Hi everybody,
I have a little problem with my Google Account. About 1 year ago, my account (alessio.buccoliero) has been disabled. I've created a new one (alessio.buccoliero.new), and it has been disabled too. At that point, I've created a new one, changing the name, and it worked for a while, until yesterday (disabled). I need a Google Account because I have an Android Phone but I don't want to create one every 3 months. If I try to contact Google, they don't reply to me and don't explain why they disabled the account.
I don't use Google services in any wrong way, AFAIK, but I noticed that the ban occurs when I try to upload photos on Picasa or use Google Drive (recently) or Google+.
Does anybody know if Google uses a sort of "blacklist" of users that have been banned once or more time in order to disable their account recursively?
Does anybody experienced the same problem?
Any help is welcome.
Thanks in advance,
Alessio
Same thing happened to my friend today for no reason. Not sure how to fix it :-\
Mmmh, thank you. It's very strange...
Anyone else?

What is the message that tells you it is disabled? And when do you get that message?

What is your banned Message ?
There is a high relevance to the actual email or notification or email address you set as your original email address when creating gmail account
now your secondary email should have a mail from google telling you why you were banned
When I try to login with my credentials I'm redirected to a page that contains this message.
Account has been disabled
If you've been redirected to this page from the sign-in page, it means that access to your Google Account has been disabled.
In most cases, accounts are disabled if we believe you have violated either the Google Terms of Service , product-specific Terms of Service (available on the product page), or product-specific policies. Your account has not been deleted, your data is still intact, and it might be possible to regain access to your account.
Why Google disables accounts
Google wants to ensure that everyone has a chance to safely and securely connect and communicate. To help preserve this environment, Google reserves the right to:
Suspend a Google Account from using a particular product or the entire Google Accounts system if there is a violation of the Google Terms of Service , product-specific Terms of Service (available on the product page), or product-specific policies.
Terminate your account at any time, for any reason, with or without notice.
Next steps for disabled accounts
Please start by reviewing the relevant Terms of Service. Then, if you think your account should not have been disabled, please contact us.

I tried to send them emails and messages but they don't reply to me and I have no messages from google in my secondary mailbox (the one I've provided when set up the account).
Really, don't know what is happening...

Hi all.
I've recently bought my very first smartphone which is running Android 2.1. I'm absolutely loving it so far but I have a couple of questions regarding security.
Soon after setting up Android I configured the Google Mail app to sync with my Google Mail account, which is my primary email address.
I've noticed that whenever I open the Google Mail app it displays thousands of my emails, some of which contain very personal and sensitive information. My concern is that if somebody was to steal my phone and get passed the pretty basic key lock, they will have access to all of my emails over the past few years!
I've been told that it's not possible to password protect it or log out of the account; is that true?
I've tried to remove my Google Mail account from the app but it gives me the message:
This account is required by some applications. You can only remove it by resetting the phone to factory defaults (which deletes all your personal data). You do that in the Settings application, under Privacy.

Surely I don't have to do a factory reset just to remove my Google Mail account?
Any help would be appreciated.

I've done that already but as soon as I reopen the Google Mail app all of my messages reappear.
I've now archived all of my emails in Gmail and removed them from my inbox so they have now stopped showing in the Google Mail app but any new messages will appear.
I just don't understand why it's not possible to remove my account from the application.

I only want to remove it from the Google Mail application on Android so that if my phone was stolen or got into the wrong hands they don't have access to thousands of personal and sensitive emails.
Ok, here's some explaination for my issue, as it's not exactly a simple situation, I do apologize for the reading that's involved...

Recently I've added google+ to one of my google accounts. This re-enabled a previously disabled gmail account, which then proceeded to force itself as the primary login for that google account.
I already had a primary google account on my phone, which is the only account which I want to use gmail with.
When adding my account to my phone, I used the original email address (that was downgraded to secondary) as the login, but upon login, this was magically changed to be the gmail account that I did not want. After *much* searching, I found a way to delete this gmail account entirely, which seems to have worked out flawlessly as far as my online accounts work, from a browser at least. My previous login is now the primary, and my unwanted gmail account has been destroyed.
My issue now, is that this account did not get updated on my phone magically, as it did elsewhere. My phone is still showing the gmail account for that google account, rather than the email that it should be. Additionally, I still have 2 inboxes in gmail, although my secondary google account no longer has gmail associated as a product.
--
So on to my question... Is there some way which I can either edit the google account on my phone to update the login (and clear the gmail association), force the phone to refresh all of that google account data (updating the login name in the process), or perhaps even delete that secondary google account from my phone so that i could re-add it fresh?
If the answer is, that i need to wipe my phone... then that is the answer, but if that could be avoided, it would save me the pain in the butt that would cause.
Thanks in advance for any help!
Figured I'd give this just one bump just in case the right person didn't see it... I'm pretty close to just resigning myself to having to wipe my phone.
Yay for google, always knowing what's best for others...
Do you have the Google+ App on your phone. Is that maybe confusing the Google sync?
If you do perhaps try deleting the app and try syncing the original account?
do google sync again
My house mate has an un-rooted HTC Sensation. Recently when going to Gmail on her PC browser she got some kind of message about her account had been accessed from another country and she needed to verify via call or text.
She verified via text and I think changed her password.
Now, Gmail doesn't notify her of new mails, she has to go in and refresh. Also, trying to open Talk means a black screen appears and within a split second it closes, no errors.
I've tried clearing data on all Google apps. I would remove the account and re-add it, but it says I can't as apps are tied to the account.
Any ideas what has happened and how it can be fixed?
Give the Accounts help page a try.

