Hi,
Unfortunately, none of the above mentioned.
Why??
Because I use facetime as it is the best and some advantages are:
There are many alternatives for Skype.
But the Video calling application I recommend is Facetime because of it’s several benefits:
Better security & privacy
Better audio Quality
Group call convenience
Making Video Calls More Fun with Memoji and Animoji
Here is a complete step-by-step guide to: facetimeforpc.io

Zoom has become rather popular.
Also, the question that the OP of this thread asked was referring to video calling software on android, not PC and definitely not iOS. This website and its members are android lovers, we give no time or discussion to anything dealing with iOS so it was pointless for you to even mention facetime, whether on PC or iOS.

We use on premise R-HUB HD video conferencing servers for all our video sharing and video conferencing needs. We prefer it because it is easy to use and provdes 30 way HD video conference, plus works on all platforms viz Windows, MAC, Android, iOS etc.
My favorite is ZOOM.

One of the "cool" features of this phone is the fact that it can make videocalls using the front camera... But, in the US, who else has this feature where you can actually use it for that? lol
Are there any other programs that can access the camera, where I can video chat with someone, like on yahoo or aim (while connected via WiFi)? I have Palringo and I will be the first to admit how cool it is, but I think the idea could be taken further? Any suggestions? Anyone tried that VZOchat ?Thanks in advance...
Title says it all, will we be able to do a video call with a pc user who is using a webcam?
Qik allows it, so yes.

I'm assuming private chat, not recorded and posted on my qik page. I can't seem to find much about it, does anyone know where I can find more about it?
yes, new app? w/ Qik...
yes, the official launch they said that "an upgrade" (i believe through Qik, an app maybe?) will enable the phone to utilize phone to phone OR phone to pc video calls..."CALLS"...so it must be the case. i guess they foresaw having to compete w/ skype and verizon in this manner...w/ verizon's upcoming vphone (saygus) offering video conferencing software via android, more options may open up than just offered up front at sprint.
Also remember that the 4th gen iPhone will also have a front facing camera, as well as code in the os that point to iChat intergration.
I can't wait till we have an Android app that works with iChat!
This is an upgrade to the qik app or qik account. I wonder if it will cost. That would sure ruin it.
I'm praying for skype to skype video on the Evo.

same, stupid verizon, buying up skype.....
I know I'm half awake, so maybe I missed something, but from what I can see, Qik doesn't have a full desktop/PC app. They seem to be very phone centric.
They do have an app called "Qik-in-Touch" that runs on the desktop and will tell you when your friends are broadcasting publicly (or maybe privately to all friends?) but last time I played with it (when it first went beta), it didn't support webcam on the PC. So it was receive-only on the desktop.
It's something, but not a direct one to one video calling/chat. But maybe they've updated it since the last time I played with it, or maybe I just missed some things.

That's what I was concerned about, I haven't seen anything about being able to video chat to a PC

actually google bought Global IP Systems, they allow skype, qik and so on to have video calling and chat XD so we will see.
Wonder if Google Talk will be getting video chat on the PC and Android phones.
I my opinion that would be great. If you have a Android phone you have a gmail account so it only make sense that it should be coming.

Your prayers have been answered. Fring now supports video chatting with Skype.

Qik does it, but its an extra $5/month, like the post above fring will make skype video calls, or atleast recieve them for now, i havent seen it making a video call yet.

you can do pc to phone and viceversa it receives and makes calls i have already tested it
dont forget skype is releasing video chat on all android devices this year too
Fring is supposed to do skype with the front camera
Tested it today. Two evos both using fring, worked well on our subpar 3G service around here. I did Skype on PC to Fring (logged into a skype account) on an evo. Worked great all the same. I played with fring on an old windows mobile device, and had problems. Today on my evo, the experience was flawless.

Grab & install Fring from the Market. I've been using it for the past 2 days to video chat EVO > PC. PC users on Skype.
NYC is still 3G only, so its pretty bad, but switch to Wifi And I found the quality rather acceptable.
I was watching how the new os system for apple has facetime. It lets you have a call with a video stream of the person on the other end... How can we build a android software for htc not to duplicate their software, but to be better??????

theres already an app for that its called fring, if two people have fring you can video call over 3g and wifi, except our phones dont have front facing cameras, but its availible in the app market on 2.1 roms, and this and qik are the same apps the evo use. and this post should be in the cdma themes and apps section.
There is also an app called Knocking Live but that is a one way deal. You can broadcast a video to others.
Qik lets you record a stream to an internet page.
fring is the most complete allowing you to make calls over data, text, IM, and two way live video chat... but without a camera that faces you on the screen side it is not as cool as it seems.
Is there any app out there that will let me Video chat with a Desktop. Preferably using Skype or Google Video chat.
With Fring not supporting Skype anymore, it feels like a big chunk of functionality has been taken from my big bad phone.
I know that both fring and qik support phone to phone video chat but I'm the only one I know with a EVO so both are now useless to me now.
fring pleasesearch10chars
skype mobile is on the way.. i guess we just have to sit tight until then.
Fring supports SIP. So it's not completely taken away. It's just that no one uses Ekiga.
There's also SipDroid.
i usually use fring
Agreed, without skype fring is useless for me, even with skype fring was pretty useless due to the horrible quality of the program.
YES, there is. it's called "ooVoo Video Chat (Beta)". and yeah, there is an oovoo desktop client that has been out before the mobile version as you may/probably know. get the app from the market place.
holy dead thread revival!
Yahoo messenger also lets you video chat to desktop

Hi!
Is there any Android app that enables high-quality video calls (like Skype) to other users on a desktop computer that works with the Galaxy Tab and its front camera? I don't care if this would imply a certain ROM.
Skype including video support doesn't seem to be available for Android, neither does GTalk (am I right?). I tried vtok to do a video call to a GTalk Account but the video quality was awful.
Any ideas what I might try?
Thank you in advance!

Try this:
http://www.oovoo.com/
For PC, Mac, Android and I think that it is also available for iOS
The android app runs fine in my Galaxy tab but I haven't tested it on a video call
Are you running gingerbread? Get the talk installer from the market to have working video chat through gtalk.
