Developing custom roms?

Hey guys I posted something bout this but no one answered I'm looking for a developer that cpuld show me what tools I need to be able to create a custom rom for the g2x because I want to share my creativity and mabye learn a few things so can anyone tell me what tools I need or have a tutorial thanks

i just have a mobile and new to android.
my mobile have this software :
2.3.4
kernel ver. 2.6.32.9
software ver. lg-l95g-v10c_final
its not have arabic lang.
So i want to update to another soft.

its seems that may help but i dont know from where to start and how
plz if there is a post to start update and what i have to do ,also is that post belong to my mobile??

You need to install clockwork mod recovery and install the zip linked in the post through the recovery. Don't forget to wipe first

[Q] How to root Cappy with official Gingerbread?

I upgraded my 2.2 rooted Cappy to 2.3.5 using Samsung Mini Kies everything worked perfect and now I want to root my phone again, any help with this?
P.D.: I dont want to flash any custom kernels or any custom anything as I saw on another thread, I just want to re-root my phone.

Sorry friend but you're going to have to have to flash a new kernel to allow you to root.

Thanks for your help but I think I'll wait some more before trying this so hopefully someone will find a way to root the way I'm looking for

Quick question

I am still kinda new to this and the AOKP ROM...I saw some mods earlier on her transparent contacts and transparent mms and a status bar tweak that I would really like to try out... My question is where do I put the. Zip files and how would I flash them from CWM, please help?

How did you flash aokp and not know what you were doing smh.....

No...you got the wrong impression from that or maybe i worded it wrong...the mods are all .apk files. i know where to stick the .zip for flashing roms im not that much of a noob. im just unsure where to stick the .apk....my bad after re-reading what i wrote i completely wrote it wrong.

Use root explorer delete old version of apk then move new apk to system/app fix permissions then reboot

Thank you very much. anything else I should know with other modding files and such? sorry I'm just really curious. I love this ROM but I'm learning a bunch of new things as well. I hate asking questions but would flip ape ish if i bricked my phone.

Questions are fine but always search before making a new thread 99% of all questions possible have been answered

And he doesn't mean fix permission with ROM manager. Also don't forget to change owners to "root"

I cant post a reply in any of the cm10 threads so I'll ask here...and I know why I can't post its well understood...that being said
My questions are...I see there is a 8/7 build for cm10 as cm10 beta...I am running alpha a1...is the alpha a1 more stable than beta?
Also in that thread it was mentioned that the camera on the 8/7 build was not working but it works just fine on alpha a1 which is why I asked the question above.
Im sure through all of that you all know what I am asking.
Just need some info.
I like the feel of this rom its very well built....big thanks to the developers
And my last question right now is does anyone know what will be added to this rom in the coming future aside from fixes....
I.e. mods tweaks etc?
Next device I will be playing with will be the galaxy note anyone have one and have any tips on what may be not so good about that device?

I need help. Im a noob and i want to install the new rom for skyrocket (4.1.2) . My phone is running the official 4.0.4 , its not root, and i want to install the rom trought odin or other method that could help me, i need instruction step by step, i dont want to break my phone./ i intalled a cwm recovery. I have the zip file..
But im not sure if thats the roms with the aparrence of sgs3 jelly bean 4.1.2 , please help me

Please read the stickies. Vincom has tried to make them as helpful and easy to follow for users who are let's say "new to the process" . I could break it down for you, but doing some in depth reading on your own is certainly necessary based off your post. If you read thoroughly and still have remaining questions then come on back. Nobody wants to see you brick so read up.

First of all, listen to Mike. And btw, the one jelly bean rom that has touchwiz like the sgs3 is by this guy named mohan. Yeah, and look up some information on different roms before installing. Try out cyanogenmod, slim bean, and many others because you may like one better than the other haha.

liste dude , dont waste my time reading if you not gonna write something to help , this forum is for ppl that can help and give ideas ok? Dont write on my post if u dont like it

If you have the zip file and have read the stickies, then in cwm you're going to factory reset, wipe/format data, system, and cache. Then install the rom. You'll have to then sign into Google and re-install your apps. Back everything up before you start
The stickies will have greater detail, but pay attention on how to do the wipes. And make sure the zip you have is for your specific device, all s2´s are not the same. If you use the wrong one you will brick you phone.
