Whichever ICS rom it will be but it doesnt matter. We now have to work on kernel 3.0 in any condition. Because Dhiru already said that backporting all features to current kernel is useless.

The phone is heated up quite often and the battery backup on CM9 and AOKP(from another thread but with vurrut kernel#1) is still very bad when screen is on. So I was just about to try more custom rom based on stock rom and I saw this thread...->Downloading XD, let's see what will happen
BTW do you have any plan to cooperate with UC team/dhiru to try to build a kernel 3.0??

Vishal where's your positivity? You're one of the fathers of this phone shouldn't you be encouraging the devs and not letting them. Dont say things like "useless". This is a different rom from dhiru's so we might get different results and different feedbacks thus giving us knowledge on problems we have on ics roms. Cheer up bro! ICS is starting to grow just like gingerbread way back a year ago.

Hello vurrut, thank you for this ROM, Smooth and fast! But why you use Apex Laucher ? Nova more smooth and functional

Oh buddy u u took my words in wrong way I wanted to say what Dhiru has stated in his thread. I was not at all talking about this rom. I was talking about ICS kernel. Even if we try to create good ICS roms the main bugs will always remain there. Some minor bugs can be solved by some tweaks & tricks but h/w decoding, mass storage mode, video recording are all related directly to kernel 3.0 which is very hard to compile & time consuming for backport. So thats why I said kernel features back porting is useless. Instead of backporting we must work on new kernel 3.0 now.
I really respect every developers work Thats why I already said that this rom is also very good from development point of view.

Awesome, gonna give this a try! Thanks Dev!!
This is exactly what I've been dreaming of. Thanks for that, cile381.
But one question, is this made directly from AOSP source, or just trimmed from CM to remove their addons(CM settings, themes etc)?

Hopefully everything , gonna try this been waiting for a pure AOSP JB rom , great work dev
What's the difference between this and the one from Bruce ? Not about AOSP vs CM10 but is it based on Bruce work ? (so we can expect the same bugs and problems)

Mate, sorry to say this but this as absoluetely no sense.
I know the difference between AOSP and CM. Just some other settings basically (and some little tweaks). And guess what, CM is build from source too.
Does anyone have the MD/5 no. for the ROM & gapps. Thanks!!!

Using it right now, actually typing from it right now, and its pretty smooth and I like it. Reminds of me my G1 with purr AOSP ROMs back in the day. Don't know if its a placebo effect but scrolling does seem smoother and better but vellamo still reports that the touch sensitivity is bad or missed touches is still bad... I think I'll stick with this for a while.
in 1 word: FANTASTIC!!
So smooooth and fast damn... much better then bruce's rom!
Thanks!!!
Well, all is working ? and what about wakelocks (that are the biggest problem in CM10 for now)

Be nice to try but the download link points to docs.google.com and does not work
Good to have another chef for the sensation! Will take it for a spin...

1. Download ROM.
2. Download gapps
3. Place Rom and gapps onto phone.
4. Boot into recovery (recommended 4EXT)
5. Wipe data/factory reset if coming from a different ROM or having issues after installing mods.
6. Flash the ROM and gapps. (If it says gapps included by the link you won't have to flash gapps.)

8. Reboot and let it settle for 5 minutes and enjoy.
How to update from previous versions
If you already have installed older PAC, you don't need to wipe your data. In recovery choose "format system" and then just install new version of my rom.

Also, if you're so inclined, could you please compile Slimbean for the Sensation?

Hi all, The Menu Botton is so important for me, Waiting for the Update... THKs for that good work.
SuperSu Fix Work very well and i don't know what's an inverted Gapps but reading others post i understand that it is a Gapps with App Modded...
As i'm a french people i don't understand it quickly
External Storage Is not Mounted at all Start. We got to Pull and Push after mobile start
These bugs were mentioned in first post.
I will try to fix it ASAP, right now I am using PA rom with sultan kernel, stable and fast as hell
Seems to be a very promising ROM good to see new ROMs coming in. Makes me feel good about Sensation's future.
A bit skeptical about the bugs though. :S will download as soon as they're fixed. :thumbs up:

Hi all, Im waiting for fixes, this is why I answered and given my experience. When i read bugs section i have some words i dont understand. So i try to understand with other words
Hi!
First of, thank you for bringing us another awesome rom to use with our device, your work is greatly appreciated.
Now, a question. All pacman roms I've seen all have paranoid features, something I don't use at all, so I was wonder if it's possible to build an aosp + cm10.1 + aokp without paranoid? Just the kickass features from both worlds?
This is not a request, don't take it that way unless you're feeling like building such, I'd do it myself if I had the know how
Cheers

If you don't use them, just let them be. Why do you want to get another version of the ROM developed for the same?

Care to re-read what I've wrote?
It's not a request. I only asked if it's possible to build a cm10 + aokp, just that.
You need to stop posting when you got nothing useful to say. I was explicit enough.
If it's possible the its another story, not a request.

What features do you want from AOSP?
You know, I can make AOKP for Sensation. That's not a big deal
I just wanted to fix these bugs in PAC and only then do something else.
Right now I am quite busy, but I will try my best
One more thing - I used to make kernels, not roms, PA and PAC are first made by me
RomWiz can tell. In the past he had same phone as I had which was LG P970.

It wasn't a request bro no need to build just because I asked about it with all due respect of course. I wanted to know because all pacmans have paranoid too, although I don't see what the fuss about paranoid is all about, I can only thank you for this

Nice rom good luck on your exam
suck that If I want to build another Rom apart from which I was working on, I will have to sacrifice the current one in order to have enough space for the new one . Only have 50GB HDD on the build-able box. So, long story short, I'm gonna delay it a bit later as I want to make a new project now and don't worry, update still come but just have to re-sync and re-build this which would cost me another 3 days (15 - 24 hours for syncing source - lame internet - then another 6 hours for building - lame Sony Vaio VGN-C240E - and the rest for fixing bugs - just in case - lmao). That's all I have anw sooo, CHEER! And, stay tuned ^^
I have an extra drive if you need it. No not for salw. For free

I just had some troubles with mah local source, figured it out so new build will be snappier, I can guarantee lol
Sorry folks for broking my promise as I tried my hard to fix Xylon source by applying patches that I did b4 but ubfortunately, it's screwed this time, not me but Xylon so, I would wait fo them fixing the inverted feature on their source, or else I can't do more. Anw, I will make a kernel zjp to the latest 3.0.83 that has major bug fixes from TUD as well...cheer!

About Carbon
CarbonRom is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project. We are dedicated to fast, stable, and feature-filled roms, honesty and communication with our users, and openness with our code. We like frequent builds, with the very latest and greatest hardware support and fixes. We strive to not only provide you with the best rom we can build, but also to give back to the Android community and our fellow developers. For us, this is about creating something we can be proud of and hope you will enjoy.
Please feel free to look at, build, and use our code on CarbonDev GitHub.
We would like to thank CyanogenMod for their device trees, framework/settings mods and their code that was incorporated into this project. We also extend our gratitude to the devs whose code that we have incorporated. Proper authorship has been maintained and can be viewed on our repository.
Special thanks also go to Slim Rom for some of their features, PA, AOKP, and anyone else we may have borrowed commits from that hasn't been mentioned here. If you feel you have been unfairly left out, please - let us know.
While we make every effort to test these builds as much as possible, we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your device, family, pets, or perception of reality. We ask that you do your part to know your device and know how to recover from problems before you flash!
Features
Simply stated, we can't really list features here. There are too many and they change too frequently, and we now support a truly insane number of devices. Chances are, if you like a feature, we have it already. Seriously.
