[Q] HTC One S\Sense fix for Locked screen? - HTC One S

Gentlemen-
Is there a way to bypass the lock screen selection portion of the device? I am trying to simply use my security screen (unlock pattern) to get into the phone. Currently I have to drag to unlock my security/unlock pattern screen before I can start accessing my device.

It can be done but not ideal. You can select, Never Lock under settings and General. Unfortunately even with local policy showing that a password for the device is required this completely bypasses needing to enter a password.

Password Lock Phone

Hello,
The exchange password policy was pushed to my phone after setting up my work e-mail. This is fine and does not bother me. I am having trouble figuring out how to enable the lock feature before the timeout period so that I can lock my phone whenever I want vs. waiting for the timeout period.
I have gone to settings and lock and it does lock the keys but does not require my password to unlock the phone. Is this how it is supposed to behave? Any idea on how I can lock the phone on demand to password protect my device?
Thank you all.
not sure what version you have but the Verizon Wireless TP2 when lock is enabled under Settings Tab/All Settings/Personal Tab/Lock, it has Lock as the right softkey on the main screen.
I have the sprint version and when i go to Settings Tab/All Settings/Personal Tab/Lock the phone goes into lock mode and has the keypad displayed for me to enter the password. The issue is though that I don't need to enter my password to unlock the phone. As long as I hit the unlock soft key on the bottom left hand side the phone unlocks itself. I believe it should require me to input my password and then hit unlock.
Just an fyi I do have a password setup on my phone and it does work as I expect it to when the phone times out after 15 minutes and locks itself automatically. I just want to be able to do this without waiting.
if u go to all setting, personal, buttons, then end key, you can choose to display a quick list by holding the end key where you can select to lock the phone or just lock the phone by holding the end key.
Thank you! That worked and it is prompting me for the password to unlock the phone just as I needed.
glad 2 help

[Q] Lock Device

hi,
I have to lock the device and show prompt to enter the password, which will be set by my application.
I want to show my application dialog to enter the password and unlock the device.
So, Is there any method through which I can lock the device and prompt my application dialog for password and unlock the device.
User should not have access to on screen or hardware keys apart from power ON/OFF button.
Nope (if you are not a manufacturer).
Can I launch the system locking app screen. Is there any way I can do that.
Nope (if you are not a manufacturer).

How the manufactures can help to achieve the task.
I have no idea about it.

[Q] Pin lock with selection

One thing I can't figure out... when there is no security lock enabled on the device, you get a lock selection screen when you unlock.. (ie.. camera, email, txt shortcuts).
If you enable PIN lock or anything else, that selection screen doesnt present itself and only goes straight to the main screen.
Anyone know if there is a way to combine these 2 features so you can still have the selection screen but have it secured with PIN?

Lock Screen Security

I was wondering if there was any way to accomplish any of the following:
1. Prevent power menu access while screen is locked
2. Prevent widgets from being deleted or moved around while screen is locked
Also - what level of protection, if any is the lock screen? Why is there an encrypt phone option if the lock screen is secure? I guess what confuses me the most is how iPhones are encrypted if they have a screen lock so the separation of the two is confusing me on android.
Thanks!
If you set a PIN lock you cannot do anything with the widgets other than take a picture, leave the camera on, and if you have google music identifier use that but that is it.
It took iPhone two or three updates to secure their lockscreen on their "innovative" iOS 7
Screen Lock
Create a pin code then any one no touched with your any file.
Or install finger print app to lock it..

Encrypting your files and locking your device are two completely different things and are handled individually.

Screen lock type - Swipe/PIN/Password/Pattern problem

Hi, few days ago my standard Screen lock type = PIN&Fingerprits changed without my involvement to Swipe&Fingerprits. When I want to change it back to PIN&Fingerprints, it "works" that way that it can be changed in Settings/Lock screen and security, but in reality when I swith off or restart the phone, I can unlock the pohone with Swipe or Fingerprints, no PIN (the same is with Pattern and Password), i.e. only Swipe or Fingerprits is the unlocking way regardless what is set in Settings/Lock screen and security/Screen lock type. All updates incl.security are the latest ones. Any idea what is causing this? Thx
I think when you reboot the phone, it forces you to use a certain unlock method it deems most secure, all subsequent unlocks after that one should be the way you set it
