Hey.
I found out that the Go launcher for tablets works for my phone and delivers the same icon size and menues as it gives for the actual tablets.
But when i open it i allways get the menu of either downloading the one buildt for phones or quit the launcher.
Is there any way to bypass that message to continue to use it?
Or is there other launchers that delivers tablet UI to my 720p phone?
(Htc One x rooted)
The phone version works fine. Why a tablet view?

Because i love a big desktop on a "small" high res screen.
Why not just max out columns and rows on the one that works better?
Because i want to have the same UI and look as an tablet on my phone, but i cant seem to go into the root system of the launcher to remove the block cause the folder for the launcher is nowhere to find -.-
I got nothing. Yours is a strange need. Keep closing the prompt until you figure it out. Or just do as above and lock screen into landscape view.

Alright, i now got my galaxy s4 with a 1080p screen, is there any new or old upgraded launchers that allows resizing of text, icon size and collum numbers to make it look like a tablet theme?
Or perhaps a tablet made launcher which also works on phones?

You can try TSF shell and use it in landscape mode and increase the number of rows and columns
Or get Apex Launcher, this is free in the play store and allows to use it in tablet ui for phones but i dont know which one it is the normal or pro which is paid, sorry

Hey guys, just wanted to share an ICS search widget mod that works perfectly on our Notes. (Gingerbread) I found this app on the market awhile back, but was pulled down for an unknown reason. I did not write this app & unfortunately I do not even know who to give credit to.
Either way, this is the best method I've found for getting a high res ICS themed search widget - the voice icon also works perfectly. Just install the APK as you would any other application (file manager, root explorer, etc) and the widget will show up in your widget menu.
Here is a screenshot and download link :

You'll need a launcher that allows you to resize widgets, otherwise it will be 4x1 like the stock widget. I use ADW EX w/ 6x1. I know Go Launcher, Launcher Pro, SPB shell 3d, and many others will allow you to resize it.

How did you get your dock to look like that? I have the background image and the ICS icons, however when I set the background that white line touches the top of the icons rather than there being a "gap" like there should be!
I use Kovdev's ICS theme which i believe works with ADW and Go launcher.
Just reporting it worked for me in my Ace...
Downloaded! Great share!!

I didn't even think about it until I saw a picture of the One X in landscape orientation on HTC's Facebook page, I think it would be really cool if there was a mod to get our phones to go into landscape when not docked or connected to an MHL cable. I don't know about you guys but I hold my phone horizontally pretty much all the time except when making calls and would love to see my homescreen in landscape mode. So, count homescreen landscape capability as a top item on my mods wishlist. I would think it would be a pretty easy mod to do so I think we should all show our interest by posting in this thread and maybe one of our awesome and very appreciated devs will take notice.

Yeah, but I am really digging Sense 4.0 (I know, I'm shocked too). Would love to be able to do it with Sense.
Look for an app called "Rotation Locker"
When you run it, long press "Auto" in the menu that comes up and it will force all apps to rotate (even if they're not meant to), including Sense. I used it for a bit until I moved to Nova Launcher and can attest to it working pretty much flawlessly.

Thanks for the tip! Works great I would like to see a "native" solution but this will do just fine in the interim.
I noticed that the MHL HDMI adapter immediately forces landscape, and it does look pretty awesome.
Yeah, landscape is awesome. The app that stnguyen09 recommended, rotation locker, works awesome so check it out if you haven't. https://play.google.com/store/apps/...locker&feature=nav_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwyLDNd

As you can see in the picture above, the new Google Nexus 7 features some pretty cool looking widgets which show your media on the Play Store plus recommended apps and other downloads. It looks rather slick and I think would be great for our rather media-orientated Galaxy Notes, which are only a little bit smaller than the Nexus 7 devices after all. I was wondering whether it is possible to obtain these widgets for our Galaxy Notes. Anyone know of a way?

if you search this very same forum (themes and apps) for jelly bean market you can download and install the .apk file... same one used on the nexus tablet... when you install this .apk it also includes the new widgets you desire... only problem is they're sized for a tablet so they come in 7x4 or something like that... however if you use apex or nova as your launcher you can resize your home screen to a 7x7 layout... get the widget set up and then resize it to fit a 5x5 or 4x5 whatever your desire maybe... hope this helps

Anyone else try the new GameBox launcher? It was available for me in Galaxy Apps. Basically Game Launcher on steroids as it's an actual full-blown launcher that acts as a front end for all your games and incorporates all the Samsung game tools. Looks pretty, but I can't see using it as a full time launcher. I do have it set as a swipe action in Nova Launcher so I can access it by swiping the app drawer button.

It's not an app, it's an actual launcher. I use it like an app though by setting it via a shortcut through Nova Launcher.

Go to "Settings", "Applications", "Default Applications", "Home Screen", then select "GameBox" and hit the home key.
I have the S7 (non edge model) and was able to find and download this the other day on the Galaxy apps site but today I cant find it. is anyone else having this problem or was this originally intended only for the edge users?
*edit* never mind I found it on the google play store. it's now listed as an app that is not available in my country!
Thanks i use apex and made a icon of the app like you and it works perfect!!

Custom wallpaper made in Inkscape. It's Humphrey Bogart eating a hamburger with a hot dog in the other hand.
The icon in the bottom right corner is a folder.
Same for years first page on all my phones. I like Pixel 7 Pro default wallpaper. Which launcher you using? Is there issue with geatures and switching apps?
Same home screen for years, always with Nova Launcher Prime, I didn't changed anything on the P7P (and I hate navigation gestures)
Nova 7 launcher with flight pro icon pack. Haven't used any mods yet to play with status bar or anything else.
Nova Launcher, You icons and wallpaper, KWGT
Nova prima with some Kwgt. I like it minimal(icons are also folders).
Like to keep things simple.
Thank you, there are some really nice looking home screens out there, here's my screenshot.
Simple and clean
I keep using the same exact layout on every device I own. Packed with as many shortcuts as possible for a quicker access
Edit: The 2nd picture is the same home screen after a bit of New Year's cleaning
Dynamic island pill notification with smart launcher.

Love the wallpaper, I usually have a similar theme on mine.
I prefer less, being a minimalist. But I also root so I have full control over everything including theming.
AOSP Mods, Pixel Scratched icons, Nova Launcher beta 8
From left screen to right (3 screens) and pulldown...
Same setup for years, but I regularly only use 3-5 apps in a day, so the minimalism works for me
