So, one of the ICS features I was anxious to try was face unlock. However, upon venturing into Settings -> Security, I found no such lockscreen option. Fine, I can deal with that. But, when I was scrolling through the list of available apps, I saw one called "Face Unlock". What's the deal? Does this tablet have face unlock or not? The listed app is only a few KB, so I assume it's non-functional, but why's it there? Could this be related to the Transformer Prime update that was supposed to have face unlock but didn't? Can we expect to get face unlock eventually?

I was actually curious about this myself. The front facing camera on the TF300T is actually fairly decent even in low light so I would turn on the feature just so my kids don't mess with my TF300T when I leave it on my desk.
My only fear is that the face unlock app judges me and screams "God, you're hideous!" and crashes.

Hey mine came with WW .29 installed and face unlock was there out of the box
OP, you need to be on .26 or later I think. If it's not .26 it's def .29 and .30.
I got it out of the box. Under security settings.

Onskreen is required to be built in into a ROM, which isn't much of a problem if developers can get their hands on it, but for those unrooted ones here, I think Onskreen will never reach our tablets
Galaxy tab 10.1 have something like that (mini applications ) in touch wizard but it is limited to 8 applications only

Did a search of my problem online and it seems that Motorola is trying to push an update to me? It will only download with an active wi-fi connection for some reason. Also I just tried updating my phone in settings and instead of saying nothing was available, its errors out because i'm not on a wi-fi network. Anybody confirm this for me please?

I just checked my update status and it reads no update is necessary at this time? Any idea yet what the update is?
Its the first update we found on cheesecake. Its not official and I'm working with Mark the admin with Motorola to find out what it is. I guess he's gonna do something on moto's side. We shall see shortly.

Shouldn't have to factory reset to get these built in features to work properly.

I know this isn't the SL101 forum, because there is no forum for the SL101. The TF101 is the closest device to it.
Recently, the LCD panel on my Asus Slider became faulty and I either have to refund it or send it back to Asus for warranty repairs, but I am having difficulties restoring it to a Stock Asus ROM. I can unroot fine, but I don't know how to install the stock ROM's ZIP file. And because the SL101 is so unpopular, I can't find any flashable ZIPs of a stock ROM or anything about restoring the Slider to a stock ROM.
Does anyone out there know how to do it?

I sent mine to Asus RMA in Texas for a screen replacement and it was rooted and all. Nobody said crap to me. Don't know if it helps. You should be able to pull the stock images from Asus.com though.

Yeah, I decided to get a refund from where I got it, and they immediately refunded it - no questions asked. I still had ARHD 3.6 running on it but it was unrooted. Now I can get a tablet that has more dev support!

I've been reading articles about a recent major update to Google Maps, but so far nothing appears to have changed on my phone (or tablet, for that matter) and the Play Store tells me I've got the latest.

The lastest update really does suck !
I was on the free way, but it showed my position on the street next to the free way. It had never happened before the update. So I don't recommend people to update. And my GPS signal is pretty good (16/25 sat.), so there is nothing wrong with my gps, but the app itself.
Agreed, if you can keep from updating, definitely hold out. Mine wouldn't keep up with my position in navigator and it was telling me to turn in directions which weren't even possible. They've introduced some major bugs with this update. I reverted back to an older version and I'm good to go now.
