G2x - Help with Trinity Kernel please - T-Mobile LG G2x

let me preface this by saying that i am NOT a total noob to this. i have been reading and "lurking" and flashing many different rom's and Kernels on my G2X, mostly with success. One exception though: I absolutely can not get ANY Trinity Kernels to work on my phone. T15max 20122011 (1.56GHz Fun Edition w/ voodoo sound) is the most recent I have tried. I get stuck at the second LG screen and have to restore a nandroid.
My current rom is:
2.3.7
HellFirePhoenix_V2.0
Kernel:
2.6.32.56-CM7-Faux123-049
I LOVE this rom and setup. It is blazing fast and exceptionally thrifty on battery. I simply want to try the Trinity Kernel with it.
I suspect it has something to do with ext3 and ext4. have a look below:

Some phones doesn't like morfic while other hate fauxz. its how each one of them are build up. I tried morfic kernels but it went on a bootloop. Hence it doesn't go well with my phone. Faux does and it is a good one. Whatever version i have used.
So chalk it up to not liking your phone and stay with faux.

I don't think the problem you are having has anything to do with the ext4 as faux's kernel in the install script upgrades the kernel partition to ext4 the same as morfic's. And as not all phones are created equal some do not want to work with some kernels like my gets really unstable with most of faux's kernels. If i think about something I will post and let you know.

My phone simply will not take the Trinity kernels, but I'm currently running Harsh and it's doing just fine. The most recent update to it showed some noticeable improvements in performance as well.

My phone doesn't like the latest cm7 roms and Trinity stock and faux, I have no issues what so ever but flashing the latest with Trinity is causing me to hang on the 2nd LG screen as well... not sure what changed.

I can flash ANY of Faux's kernels - NO problem. Also, my phone runs awesome at any speed available on SetCPU. That is why I am baffled as to why Trinity kernels simply will not work.
As far as the Harsh kernel goes, I am able to use it as well. I played around with HellFire Sandwich and Harsh kernel combo a bit (gonna wait a bit for the ICS). The damn thing is just beautiful with CM7.
I guess it is the PC repair guy in me that wants to know WHY something does not work. If it did, I might like Faux best - but at least I could say I was able to GET the Trinity kernels to work!

I'm in the same exact boat as you are, granted I've only tried it on the CM 7.2 officials and after before that I have no issues, like on HFP 2.1 after that any gigglebread or kangbanger I have the 2nd LG boot logo hang. Weird but I deal with it faux is good nonetheless!

I would nandroid , use g2x scrubber, install virgin cm7 RC from cyanogenmod, then install trinity.
If that boots then you know you have a conflict (init scripts maybe).
The thing about kernel flashes is they leave garbage behind, and so do roms.
Also be sure you aren't using the trinity for ics.

the /dev/block/mmcblk0p15 is set to RO, so when booting up, the phone cannot write the data from /system (which is where rom is stored and used in factory restore) to /data inorder to boot and save everything i do!
cant figure out how to change it though. does ANYBODY know if this is what my problem is. i really need some guru advice here

[Q] Galaxy 3 (I5801) Kyrillos ROM 10.6, issue with sd-ext partition

HI Guys,
I have a peculiar problem, and I hope someone can help solve this:
My phone is a Galaxy 3 (I5801), and I just installed Kyrillos ROM 10.6 on it. I had previously created a 1GB ext4 partition using CWM in my 8Gb card. From Kyrillos' post, I only have to do this much to enable hybrid data2sd, where all the new apps get installed in the sd-ext (1gb) partition on sd card. It seemed to work fine, I removed unwanted launchhers, made backups using Titanium, and plugged the phone to My Linux Mint system.
I copied data to the sd card (6.x gb partition) (and the 1gb ext4 partition was also auto mounted).
I rebooted the phone, and all the newly installed apps (which went to sd-ext) were not visible anymore. I tried to find them, but they were visible as ghosts in the applications list in settings.
I am guessing that the ext4 partition is not getting mounted.
Why is this happening? any ideas? please help!
EDIT:
Here is the output of the "mount" command from terminal emulator

UPDATE 2:
The problem occurs only when i restart phone after connecting it to Linux Mint (Which Mounts the EXT4 /sd-ext partition. if connected to windows, no problems occur....
Any Ideas?
I have (almost) the same problem. My data2sd isn't working. link2sd desn't see my partition at all. And if I try to use hybrid data2sd I have to use it with either "g3mod config" or KMApp, but then I have this issue with ghost apps.
My phone is i5800, and if I enable BLN in KMApp (which is only for i5801), the apps stay normal, but I get sleep of death issue with screen.

[Completed] Swap /data partition with sdcard HTC Legend

Hi, I am trying to swap mount points to increase internal memory on my device - HTC Legend.
I know that there is script for this purpose.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=902395 .
As I can guess here we just use /sd-ext partition to swap it with /data. But in my case I have no /sd-ext partition at all, only /sdcard.
Of course I have no device /dev/block/mmcblk0p2.
