Root on OTA ICS? - HTC Sensation

I have S-OFF but it seems like every Clockwork Recovery that I download doesn't work. If I do it through the PC on Fastboot, it says "Can't load IMG." and if I try to load it through through the Bootloader on the Phone, it says "Wrong image". Plus there are so many recovery images floating around, I have no idea which is the right one.

Try following instructions. Works every time for me.

You could try EXT instead. Part I to install the recovery. Part I & Part II to install EXT & 3.32 firmware.
PART I: Flashing 4EXT recovery touch
To dowload and install the newest version of 4ext recovery TOUCH (v1.0.0.5 RC3). Use one of the following methods provided:
Third method: Download this file, check the MD5 of the zip and install it following the steps 4 and 5 from post#1 in this thread.
NOTE: File used in third method WILL NOT install the needed 3.32 firmware in any way, only contains the recovery.img to flash 4ext recovery touch.
PART II: Updating the firmware
This step is MANDATORY otherwise your ROM will not boot.
After updating the firmware you will have the 3.32 firmware with unlocked bootloader. Which basically means that you can use advanced fastboot commands, such as: flash new radios and splashscreens
Download compatible firmware from here.
Copy the PG58IMG.zip file you've downloaded to the root of the sdcard. Root of the sd card mean that you can't put the file inside any folder. Also, you can't rename the file. Please keep the PG58IMG otherwise the bootloader won't recognize it.
Power off your phone or remove the batt and put it back again.
Hold volume-down + power button to boot into the bootloader
Wait for the firmware package to be found and confirm to update as prompted
Once it completed successfully and prompted you to reboot, pull the battery out.
Connect your SD card to the PC and remove the PG58IMG.zip file.

[Q] Downgrading to 0.98.00000 stuck HTC

Hello everybody, tried again to downgrade my actually hboot 2.00.0002 to 0.98.00000 with this tutorial (http://forum.frandroid.com/topic/87946-tuto-downgrade-du-hboot-en-09800000/) and i'm stuck on the installation of the RUU.
The first steps with adb works well but when I tried to install the RUU I get every time the error 155. I search a bit and I found a pseudo-solution, turn my HTC on fastboot USB and then launch RUU.exe, first steps of the installation here worked but stucks after a few minutes on the HTC bootscreen (black screen with silver HTC and there is no loading status bar)
Can somebody help me ?
I will like to precise that i couldn't not turn my USB to debugging mode, option is selected but it dont more appear in the notification bar. But if i succeed to do the firsts steps in the adb it is necessarily in debugging mode or not ?
Sorry for my bad english and thanks in advance
I found this explanation:
ERROR [155~159]: IMAGE ERROR
One of these error messages will appear when you use the incorrect RUU to update and the image file size is larger than the Flash ROM size. In this case, download the correct RUU version and try again.

If "adb device" shows you your Desire, then USB Debugging is activated.
My idea:
Have you tried to extract the update.zip (maybe another name) from the RUU and tried to flash it in recovery/hboot (rename it to PG88IMG.zip, I think)?
Will try the way you said, have you any tutorial to do that ?
Will seek that but if you have the solution already, i'm interested
EDIT : found a tread on androidforums (213279-ruu-zip-possible.html) that explain what you said
You can extract the ROM.zip from any RUU to install via ZIP
Start the RUU and once at the first main screen click Start>Run and type
%temp%
now, find the newest folder and in there will be a ZIP file called Rom - copy this to your desktop and rename it PB99IMG. Now copy this to your SD card and start the phone in HBOOT (turn it on whilst holding volume down). It will find the file and start the update. Just follow the instructions...
It will wipe your phone, though

Thanks to EddyOS, will try it ^^
EDIT : The two RUU for my HTC aren't working. The two zip's are 'invalid'. When i tried to install .zip with hboot it is not detected en when i try to install it with recovery; it says that the zip is 'bad' and that the installation is aborted...
Are you sure that (temproot and) changing your version worked?
You may should try from step 7 on again (gaining temproot) or compare the version of RUU with version entered in command
Yeah I think because when I launch the RUU it gaves me the version that I entered in adb..
Have tried to flash a first custom rom but I was stuck on HTC bootscreen. Tried to flash a rom that works every time (Saga 3D) and my HTC works again but not with the rom that i need..

