Sorry but it won't let me post on the actual thread since I'm new here. I did do a search and couldn't find what I am looking for. I did find out how to slow or speed up the current annimation but that's not what I need.
Anyway, I can't seem to figure out how to change the annimations for window transitions. I had a ton on my original Sense but now, they just aren't there. Some of the threads said to check some folders on the SD card but I don't see them there either.
Anyone know how to get to them or activate them? I did a full wipe before I installed it.

hi guys - i hope iv posted in the right section.
im lookign to run shadowrom on my htc desire - at the moment im running opendesire but im bored of it - just looking at other options
oh and also, if anyoen can leave suggestions for some decent roms, thatd be great too!
now, iv got rom manager installed on my phone - i even have the prem version. theres a whole list of roms but all of them seem to be desire specific. i just want to grab shadowrom off there and install it - but its not on the list, am i missing something?
sorry if theres some solution im missing, i searched and couldnt find anything...
all the rest of the functions seem to work fine - and there seems to be no direct download (that i can find)

Rooting problems
Hi Guys,
I am a newbie here. Please help me regarding HTC Desire HD rooting. I have rooted my device. Flashed one ROM, it wont work, so I flashed an other one. The same happened. So I flashed an ATT stock rom, but my service provider is hungarian. And my device wont connect to the internet only via wifi. The data plan is not working. How do I fix that?

I think you need the apn of your provider and this is the reason why your data plan doesn't work. Search it in the internet, it's very easy.
If you love eyecandy and smooth ROMs you can try BinDroid or Coredroid ROMs ;-) if you like the iphone user Interface you can try miui ;-)

Please search before opening a new thread. There is no best rom. Only best for you. Try some and make your own mind up. Each rom will run different on every device.

I got my HTC Desire S almost a month ago, and this is my first ever Android phone. Now, I don't like HTC Sense that much and I'm not really impressed by home launchers like GO Launcher or Launcherpro.
I like the look of MIUI a lot, especially because of its 4-icon dock and iOS-like homescreen(s) so I'd like to put MIUI on my HTC Desire S but I've noticed that there are many versions of MIUI, so I'm a bit confused.
I have searched this forum for information / answers for my questions, but I cannot find a topic that lets me understand every aspect of it.
These are my questions:
1) How do I root my phone?
2) How do I put MIUI on my phone?
3) What version / type of MIUI is the most stable?
4) Can I still install Android-apps in MIUI?
I do have experience with flashing the firmware of a LG KM900 Arena (S-Class UI) if that helps.

you'll have to check if your device is already s-off first... if it is s-off then you can flash custom roms with rom manager or recovery

1) & 2) take a look at the index thread inside the development section, there are a few links about this, but root itself you got with flashing miui cause it's prerooted, but I suggest you have to put your bootloader to s-off, how to do this is also in the index thread
3) as much as I know is every version stable, it is build up on the previous with bugfixes and sometimes new features, because of this I think you could take the last one, to be sure take a look at the miui thread itself and check the bugreports
4) yes miui is still Android

1) No need to worry about root as it's already pre-rooted.
2) If you're going to install MIUI, you need to S-Off your phone. Then you can install it by downloading it to your SD Card and install it from recovery.
3) The latest version is fine. There are 2 different version that i'm aware of. Official version and MIUI US version. I'm using the US version. MIUI is updated on a weekly basis.
4) Of course.
Do check the pinned guide for more understanding on basic terms and more advanced stuffs.

I'm kinda new to the world of Android mods (Yes it means im a noob) yesterday I had a help of a friend who managed to help me get Android Revolution HD on my HTC Sensation XE.
I've noticed the threat with over 300 themes but I keep getting confused in the mods and roms.
What rom/mod is best to use to be able to install those themes?
ARHD has mods for it in its own thread, so i'd suggest that.

You can found a long list of ROM's for your phone here (grouped by system version and/or Sense version).
Have you tried all these versions ?
There is a really good sense rom called senseless romeo for our phone. Its 3.0 I believe. If you go to our forum section. G2/Desire Z development". You'll see a forums that has a list of all roms. The 4.0 roms are the ones with the most bugs at the moment because they just released it not too long ago. But 3.5 and under work very well and stable
