yesss the other port had too many issues for me because of the aokp kernel they were using

There is no aokp kernel, theres skyrocket and Hercules.
I'll be glad to see rotation fixed and still the 989 kernel. Screenshots? I'm intrigued to see how this looks.
Hopefully the governor isn't stuck on performance, as with miui there's no governor control built in. Battery hogggg.
Eager to check this out.

I meant the skyrocket aokp kernel that was used in the first port. i am not trying to hate on the work you did in fact i really appreciate it and am currently running the miui port just the aokp r1 bugs are a minor annoyance

I took it as no disrespect bro, it's all good. The kernel is just the regular ol skyrocket kernel.
As far as I know the 989 kernel has the same issues (as per comments) on rootzwiki. I just want to see this all themed up.
By all means anyone can just take my port and do whatever they choose with it, no thanks or credit needed. I just put things out for the community.

this is what I'm talking about... real rom support for the epic.
we have such amazing devs who put some amazing things (looking at you acs, nova, marcusant, and many others), but in the end, it's all either trying to be aosp or just modding what we already have. if this can help the CM7 team, or the guys working on miui, then we can really have some fun with the roms.
I love this phone and am happy to see it not get lost in the shuffle

agreed. my point was that it'll be good for us to get some more devs behind CM7 and MIUI. Sure, that just means they'll be a million variations of those, but then we'll have them. right now your options are touchwiz or as close to aosp as possible, but still with touchwiz framework. CM alone will open the doors

Kernel~!! Faux123!!! Join in!!!! Test beta!!!!

Faux123 has taken time out of his life to help us out with this kernel, help out and test with us please!! Thanks! Don't forget to thank him and anyone that helps out!! Enjoy!!!!
I still love you Romracer and Da_g!!! i just like to have more options... you know? kinda like dating 3 girls at one time... 2 is just not enough.. ahaha
ok so if you are down please let join in!!!!!

I am down to test it as long as this does not show up in Dev forum again!!!!
I'll test as well
Thanks guys you wont be upset!!!! soooo goooood!!1
From what I understand, lots of T-Mo dev's build off Da_G's source, or at least I'm told (from him).
Wouldn't mind having a new dev though, I'll test.
You should have asked him to help port CM7...he was one of the major devs who got the Atrix supported by Cyanogenmod. I'd rather him help make a stable CM7 so we can get nightlies and CM9 when ICS comes out. You think you can ask him to do that instead?

The only reason why I suggested the CM7 is because CM9 will be ICS based and eventually 2.3.5/6 will be old. OC'g to me, now, is pointless because I don't have a need to OC. Some people might want to OC but I only did it to see how high I can score on benchmarks.
My vote is to make CM7 stable so Cyanogenmod can make nightly updates and eventually port CM9 to the i727.
Yeah I'm down for cm7/9 so ill keep this up for a day or so before telling him. Thanks for the feedback

Not sure if the audio issues are kernel related or not but whatever he can do would be appreciated greatly by many in the community. I would willing to contribute to him for his efforts if he can get the few kinks worked out to get it supported by cyanogenmod.

[ROM/DEV] MIUI Alpha 1

MIUI
Alpha 1
MIUI is one of the most popular Android ROMs across all devices, and here it is, (almost) completely ready for the Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket!
Issues
Mobile Network may or may not work. I believe you have to be unlocked.
Camera DOES NOT yet work
In-call audio does not work. One workaround may be to leave the GPS on and reboot. However, as I am not unlocked, I cannot test this.
Wifi sometimes gives an error. Looks like you're going to have to flash Da_G's CM7 kernel without any tweaks to fix that.
Let me know if there are any other issues! Other than that, this ROM could be a daily driver.
Working
Everything not listed above
Questions?
Just ask!
Dev Work
This is my first ROM, so I may need a little help dealing with all the problems that may arise. You are free to download this, modify it as you want, and repost it as your own. Just give credit where needed.
Special Thanks
XAviierG - This ROM is based off of all of XAviierG's hard work. I merely made small edits to make it work with the i727.
Da_G - This ROM's kernel is based off of Da_G's CM7 kernel.
SolteRR - SolteRR was able to fix the problem with the internal SD not being mounted by the ROM.

[Q] CyanoTouchWiz

I'm wondering if i can flash the cyanotouchwiz rom. I'm currently using SkyICS RC7.4 speed and also on UCLA3 modem with faux123-010b3_r2. Also if it matters kernel version 2.6.35.14. I bee looking around the forum and cant find post or a reply of anyone using cyanotouchwiz with UCLA3 modem. I want to flash the rom but i want to make sure i can before going forward and bricking my SR.
Thank you in advance.
Yes you can but make sure you use a program called apn backup and save your network settings. Then you install rom like anything else then the UCLA modem on top some say to do before but I didn't notice the difference... Also keep in mind that cyanowiz isn't built from UCLA and you would only be flashing the modem not the Kernal. After the ROM loads download apn backup and restore settings

[CM7][UNOFFICIAL][NOV10] temasek's UNOFFICIAL BUILD 135.4

First off, i would like to say, I DO NOT OWN THIS ROM! Nor am i taking any credit for anything. This rom was made, compiled, and uploaded, so there for belongs to, temasek.
Recently, temasek has started making his rom available for g2x. He did not want to make a thread, so he agreed to me making it for him. This rom is identical to his o2x rom, except compiled for the g2x.