[Guide] How to flash back to Stock Rom - chacha. Please Sticky This !

Alot of the guides floating around showing how to flash back to stock rom is incomplete ( missing a few steps ) and will result in boot loop most of the time. the correct procedure is :
Part 1 : Setting up Fastboot.
1. Make sure you have java installed, if not get it from here : http://java.com/ and install it.
2. Download the Android SDK manager from here : http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html ( get the exe download )
3. Install SDK manager, then run the android SDK manager.
4. Once launched it will show you available updates, choose ONLY these two "Android SDK Platform Tools and Android SDK Tools" and update them.
5. After update is complete close the sdk manager and go to the SDK manager platform-tools folder, normal path is : ( C:\Program Files\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools )
6. Copy the following 3 files from this folder : "adb.exe" , "AdbWinApi.dll" and "fastboot.exe"
7. go to your c drive ( c:\ ) and make a new directory called "fastboottools"
8. copy the 3 files above into your fastboottools folder.
9. so now your should have a folder like this : "c:\Fastboottools" with the following 3 files in it "adb.exe" , "AdbWinApi.dll" and "fastboot.exe".
Click to collapse
That is it, Fastboot tools is setup. Proceed to next guide.
Part 2 : Flashing guide.
1. download the ROM from here:
ruu_chacha_htc_asia_wwe_1.57.707.2_radio_47.23.35. 3033h_7.51.35.19_release_228383_signed.zip
or here ( mirror link ) : ruu_chacha_htc_asia_wwe_1.57.707.2_radio_47.23.35.3033h_7.51.35.19_release_228383_signed.zip
2. Extract and copy the system.img AND boot.img to the same directory as your fastboot tools "C:/fastboottools" ( make sure to copy both files )
3. Enter the fastboot mode on your phone by pressing volume down + power button after the device has been turned off.
4. Choose fastboot on the phone by pressing power button, and then connect your phone to your PC
5. Using fastboot tools, open the Command prompt and navigate to "C:\fastboottools" then run this command on cmd: "fastboot flash system system.img"
6. Dont reboot, Using fastboot tools, run this command on cmd: "fastboot flash boot boot.img"
( The two commands in step 5 and 6 are different, make sure to type each one correctly and to do them straight after each other )
7. Reboot phone. let it boot up, you will still get bootloop or error message.
8. Take out the battery.
9. Boot back into bootloader ( Volume down + power ).
10. Now choose recovery.
11. Phone should now reboot itself and bam, all should now work fine.
Click to collapse
after trying EVERYTHING else, this is the method that worked for me, i tried to cover every step possible ( alot of the other guides skipped few steps and that is where i got problems ).
hope this helps.
( PLEASE BE AWARE : This will remove recovery and root. if you flash back to stock rom using this method you will have to root your phone again. It will still be unlocked, just recovery and root will be removed. to re add recovery and root check part 3 below. )
Part 3 : Add recovery and root access back after installing stock rom.
1. Download the following 2 files, you will need them :
PH06IMG.zip
su-2.3.6.1-ef-signed.zip
2. Extract PH06img.zip to your "c:\fastboottools" directory. it will add the "recovery.img" file to fastboot.
3. Copy the file su-2.3.6.1-ef-signed.zip to your phones SD card, dont change the name, keep it standard, just put it in the root directory of your SD card.
4. go to the settings on your phone "Settings -> Power -> and Uncheck Fast boot" ( This is important, make sure fastboot is unchecked.
5. Take out your battery, put battery back in and boot into bootloader ( hold down volumedown + power )
6. Choose fastboot on the phone by pressing power button, and then connect your phone to your PC
7. Go to the Fastboottools directory "c:\fastboottools", Hold CTRL+Shift and right click in that Folder and open Command Prompt.
8. type inside command prompt : "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" and let it finnish, takes less than a minute.
9. reboot your phone, but reboot it back into bootloader ( hold down volumedown + power )
10. Now using volume keys choose "recovery" and press "enter" ( not power button, rather use enter button in recovery else you sometimes get a "hat like" picture on the screen )you should now see the recovery options.
11. find the "install zipd from sd card" option and press enter, then choose su-2.3.6.1-ef-signed.zip and confirm to flash it.
12. once flashed reboot the phone and you will now have recovery and root access back again.

