Solved. EXT4 recovey is a must Shame on me.
Hi, does anyone have an idea what could be my problem?
Tried to install OrDroid 6.0.0
On aroma only the wipe was displayed (fortunately the wipe was not performed). Then I was told that the install is complete...
Afterwards I did verify again the md5 hash, it's correct does match.
Currently CoinDroid with Sense 4 V1.5.2 is installed from the same developer shnizlon...

Rocks, that really did the trick.
It's now installed.
Btw is that normal that after install on "Senstaion" boot screen the only way to get through is to go into "safe mode" for the first boot?
Left previously the phone for 1 hour and only "htc sensation" bootscreen was displayed (when I was on CoinDroid). Then I pushed my phone into safemode and since boots normally.

HBOOT is 1.27.0000
Radio : 11.22.3504.07_M
OpenADSP-v02.6.0.2226.00.0131
That's all what I see at the bootloader.
Found it, for me that's OrDroid 6.0.0...
What radio/firmware works best with this ROM?
I currently have the tmo 11.69A.3504.00u_11.23.3504.07_m2.
3.32.531.14CL356011

The firmware must be the 3.32 which is hboot 1.27.1100 and the radio depens on different areas... You choose the best in less words

My mate has a HTC Sensation XE and he gave it to some other guy to root his phone and what not, and he put CM9 on it for him, however he wants to put something like CoreDroid or ARHD with Sense 3.6 etc... and whatnot but everytime he tries to flash a rom it says Status 1 Installation Aborted, and also we can't mount the SD in Recovery, So I decided to use my SD and try and flash the zip from my SD card in his Phone, and I got the same thing, Status 1 Installation Aborted, I've done super wipe and everything.
Same results, What can I do?
Thanks
Flash the stock RUU and then try again

This could be due to:
1. Corrupt download file
2. Incompatible ROM for the phone
3. Other issues
For #1, check the MD5 sum, whether MD5 sum of downloaded file matches the one mentioned alongside the download
For #2, which exact ROM are you trying to install & what is the CID of your phone
Let's take #3 later.
Also, did you try a full wipe/superwipe script & then tried the same?
Cheers, Jp

May I know which Recovery are you using for ARHD the ROM work for CWM and EXT4 Recovery. Because the error may come from the Recovery or ROM it. Then we can be specific about the error.
[XdividerX]
I hope your are using 4EXT Recovery because AROMA Installer/DarkForest Sensation need 4EXT Recovery to run/install.

I am using CWM touch 5.8.0.9.
The initial flash of DarkForest sense 4 went through ok. It's only after I tried to flash Ordroid 1.8.5 that I'm having install errors.
I tried flashing an update zip for the sense 4 ROM last night and had the same install error message.

Try removing signature verification in the advanced menu of CWM. I doubt it will help, but certainly possible

I removed signature verifications and then got E:Can't open cache/recovery/log error whenever i booted up recovery.
Did some research and ended up downgrading CWM to v5.0.1.0.
I then tried the DarkForest Sense 4 patch wich installed with no errors!!
There must be a bug in CWM touch that creates issues when flashing.
Im going to try and flash OrDroid now and see if the error is completley gone.
Thanks for the help guys..
Everything works for me from the same rom that you mention. Below are the steps that I take..
From DF 6.1, I made a backup and fullwipe before I tried DF sense 4 beta 2.
Restored my backup back to 3.6, downloaded Oddroid 1.8.5, fullwipe and flashed.
im back to DF 6.1 for now , waiting for a haptic feedback feeling like on the 3.6 rom.

the problem is with CWM Touch
I had same issue status 1 aborted (in general status 1 error is read error ->looks like some issue with CWM)
Then I've flashed 4Ext touch and is now working like charm
Yeah seems like everyone else got it fixed by flashing 4Ext.

how do i install that without unlocked fastboot? (but with s-off)
You could dd it from adb/terminal, or when Newsroom isn't on I could throw it into a flashable zip.
But really, if you're S-OFF, get an ENG HBOOT
could you refer me to an engineer fastboot?

Don't see why not, but I suspect the incremental backups this is capable of won't work on v5, but I've not checked.

What is the problem?
Even in 6.0.1.1 recovery, usb doesn't mount or charge while boot is off.
Might be fixed later on
Hello guys,
I habe done the following:
-Unlocked bootloader (HTCDEV)
-S-OFF
-Recovery
-Root
-SuperCID
using the guide from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1864053
Everything ok till here. Then I tried to install insertcoin 5.5.0.. Did a full wipe from recovery, then install the rom, it said it installed correctly. However I noticed no changes, even in the phone info menu..
Then I said ok let's install Eleganzia Blitz 2.8.0.. The developer said we should install 3.33 universal firmware, done that. I noticed that the bootloader now says PYRAMID instead of *** UNLOCKED ***. But I guess it is ok right? I have S-OFF as I said before..
Then I installed Eleganzia 2.8.0 and removed some apps during the install lke HTC Hub, Stocks etc. The install said eleganzia_ics was installed successfully! However I rebooted the phone and there were no changes again, stocks and hub are there, no percentage in the battery icon etc..
Finally tried ViperS 1.3.0..
SAME! Could you please help me?? It seems like the phone is not accepting any other rom! Like they are installed successfully and then it goes back to the OEM?
Please help a newbie, thank you!:good:
what recovery do you have?
if you have 4ext try to flash it again then flash the rom and see it it works

Hmmm I see write I/O Error, what should I do?
OK installed EXT4 recovery (way better than CWM) as I read that CWM was causing issues to some sensations.. Now the installation seems to go smooth as it takes time and the percentage is rising slowly, not at once as it used to do with CWM..
Will keep you informed..
Some other newbie questions:
1) Can I downgrade firmware? Ie if I install 3.33 for ViperS and Eleganzia then can I install 3.32 for installing an older rom?
2) What if I want to use a Gingerbread rom? WIll I need to isntall a Kernel as well apart from the firmware?
3) Do I need ZRAM?
Cheers!
Thank you for your ultra fast answers both!

1) as far as you are S-OFF i assume you can
2)i am not sure but you have to flash first a Gingerbread ruu and then a custom rom
3)it is optionally
Thanks rzr86..
So now it seems to be working great with ViperS.. I like some features of the HTC Sense 4.1, however does anybody know how to NOT have to crop a photo in order to set it as wallpaper? In 3.6 that was not necessary.. I was using the same photo without any problems..
So now if I want to go back I just restore my nandroid backup? Or can I just flash another rom after wiping the data, over ViperS?
Hi have HTC One XL with S-OFF and bootloader unlocked. I have TWRP 2.5 on it. Its on the latest hboot as well. I have been using ViperXL for some time now. Today I decided to flash CleanROM just to test it out.
So i followed the instructions and flash boot.img in fastboot and then went in recovery, wipe data and factory reset and then flashed the zip file. The Installation finished in a second and told me to reboot the device. When the menu took me back to twrp for reboot, it gave me 'No OS installed' message. When I got into the install log I found the below line in it:
error: file_write: write: I/O error Installer Error (Status 1)
It seems something is not wrong and not working. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Below is the complete log file:

Use twrp 2.3.3.1, anything past that version has problems flashing and formatting.

Any specific steps I need to follow to downgrade from 2.5 to 2.3.3?

So, I would download twrp 2.3.3.1 and check the md5
then fastboot flash recovery recoveryfilename.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Thanks!
I flashed twrp 2.3.3.1 . Now in twrp when I am wiping delvick cache, its telling me unable to mount cache. What needs to be done to clear that?
