Perhaps I need another cup of coffee, but I can't find the search function to search forum posts and threads...
I remember it being there in the past, so that people, like me, don't post a question that's been asked and answered !

I see that the forum has changed, before if I clicked on private messages I could find all my posts or started threads, where is it now?
Please help!
under user cp statistics
or if you click your own name you can gt all your posts, but not started threads.
Rory
Thanks guys, I found it by clicking ny name and then "statistics"!
Thanks alot!
My favourite way is to search for my own user name in the built-in forum search. This way you can quickly see any replies on threads you have posted in.
I use the the quick links on top right of the screen, then click subscribed threads, it will show if any new posts have been added,
FYI you are automatically subscribed if you reply to a thread or you can just add the thread by going to thread tools...
I have browsed thousands of sites but none as messed up like this... I joined a month ago and even till today I couldn't start a single thread or even reply a single post (damn).. I couldn't even find a way to start a thread.. I even found this q and a page via google.. Please guide me...
To post or start threads in certain areas of the forum (mainly developement related ones) your account needs 10-15 usefull posts. For example by answering other peoples questions.
This is to prevent thousands of new members asking questions in DEVELOPEMENT forums and this is not wanted. Those forums are by name for developement only.
So just be active make some good posts, or answer questions in the forums you can access.
This site is not that messed up, its just huge .
I navigate to the forum (not a subforum) I want to "subscribe to" or "add as a favorite" (whatever it is called) but I cannot find anywhere on the main page of the forum (i.e., the page that typically lists XYZ DEVICE General, XYZ DEVICE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting, XYZ DEVICE General Development, etc.) where I can subscribeto that forum (or add as a favorite).
I notice that if you go to one of the above-referenced subforums that you have the option there to subscribe to it. But I want quick access to all of the subforums for one device, which is why that seems like a forum to me, not a subforum.
Also, in the premium mobile app, it has the sidebar which usually says "subscriptions" followed by a number. When selecting this, you are given a list of forums (and/or subforums) that you can quickly navigate to. This is what I am looking for. I have "subscribed" to them from the mobile app, but they are not showing up once I am at my laptop... it only shows on the right under "MESSAGES THREADS FORUMS" that I am subscribed to one subforum I subscribed to 3 years ago.
With the number of forums for devices growing to several hundred why is there not just a way to create a bookmark to go directly to the forum that you have already added as a subscribed forum/a favorite??? I swear I think every time I have come to this webpage I have to navigate down past 90 devices to find the forum I want (or I google XDA XYZ Device....which is a nice workaround).
There should be a way to bookmark a forum. I say "bookmark" because subscribing to a forum is actually confusing. You already have an option to subscribe to a thread and with that subscription, you can opt to receive email updates when there have been new comments to the thread. However, for a forum this is not practicable nor logical. I just need a way to jump to a forum quickly.
It seems like an easy breakdown: Forum (example HTC ONE (or VERIZON HTC ONE if it exists)) ==> Subforum (example: HTC ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting) ==> Thread (example: Help! I bricked my phone!!!).
Thread subscriptions don't have breadcrumbs in their title, but if you are going to subscribe to a thread, you probably will know what subforum and forum it is in based on its specificity.

OK... no problem.. I need to get this thread deleted then. I cannot tell if you are a moderator, but your Avatar says XDA-Assist... can you please delete it for me?
Thank you!!
I apologize for such a basic question, but I've been unable to find the answer anywhere... Next to my username when I post in the forums, I see this little green checkmark. I assumed it was just notating that that was my username and I was logged in, but I recently saw it next to a different user's name as well. What does it mean?
Someone else asked this question, but it wasn't answered: http://forum.xda-developers.com/general/xda-assist/forum-question-whats-green-check-mark-t3115387. The mark I'm talking about is attached as a thumbnail in the linked post.

No forum link, while viewing a threadCurrently, there is no way to tell which forum a thread is in while viewing it.
It would be very helpful to know which device or topic the thread is about.
Many OP's do not mention this in the thread,
because it is assumed the reader will know which forum the thread is in.

I would also prefer having a breadcrumb containing the forum path (forum, subforum, section) at the top of each thread in the search results and normal forum view.
Like it's done in long threads (with not than 1 page) after jump to another page - see my screenshots.
If you open a thread, on the first opened page, there is no information about the forum, subforum or section of it.
How to see the difference:
Open the xda app, go into any forum view (or do a search and check search results view), click on a long thread (with more than 2 page). Check the top of the thread on the current page. There is no forum information /no forum breadcrumb.
If you scroll to the bottom of the thread (in landscape mode you can change the page also at the top of the thread) and change the page to be displayed, then check the top of this page. There you will find the breadcrumb with forum information.
I agree this is an important feature we need to add. It's in line to be fixed
