF YOU HAVE THE TIME!
If you do not have a samsung TV or a Roku on which to test this then I encountered identical problem when trying to stream from a paid service to my laptop when using sidesync. Which I believe most anyone can test.
I would greatly appreciate your feedback on this and remember that all other elements of screen mirroring work fine except this. Alos streaming from You Tube works with video.
This particular feature fail has plagued me during whatever Spears changes i have made
Also please let me know which model phone (mine is Note 5 Tmo) you are using''
Thank you soooo much in advance!!!!
Found an answer HERE I had come across the fix of disabling hdcp in build.prop but didn't know own what it really meant. Basically hdcp is DRM or copyright protection and when you alter your stock software the apps that use hdcp will not function properly. There is no current or expected fix.