it is recommended you update superuser to newer version and also install busybox.
Now that you have recovery installed you can also flash custom roms again.
I STRONLGY recommend once you reach this step that you make a backup of your rom via the bootloader recovery menu, that way you dont have to go through all this pain again next time.

do i load the update.zip?

bootloop ussualy happens when you dont clear your cache properly before flashing.
Make sure to clear ALL cache, and also make sure to follow the steps exactly as they are posted, even if it looks like you can skip a step DON'T. do each step as posted, and clear all cache when you are told to. then you wont get boot loops.
Hi,
I bought HTC chacha locally at a online retailer. Its not tied to any sim/operator. However I am stuck at android version 2.3.3. (firmware version 1.20.720.1). If I try to run the (ota)software update, the phone says no updates available.
I really need to unlock the boot loader. However if I try the htcdev.com, the RUU utility says that the please update to 1.57.XX and then try unlocking the bootloader. I am really stuck here.
My question is can I try the steps mentioned above in this post to get the firmware update, with a locked bootloader?
Any other suggestions to update my firmware to the latest 1.57.XX?
--Thanks in Advance..
htc status restore factory 2.3.3
No, I didn't make a real backup! I thought titanium backup would cover that, it didn't, so I have no backup of the stock stuff.
I have a HTC Status (aka chacha) US ver with att. I unlocked the boot loader by htc's site, worked fine. Then I rooted it with cmw, worked great.
Recently the ota 2.3.5 update (48mb) became available. I downloaded it and tried to install it, it failed with checksum. I know it is the cmw mod. How can I get the stock load 2.3.3 back onto my htc status? The above directions mention the "asia" load. Are the files mentioned generic for all phones with the exception of the cid?
p.s. It would be great if someone out there had the stock 2.3.3 recovery file for the status! That would be easier to load than the sdk stuff.
update : both ruu files listed above show to be corrupt when unzipping.
Update: I installed a newer zip utility than the stock win xp one and it unzipped without any trouble. Moving on to the next step.
Update: all went well, except the "english" option, I chose english singapore. Installed cwm and rooted again. updated to 2.3.5. Thanks for the info above.
thank you!

A new ota update was available (1.57.707.3) but it won't install, it says the current rom seems to be altered and it refuses to install. So I went to htc.com/support and found the status page and downloaded the latest installer for 2.14.502.2 rom image. It fails with "security fail" under ruu in the phones bootloader screen.
The installer on the pc say's I must get the correct rom installer for my phone. I think it might have something to do with the asia chacha system and boot.img 2.3.3 stuff I installed.
Current software is android 2.3.5 and software 1.57.707.2
Is there anyway to get rid of cwm or force the new rom to install over the old?
Thanks man
Tried and made it

You need the stock rom for the update to work. But frankly, I did not see any improvement. Battery life sucks.

[Q] *HELP* Sensation stuck in boot loop

im trying to install this ROM on my Sensation: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1098849 (ARHD) - the ICS version.
So im following the instructions it points to here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1192300
So my phone was running stock gingerbread. So i follow the instructions.
I successfully S-off the phone.
Then i did the PG58IMG.zip thing --- successfully updates --- but now the phone is in boot loop?? it says there it should reboot to home screen? I can still get to the bootloader menu but recovery or any of those options dont work?
I have tried googling but all those threads get so technical. I AM A COMPLETE UTTER AND DISGUSTING NOOB.
Please can someone give me a step by step easy to understand directions to fix my phone? please please?
To be honest the same thing happened to me when i first flashed an ICS rom.
What i did was that i connected the memory card to my PC using an adapter and deleted the PG851MG file.
Then i moved on to flashing my ICS rom (Virtuous inquisiton) and it worked out quite good.
But traditionally it should boot back after flashing the firmware. It has never happened to me again.
Thats my experience. I dont thnk tat nething should go wrong, but still the phones at your own risk. Do go thru other posts in the forum b4 u do nething.