Thanks, but I can't really select any of those. Logging in is fine.
(How do I correct my spelling error in the thread title! lol )
You might be better off using her PC in that case.
I selected option 2 from the original link (I think someone else is using my account) and it lead to this:-
If you still have access to the email address you use to sign in, visit our password assistance page to reset your password and to prevent anyone else from accessing your account again in the future.
Note that resetting your password requires your account recovery options. If your options aren't suitable to reset your password, click the link to the account recovery form (learn more) which will appear at the bottom of the recovery options page.

and then to this
Account recovery form
If you find yourself locked out of your account and none of your other recovery options work, your last option is to visit our password assistance page, and click the link underneath the recovery options to verify your identity. This will take you to our account recovery form.
Take time to fill out each section of the form to the best of your ability. It was designed to ensure that no one can gain access to your account except you.
For example, if you use Gmail, you can provide the verification code you received when you first created your account. The verification code is a unique set of letters and numbers that identifies you as the creator and owner of your Gmail address. Since Google doesn't collect a lot of information about you when you sign up for an account, we will also ask you questions like when you created your account, what Google services you use, and who you email frequently (if you use Gmail).
If you fill out the recovery form and aren't successful on the first try, you can try again. Make sure to wait until you receive our reply before you submit another report. Important: Try to provide as much information as possible on each attempt. Each submission is evaluated independently.
If you're unable to recover access to your account using the recovery form, you can create a new account. Gmail usernames cannot be recreated, so if you were using Gmail, please pick a new username.

What I'm saying is, none of them apply. She's reset/changed her password now and can use her account no problem. The issue is app/phone related.
I have started a new thread in the mobile section of the Google help forum though, thanks.
Right I'm with you. Confusion rules!
I'll not bore you with the details, but a friend of mine thinks her accounts have been compromised (Gmail, skype etc..)
Is there any such thing as an app that will alert you when someone logs into your accounts ?
I've done a quick search and I'm not so sure !!
Google itself will alert you if your account is being accessed at the same time from an unusual IP and you can also check while you're logged into your Google account to see what IP addresses your account has been visited from.
Lock Apps
You can simply lock your applications on your phone if you suspect somebody accessing them via your phone.. Few apps http://gg.gg/fu0 | http://gg.gg/fu1

Yeah that's true. That happened to me a few days ago when I was setting up a new email and I was schocked when I saw that email with all that red color
Hey buddies, I'm looking for some help
Basically I changed the pass of my main Google account one week ago being sure that my browser saved it like I always do but it didn't happen.
I forgot it (prob I'm missing some words) and I can't retrieve it because Google is a ***** one, I tried many times to recover it fullfilling all the camps but I can't complete the recovery mail one since the mail that i I linked with the acc is expired somehow
So I'm looking for a way to recover the pass directly from the phone since I'm still logged in there, I tried with sniffing packets within my wifi but I got nothing and with looking for some database but nothing again
Any ideas or software that can help me out?

There is no need to use software or any kind of "hack" to recover the password if your are signed into the device with that account, as you claim you are.
If you're signed into the phone with the same Google account, use the "forgot password" feature, it will send an email to your gmail account, then just open the gmail app on the device and then find the email they send to change the password. If you are signed into the device with that account then you have access to the gmail app and the email for that account so this method should be sufficient.

Hello mate, thanks for you reply.
Yes, I'm logged into my main phone with the account that I'm trying to recover. If I do the "forgot password" feature from the browser or from the phone directly it will ask me the same things like it already did. I can complete all steps apart the mail one since the recovery mail is expired (my bad that I didn't change it).
For that I'm looking for some software/tricky way.
Regards.
