[rom] {wip} miui

This is a port made by Atoore and Mikeyman. Me RaverX3X and Scott are gonna try and iron out the bugs. Im posting this to show you guys that there is development for the Skyrocket. Also posting this to see if any other devs will like to help us anyway they can Also if anybody know any devs that can help please tell them to PM me thanks!!
NOTE
This is not a daily driver build. I have warned you. Don't install this if you're looking for stable build,most stuff don't work.
Comes with Da_G cm7 kernel. Thanks Da_G

Try getting the data working with manual APN settings? Also, CM7 for this phone has a strange issue where call audio doesn't work unless GPS is on. Those issues identical being MIUI is a build of CM7, or is it something unique with this rom?

Yes tried doing that but the ROM would not hold the APN and the GPS trick doesnt seem to work.

Hmm.. Strange. Is this port from the same device the CM7 port is from? Think it working there and not here would help narrow down what's causing it?

This is a port using the miui from HTC Desire HD and the cm7 from the Tmobile SGS2

If this is the rom from the T-Mobile thread it frigging flies. Can't wait to see some progress on it

hell yes!! been waiting for this for my wife's SR. Running miui on my sgs2 i777 and my daughter's atrix. Can't wait!

I wish i could help, since i can't wait for it to be available for the SR, I had it on all my phones and now this phone feels heartless without it. I will donate though for the efforts.

Have you tried it? if you did; does it have any bugs or does it work properly

I am running SKY ICE form day one and never had problem plus I m heavy Heavy user and i get through a day with full charge so Really great deeply themed rom.

get a rogers rom base, i am glad to be a customer with rogers because ATT lock you guys up with no nfc, locked radio and no tethering...rogers gives us tethering for any data plan, and they NEVER throttle us

Does anyone know if that's possible? To get a Roger based rom on the skyrocket?

Yes there are couple of rogers based rom in development forum. for ex TPC V3 is good. Just go search around in Dev Forum and you will find rogers based roms.

[REQUEST]Help Needed For Miui V4 Port

Hey guys, jomeister here with a request for some dev help with porting Miuiv4 to our phones. I figure now that the ICS drivers has been released, and with my AOSP rom being updated soon, we might as well get down to business with some ICS Miui.

And trying to use a phone with the msm8660 processor to port off, the evo 3d

As I'm reading the instructions, I'm starting to doubt more and more if this will work or not. The Evo 3D is a very different device... Not to mention that it's HTC, and not Samsung.
I'm downloading the Evo3D rom right now anyways. Going to try this.

Well, really the only difference between Miui and AOSP is the system/framework, some system/apps, and some other random files that aren't really that critical to the system. The Evo 3D actually not that different from our Skyrocket; they both have the same msm8660 chip.

Yeah... but still a very slim chance that it'll work.

I would love to help but I'm pretty inexperienced I'd be happy to help if you want to walk me through any steps or test anything for yous lemme know

We've been trying and so far, from what I know, we fixed surfaceflinger in the CM9 base but AtCmdFwd won't start. I believe it is because of libhardware_legacy.so

Will the skyrocket ever get an ics AOKP base rom?

Just like the title says...I have been in love with roms based off or strait AOKP builds with the rom control extension. I was trying to find something similar for my buddies skyrocket but can't find anything or am I just blind

Cm9 is the closest thing we have right now. Aosp is being worked on. Idk about aokp unless that's the same thing as aosp.

Aokp= android open kang project. It is essentially aosp.

Aokp .... no. Aosp...... cm9 is aosp based but not completely the same so probably never a true aosp.

Once the AOSP is done, the AOKP will follow for sure, don't see why it wouldn't.

AOKP for the Skyrocket
I know that there is a cm9 ROM for the Skyrocket but I am not sure about AOKP. Someone posted that xboarder is working on it but that was a long time ago. I am hoping for it though! Cross your fingers!

Yes sir, but somehow wali01x fixed it miraculously, and we got it to boot, but it force closes once it finished optimizing all the apps. But I'm going to try using the ril files from my booting and working MIUIv4.

I know someone wanted to create a unofficial update but that failed messirably
Then the only rom I know with even the tinyest hint of update would be g,lorious overdose 4.2 if it gets released..

The only way ICS will end up on the SK4G is when bhundven finishes his work. There is no ETA so do not ask...lol.

Bhundaven (the only dev working on a true unofficial ginger kernel for this phone that i know of) would have blared a trumpet call to all the SK4G forums if he was done trying to create a GINGERBREAD kernel for a true ginger rom. We're not at ICS yet, but give it time. (as stated above)

As far is I know, CM7 is always multilingual. At least yes, there is Russian language. Но зачем?

More Locale only partially translates standart ROM, that is not a problem, but I would like to see the ROM, which completely support russian language.