Have correct firmware for ics. Its 3.32. If your comming from GB, you need to flash the firmware because ics uses different firmware than GB. Hope this helps!
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using xda premium
Stop everything. I'll give you a simple solution.
Follow this step by step.
WRITE SUPER CID [YOU ONLY NEED TO DO THIS ONCE]-
1. Download adb tools here: download for WINDOWS or download for LINUX or from the attachments below
2. On your pc click on your local disk C: Drive (or D: drive for some) (WINDOWS users: Start > My computer > Local Disk (C)
3. Create a new folder called "adb" and extract the files from adb.zip into it. Make sure it doesn't create another folder in the adb folder when extracting
Manually put the phone in the bootloader/hboot mode
Navigate to fastboot by pressing volume down and pressing power button to select (power off > vol down + power on)
It will take you to the fastboot bootloader screen on your phone
Connect your phone via USB
Your Screen should now read fastboot USB
1. enter the command "fastboot oem writecid 11111111"
2. enter the command "fastboot reboot-bootloader (Wait for it to reboot the bootloader)
3. enter the command "fastboot getvar cid" [it should confirm your CID is 11111111]
4. enter the command "fastboot reboot"
5. You can now flash any ROM you like.

Updating the firmware
This step is MANDATORY otherwise you ROM will not boot. Please take a look at the firmware thread so you can understand what you are about to do.
After updating the firmware you will have the 3.32 firmware with unlocked bootloader. Which basically means that you can use advanced fastboot commands, such as: flash new radios and splashscreens
Download any firmware from here.

Download the zips for SuperWipe & your ROM and put them on your memory card.
Hold volume-down + tap the power button once to boot into the bootloader.
Press vol down to highlight Recovery and press the power button to select it.
Next, select Install zip from SDcard and touch to navigate to the location of the Super Wipe zip and select it.
Once it is done, you will be rebooted to Recovery. Again choose Install from SD card and this time navigate to the ROM and select it.
After the install is finished, go back to main recovery menu and select reboot.
That's it, you're good to go.
This will work, I'm a 100% positive on that.

HELP: How to Root but keep stock rom?

Hi, I am currently using the Nexus S i9020a on 4.0.4 and it's unrooted on stock rom.
I wanted to know if it was possible to root it (for apps like AdAway) and maintain the stock rom? The reason why I want to keep the stock is because I tried Cyanogen a few months back and it crashed at least twice a week for me. This is troublesome because at night I use the phone as an alarm and it crashing would kill the purpose.
Thank you!
does it show the unlock icon when you boot?
if so, it should be pretty easy.
just flash a su.zip
if you're locked
you need to unlock your bootloader (which may factory reset your phone)
so backup, unlock bootloader, flash clockwordmodrecovery and su.zip
and there you are, stock, with root
The bootloader is unlocked.
How do I flash su.zip? I had someone do it for me last time so I can't remember how.
I can DL the SuperUser app off the app store but I've learned that it does nothing.
Lastly, is it possible to flash su.zip (wherever that is found) without using a USB cable (mine broke, need a new one I guess)?

you can use SolidExplorer's share files feature (via FTP client) , or AirDroid (via internet browser) to push over su.zip
su is here
http://downloads.androidsu.com/superuser/su-bin-3.0.3.2-efghi-signed.zip
move that to your sdcard and boot into clockwork recovery with (VolUp + Power, then select Recovery)
I tried downloading that file and then going to Recovery.
I did "apply update from /sdcard" and hit the .zip file but I get the following errors:
Finding update package...

I tried downloading that file and then going to Recovery.
I did "apply update from /sdcard" and hit the .zip file but I get the following errors:
Finding update package...
Opening update package...
Verifying update package...
E:failed to verify whole-file signature

are you sure you have clockworkmod recovery installed?
Not completely sure, when I go to Recovery, the top says:
"Android System Recovery <3e>"
Edit: I just went to http://www.clockworkmod.com/rommanager to download CWM Recovery but it's an .img file which it won't let me flash after reboot into Recovery.
Flash it either via fastboot or download through Rom Manager and install. I usually do the former.
Open up adb.
Turn off device and power back on into fastboot(power+vol up)
Make sure the recovery image is in the same directory as adb.
Name the recovery image to recovery if it hasn't been changed
Type fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
I've done it that way for a while now no issues. You also need a script or a .zip file that will keep the custom recovery so the stock one doesn't replace it.
You can flash it:

Or you can edit the file that does this by following these steps in this post

Thank you a whole very much!! Using both of your advice, I was able to root the device. It took a while because despite installing the drivers, when I went into the Bootloader, it wasn't detected. The remedy was manually setting it to the Bootloader driver irregardless of Windows suggesting I shouldn't.
Now it's all good to go! Thanked you both.

