[q] no zip recovery mode - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Bit of a problem:
I can't have a decent recovery mode. It seems that if I do not put a ZIP not renamed as EP101_SDUPDATE.zip in my MiCROSD card, the tablet can't recognize and install it. So if I have e.g. Android_Revolution_HD-EeePad_3.2.2.zip it is not recognized. I merely don't have a recovery mode, only a direct update (if it's recognized!).
The problem is that the tablet has the HC 8.6.6.19 version, that I could successfully root, and now I would like to put a ROM in it... but how, with this impossible recovery mode?

If you have 8.6.6.19, use RazorClaw to root and RecoveryInstaller to install CWM recovery.
Once you have done those things, flash any ROM you want.

stupid noob clockwork questions

I know this is very basic, but I rooted the phone and now have to put clockwork on the phone. so the question is, do i use the one click clockwork thing?
what about the rom manager version, can you flash that with a rooted system through normal recovery? or is it like no matter what I need 1 click clockwork on the phone before putting on a kernal that will have clockwork in it?

As of last night there is a shortcut now available.

Note, using reboot recovery or adb reboot recovery will take you to a "stock" recovery. Simply apply the update.zip on your SD card and clockworkmod will start up. (This method is better known as fakeflash)
Starting up recovery through ROM Manager will take you directly into clockworkmod.

Go to this thread and download the .zip of the ClockworkMod kernel. Rename the file "update.zip" and place it at the root of your SD card. Reboot into stock recovery by turning off the phone and then hold volume down/camera/power. There should be an option to install update.zip - do that. Now you can reboot the phone and you should have the ClockworkMod kernel installed. Go to the market and download ROM Manager. Open it up and select Flash ClockworkMod Recovery. After the file is downloaded select Reboot into Recovery. Your phone should reboot and automatically install Clockwork. Done.
From my understanding the .zip is signed so this should work, although I used a different method as I already had the old Clockwork Recovery installed when I installed the ClockworkMod kernel.
I think that you need either a custom recovery or use redbend ua to flash- the true stock recovery will not work as it is not signed by samsung etc

Possible To Automatically Flash Stock ROM?

My TF101 is essentially bricked and the only thing I can access is the stock recovery (for some reason APX mode doesn't work). Would it be possible to automatically flash a stock signed ROM by placing it on the sdcard and entering the stock recovery, kind of like how a PH98IMG.zip is flashed automatically in HBOOT with HTC devices?
Download the latest official firmware from Asus.
Extract the zip from within and rename it to "EP101_SDUPDATE.zip" (without the"" )
Put it on the root of your sdcard
Boot into stock recovery and it should flash it
yes... http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1781550
YOU GUYS JUST SAVED MY ASS AND MY TRANSFORMER!!!
I only had the stock recovery on my TF, no OS and it wasn't booting into to APX mode for some reason so I couldn't use NVFLASH. I seriously thought I was screwed! You guys just made my day!

Cant flash recovery

I Downloaded the CWM ROM Manager from the play store and it updated me from Rouge Recovery to CWM 6.... something. Problem is that this new version of CWM will not mount my SD card, so I cant flash anything, including a new Recovery. I tried using Rouge Recoveryys nvflash method to flash a new recovery from my pc but it didnt work( here are the instructions i followed http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1123429). I installed the drivers for my TF101 without issue, but when I run the .bat file it just dissconnects the device and does nothing. Any help would be great, i just want to find another way to replace my recovery.
EDIT: Problem Solved http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1346180 instant recovery flash, threw me back to CWM 3. something but it mounted my sd card and BOOM good to go.

[Q] asus transformer tf700 wont start up

please help it says it has no os installed when i go to recovery mode is there a way i can install it with an sd card? where can i download it from please help
Friend - how are we supposed to help if you give us NO information????
How did you get yourself into this pickle?
I used the coffee grounds from my afternoon latte to guess this:
You have a custom recovery installed and can boot into it - which one?
You wiped from recovery and included your system partition. Not a good idea if you're not prepared to flash the rom right afterwards....
You ran some custom rom - which one?
What bootloader do you have installed?
Fastboot access working or ADB in recovery?
If you're really lucky all you have to do is copy your favorite custom rom on a fat32 formatted microSD, stick it in the tablet, boot to recovery and flash the rom.
That is if you have the correct bootloader and recovery installed, but how would I know?

Troubleshhoting ROOT problem, please help!

So here's the thing. I have a Galaxy Note Edge SM-N915T (UVU1ANK3) I wanted to root it and am stuck in a state I cannot seem to get out of after searching all over the internet for. I got TWRP on the phone but that's about it, the interesting thing that I challenge anyone to help fix is how to get SuperSU on the internal SD from my computer since I cant get the phone to go past the Note Edge startup screen (I'll come back to this) and when I plug the phone into the computer it won't recognize it to pull up the storage. The other problem is in TWRP, it says there is no OS installed so I cannot do anything on the phone at all other than TWRP and the flashing screen. When I try to install ROM's I get an error code of fused 2> binary 1 not sure what all that stuff means.
In Summary:
1. No OS installed
2. SuperSU unable to put in internal SD
3. Fail to flash ROM's to phone.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Have you tried flashing via adb? And tell me whats the version of yor twrp btw. You might need to switch in cwm recovery though as that one worked for me in my gsmart phone

Okay I'll start from the important to the less.
1/3.No OS installed:
Make sure you are using the latest and the correct twrp for your device (TWRP 3.1.0) through odin
Here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4092902
Or twrp recovery -or any other custom rom-
https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4092901
And you can try installing a custom ROM through it
P.S you can't flash official tar or tar.md5 files through twrp
Or get into download mode and flash official frimware with odin
2. Rooting:You got 3 options
-moving it after flashing the firmware through odin -or a custom rom-
-puting the SD card in another phone to move the zip file to it
-using card reader to move through pc
works also if you couldn't port the right zip custom
