Just buy the app, if you can afford to pay your monthly phone bill then I'm sure that you can drop a few dollars for the apps you want.
other?
So while we are on this subject, how are not allowed to post cracked apps? While I am against it the reasoning doesn't work. We will take the skype app, which is licensed, modify it and place it on xda. That is no different than taking someone else's app and making it suit our needs without permission.

That's a good point. Although there was a crackdown on those modded Dropbox apks...

I don't see a request for an alternative site as a request for hacked/stolen etc apps..
Unlocking features omitted for marketing purposes that are free elsewhere on the same app is a little bit of a grey area
Also the need for a major alternative freeware shareware app site is definite..

I'm also looking for a LEGIT alternative to the Google Play Store because I sometimes have DPI issues with the market and it gives compatibility errors. I want to clarify this, I just want another place to download .apks that are free on the market that isn't a shady DDL I found on google.
Guys, don't judge, it's possible the OP lives elsewhere where the entire play store is not available and he wants an app. That is a perfectly fine reason for piracy in my book.

There is nothing wrong with requesting free apps apk files, (though I highly recommend doing it in there Q&A section, not android apps & games) just look at this here. On there other hand, paid app apks, cracks to free apps to make then act like paid apps, or cracking apps to defrauded a company (i.e. The dropbox hack) all are considered Warez.
Also, app markets that do not link to Google Play (i.e. App Brainz links to Google play for downloads) are considered Warez markets & won't be tolerated.

Also: For anybody having DPI issues, have you tried this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...wxLDEsImNvbS5iaXJkYXBpLmFuZHJvaWQuZHBpcHJvIl0. (To install it set dpi to normal for your device, delete market data/cache, reboot into recovery, wipe cache/dalvik cache & then download from market, it'll let you change dpi without issues (so it says, I haven't tested it))
There's a new dropbox hack out there for 50gb for two years using sgs3 files. But I understand what you all are saying
Thanks for the info

I have a question, I looked for an app to control my phone.
Now I saw a video on youtube. I am not able to post a link but search in youtube for pusselz.
Is it legal to use this programm and do I need root for that?
Thx : Coke!
depends on if it is an app you are supposed to pay for and if the app itself needs root. If it is a free app you can legally install it from other sources than the market

hello all experts here,i have a little problem that i keep failing to solve.i use Samsung galaxy y,and from past month i have been feeling need for yahoo messenger's voice chat.i would like to mention here that I DO NOT WANT VIDEO CHAT,but just want to use voice.I know for most of the video chat apps,1GHz processor is needed and my device has 832MHz.
I have tried searching for the "yahoo voice and video plugin" apk file so i could install it and introduce voice in my chats, but i did not find it anywhere
all suggestions are welcome, since i desperately need them.I wonder if someone could back up that plugin and upload it for me,that will be great.
p.s.i dare ask cuz earlier i have used few apps like that, which Google play store told me my device can't run them, but i downloaded them from third party websites and installed, and they work fine.....

Here I want to ask a question:
If due to any reason, I am not able to download app from official Play Store, Is it safe to download Apps (.apk) from third party websites?
For example Viber is not compatible with my Nexus 7 (Wi-Fi only) device and I have downloaded it from a third party website. Is it safe to use? Please advise.

Yes and no. if you know source yes else no.
I would suggest enable firewall and block unwanted traffic to and fro.

Sometimes I download apps from 4shared but you got to read before you install because sometimes it will say 'this may cost you money' so it will probably go on your bill and try not to get installers because they can be dangerous and infectous

Read permissions and be smart. Go to play store web page and see the real app permissions and compare it the the one you download. Also be smart. A wallpaper app shouldn't have access to your call logs or phone identity.
With that said not all apps on the play store are safe as well. As malicious apps are rare and often removed, tons of apps are collecting important data and storing it. Do posted above. Install afwall and block internet access to shady apps then enjoy.

Antivirus like avg free for me tells apps that requires push adverts, malicious etc. So I can uninstall those.

In my opinion is better to delete it also changing the Apple ID password.
The app was taken down by play store on groinds of suspicious activity