He's right...and thanks for the refrence
If you are going to keep stock then when you reboot Clockworkmod Recovery won't stick. Do as I said in the referenced post or flash a new Rom (my choice , or just live with it. If you want CWM you will have to USB, cmd fastboot flash recovery recovery.img every time.
Edit: posted a minute before me. Awesome and enjoy!
Glad to hear it worked! And no problem, bud! I try to keep the good posts saved for situations like this
guide
Personally when i rooted my nexus S for the first time,i followed this guide
Its precise,step-by-step and includes a video incase you need one
i am prevented from posting the link but if you search google for nexusshacks.com,you should easily find it.

Help, stuck with no OS, cannot boot.

Hey, so I was trying to get this thing rooted and somehow screwed up. So I got adb and fastboot set up, unlocked the bootloader, flashed the modified A9 boot image, flashed TWRP, and booted into recovery. I tried to mount data as the rooting guide said but when I pressed it it would not check it in. So I went and did a factory reset. Idk what happened but I guess I must have formatted the system partition as well because now TWRP gives me the No OS Installed message and will not boot past the splash screen. The splash screen does however have the red writing about the modded boot img so I know that part worked. I can get into download, bootloader, AND TWRP just fine, they all work and adb devices shows the phone listed as recovery mode when in TWRP. I've tried to sideload CM13 but it gives me Error: Closed on the pc side in cmd prompt. I've tried formatting internal sd through terminal in TWRP as well as many other data resets and they all fail. I've tried installing CM13 zip file straight from the sdcard in TWRP but that fails as well. At this point I'm not quite sure what to do. I'm currently downloading a stock RUU but it is going to take 5 hours because the download source has a slow connection. Should I relock the bootloader and try to sideload the RUU? Is there a way to install a rom through fastboot? I'm fairly new to fastboot but not new to adb and cmd prompt. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated!
UPDATE: So I flashed stock boot, system, and recovery images linked from another post in the A9 forums... and it now boots but it is definitely images from a Japanese version of the phone. So I tried to flash the correct RUU for my phone and it gives me an error message "os-version in android-info missing or invalid". Not sure what that means. I tried flashing the RUU by renaming it to 2PQ9IMG and putting it in the root of my SD card, then booting into download mode. That's where I got the error. So now I'm not quite sure what my next step is. Ultimately I'm just trying to be on a stock rooted ROM. Can anyone help me figure out what to do next?

Find your firmware here and try flashing it.

Hello there. If you want to just revert back to a stock rooted rom I recommend just flashing over Captain Throwbacks Rom he posted in the One A9 Development. If your phone is not S-Off that should be fine. Having the unlocked bootloader and TWRP is already good. If you have $25 bucks I recommend doing S-Off so you can crossflash any firmwares you want without bricking the phone.
The only way to use RUU flashing is to put the phone in download mode and naming it a certain name and it does all the flashing on its own not via twrp. So whatever phone model you have go find the zip.
1. I'm guessing your on the AT&T variant so for example download 1.27.502.5 AT&T. Once you have the zip file downloaded have it on your computer desktop ready.
2. Boot into recovery/TWRP. Goto Wipe. Do an advanced Wipe and delete out system/data/dalvik. Once you do that click on Format Data and type in Yes. Doing those 2 formats will clean the phone up.
3. Now plug in your phone into any available USB 2.0 slots and make sure you have htc drivers installed verifying the phone pops up in my devices in your computer. Once you plug in your phone into your computer hit Mount. It should pop up like a USB stick. Now goto your HTC device internal storage. Make a folder called 0 or download. Place the zip into that folder. Once that ONE zip is copied over go back home and hit Install from Zip and find it on the internal storage. It should flash over successful and let it boot. First boot sometimes can take 5-10 minutes.

Well therein lies the problem, I've tried flashing zip files but they always return with an error, same with trying to do ANY wipe of any kind... it returns with the error that it is unable to mount storage...in all the reading and research I've been doing it sounds like somehow the internal sdcard became corrupted. There are many guides on how to fix this for older HTC phones but nothing current for the One A9. I'm going to give the RUU that was posted above a shot, if that fails then I guess my only option is to magically figure out how to manually format my internal sd?
Ive had that probel occur for me before on my htc one m8 flashing google play editions over the sense firmwares. It will say no internal data. Your best bet would be to put the phone in download mode and put the file in a microsd and the phone will auto correct the correct firmware and data partitions. Go look on youtube i think its called ruu m8 or m9 download mode. Too bad htc doesnt have odin or rsd where you just click restore.

