Hey Xda Members! this is my first attempt at a Mod. i've used CM7 and i really wasn't comfortable with all the bugs, like when talking on the phone and the screen would blink and etc. so i went back to stock, liked it but it was kinda plain so i wanted to spruce it up a bit. so i grabbed this Re-stock rom from AndroidForums and got to work.

Looks good! So this is based off a stock ROM? I'm getting a triumph again tomorrow. I think I'll give this one a spin. Now from what I remember about the original stock rom, few questions:
GPS Fix?
Status bar themable with UOT kitchen or anything similar?
Haptic Feedback work? I know on the stock ROM of my last triumph, it didn't until I flashed a custom ROM.
I think that's it for now. If I think of anymore, I'll report in!

yes it is based on the stock rom with some tweaks, UOT kitchen was used, [great resource] and haptic feedback should work, i havent yet to check on gps.
Sweet deal. Will flash later and see how it goes! Seeing as I don't really need all the stuff in cm7
Edit: So I flashed, and nothing. Been waiting 5 minutes about for it to turn on. Gonna try again, and see if we get it working.

UNDER CONSTRUCTION... Downloads in 3rd post...3 wipes before install,CWM3 recommended...
For those that want a taste here are the 2 main downloads (both have the Market),CoreApps.zip and NoN-CoreApps.zip along with other update.zips coming this week.
The ROM is SyndicateROM Frozen Based,comes with Twilight Kernel v1.0.1,,, It is not compatible with Baked Snack kernel or Genocide kernel atm, I have removed SU and busybox from the ROM because root is built into Twilight kernel,Im sure Genocide will be the same soon.
Known Bugs ::: Charging while phone off is broke... Charge animation is borked...

2 that Im aware of right now,charging while phone off not working. And charge animation is broke... Its being looked at.

Do you have CWM3.0.0.6 installed? Which version of the ROM???
I just got done going through a 4 day test peiod,installed both ROMs about 20 times from diffrent approaches,no problems for me... The main problem I had was slimming it down,but I finally got rid of all FC's.
What are the differences between the two?

The smaller version is the base ROM,pretty much as clean as possible.The other is what I use in "my" ROM,both include the market.Base ROM is not for everyone until I get the update.zips out.
i redownloaded it and worked fine. must have been a bad download before. anyways sorry for the false alarm, and thankyou for the fast response.

Has to do with the kernel.. maybe cwm3 and the kernel.. but only twilight zone kernel roms have those problems

Flashed it and it was running great. One issue that bugs me with the theme, the honeycomb image tiles when in landscape(talking about the notification bar).
And I'm not a fan of the text being gray and not black, thus I tried flashing Gingerbread theme over it to a boot loop.
Other than that, nice work.
Yes I know it's a very trivial thing, but I really liked the CRT screen-off animation when putting my previous phone into standby (a HTC Desire running 2.3.X).
Anybody know how/if we can activate it on our HTC Sensations until we (hopefully at some point) get custom ROMs?
No root = no mods
I would be interested in this too. Really miss the animation Sadly, we won't get it for a loooong time

I can't think of any good reason why HTC would have removed it in the first place, given that it was a standard part of Android 2.3. It all adds to the "wow" factor after all. But I guess we must wait for root then.

Yeah, it's a bit lame to be honest Unless of course, Vodafone removed it. They seem to have remove the transparent button at the bottom (app/phone/personalise), as that isn't like that on a stock Sensation ROM.

There are several custom ROMs with the CRT animation.
No, i dont' want to change stock roms... i would only put the CRT screen on&off animation into the stock ROM... it's possible... can any developer modify the correct files and share with us the material? Thanks in advance...

to activate CRT on my HTC HD2, i have installed this file, but i do not know if this work for HTC Sensation too...

I read somewhere that to have it installed you must have a deodexed rom. If it's true then we have to use a custom rom to have it installed.
I tried some batery mods and scrwed official rom. I guess it's the same.
I hope I'm wrong cause I'm on the same train.

Thanks, Ill try it out. I was about to go back to stock tango as im having a weird problem with getting 15-20 blank texts a day from "unknown" if running stock didn't fix it, I was going to change my number. I'm running Anans rom.

Been using this since my last post. So far, its the best one yet. Full unlock works great, rom is fast and stable, I never go to 1x, wifi IS works...
Funny, because I kinda stopped using Nokia Drive, and have just been using the built in, and I don't really use any other apps that are not on the market place..... So really I only have a custom rom on so I can change my colors.. hehehe..

Nice little rom especially liked the themes but internet sharing never worked for me...currently running Xrev, custom but fully updateable through Zune.

Yeah, just figured out that its not working for me now either. The ROM you're talking about, I couldnt get IS to work either. I may give it another try. If not, ill just have to go back to an older ROM that I know worked.
What exactly is your issue with IS? I am about to update so I will see if I can fix it.