Did you do the format data and typing in yes? Do that twice and reboot inton recovery

No dice on the RUU exe file. Anyone have a link to the 1.27.502.5 zip file? If I can try that it might work, other than that maybe someone has the boot, system, and recovery image files for 1.27.502.5?
To ruu youll have to relock the phone and also make sure the phone id matches the ruu.

Phone is already relocked...lack of knowledge is definitely not the problem here. When I run the RUU exe file it gets to the point where I accept the terms and agreements and then once I hit next it disappears and doesn't do anything. So that's why I need to find the zip file to rename and attempt to flash in download mode.
http://www.htc.com/us/support/htc-one-a9-att/news/ scroll to download very bottom. Hopefully that works.
Sorry, I've tried that one 3 times now :/ It starts running and then just quits on me. Not sure why, as I'm sure it works for hundreds of other people. Going to try a flashable zip next, if that doesn't work then I have no idea what to do.
At a complete loss here. Cannot find any way to get the internal SD to mount so I can flash ANYTHING!!! It's driving me nuts. I can't data wipe or do anything I need to get on the right track. Can't even root. So unless anyone else has any final suggestions I'll be getting a warranty replacement.

Have you tried flashing the ruu via fastboot into bootloader than running adb command. You should be able to flash the ruu even with s-on. It won't let you flash if your flashing the wrong one
fastboot oem rebootRUU htc_fastboot flash zip <file_name>.zip
I can't seem to find the correct zip file for the exact RUU for this phone...I can find the exe file no problem but can't get it to work. Does anyone at least have the 1.27.502.5 stock boot and system images? If I can locate the RUU in a zip file I'll give your suggestion a shot.
Try this zip it's for your same model but an older zip for the ruu in a zip file. At least it will format your data and get your phone back on track and you can always update the phone once your running sense or get s-off and flash the region free firmware. https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24269982087001291
So I downloaded that one, threw it in my fastboot folder, ran it through HTC_fast boot, and this is the output I got:
EDIT: I did a getvar all and it said I was on 1.27.502.5, but HTC Sync Manager says I'm on 1.27.709.15 because of the system image I flashed. SOOOO I just need to flash the system.img from 1.27.502.5 or older in order to get my numbers straightened back out and flash the correct RUU to wipe my data. Please, anyone out there happen to have an AT&T A9 that can upload the system.img?

it looks like you didn't run the fastboot oem rebootRUU command first? try running that command first than follow the flashing. the reason that zip doesn't want to update is because one of two things keeps happening. the phone won't update because not on stock recovery/wrong MID/CID. To install that zip this is the method I would use. Normally those RUU things don't want to flash if the recovery isn't stock or something doesn't match up. Rename the file that you downloaded from android filehost to firmware.zip first.
1. Reboot to bootloader
2. run the command fastboot oem rebootRUU
3.now once it reboots into that mode it kind of will look like a grey screen with a HTC sign and a green meter bar
4. run the command fastboot flash zip firmware.zip , than run it again and should say 100% complete and than run fastboot reboot
If all those fail do the RUU update via in download mode. Start the phone with volume down and than choose download mode. Rename the zip file into 2PQ9IMG.zip and copy that into a microSD card formatted fat32. Once the phone reads it, it will being a automated update process. Once its all done the phone might keep asking to update the softare via volume up. Take the microSD out and let the phone completely start up.
Make sure all your PC drivers are correct, then get rid of HTC Sync Manager if installed. Boot the phone into download mode and run the latest RUU file for your version of the phone. Repeat these steps until the RUU works properly. In my experience if the RUU doesn't work either the file is corrupt or the person flashing it is.
Thanks for the replies guys. I've literally done all of that several times and get the same errors every time. I assure you these are NOT user errors. The problem most certainly lies in that in phone settings my version number is 1.27.502.5, but in fastboot and HTC sync manager my version number is 1.27.709.15. So when I flash literally anything RUU it has no flipping clue what version my phone is. All I need to fix my problem is a copy of the stock system img file for 1.27.502.5. Once I flash that my versions will match up and the RUU should work just fine.
