Anything GB I would assume...ICS is hit or miss...worked for me sometimes...like sending texts but calls worked once...and then I had to reboot to make it work again...

2.3.3 or cm7 only for me and LOTS of others, probably 98%!!! wifi calling is reported not to work on MIUI or CM9/4.0.x roms at the moment.

I have had success with Eaglesblood AOSP 4.04 ICS. Wifi call is working but when i send an mms it fails. SMS works fine. You can download straight from their site or xda. Go to eaglesblood.com
Their instructions are very easy to follow. The devs are working hard on this one. They are working on a 3rd build/update to the existing AOSP 4.04 ICS now. Maybe today or tomorrow?
Gingerbread ROMs should work fine. ICS not so much because none of the devs AFAIK have figured out why ICS has trouble reading the SIM card.
That is what don from EaglesBlood said is the holdup with ICS.
I've personally used the stock Froyo, GB 2.3.3 and 2.3.4, plain CM7 2.3.7, and EaglesBlood CM7-based 2.3.7 ROMS and Wi-Fi Calling worked flawlessly on all of them.
One problem you may be encountering if you are using GB and still can't get it to work is related to using too-new of a SIM card. There are 2 models that people have, I believe the TM9037 is the older style that works properly.

Simple as that, I hate to run stock, but I need hdmi for tv support and dont know which roms support them. Thanks!
None, only eclair does, not GB
Edit: stock GB rom will also but custom GB roms with custom kernels Will Not!

I believe only the Vagabond ROM supports HDMI because it runs a stock kernel. Other than that all other ROMs do not support it.
i thought the Froyo roms would because they were all based on stock roms and kernels?
as far as i know the hdmi/bluetooth issues didnt begin until GB ports
I got the infused 2.2.1, last update, 1.6 I think. HDMI works great.

The Infused ROM does indeed works great. Don't change anything if your phone is running perfectly the way you want it.

I like the newer, faster roms, don't get me wrong. I just need things to work. Had a girl friend in grade school, she was in high school -- older is better.
Is it just me or does this make no sense?

I just updated to the march 2012 baseband, it is running T-Mobile stock 2.3.4 android v21y. With this new baseband, will the other ROMs in the G2x development forum work?
EDIT: CM 7.2 RC 3 works now... get.cm
Sent from my LG-P999 using Tapatalk 2
Anything with v21y in it yes those are stock based custom roms, where as cm7/9 will not

Just BuROM and kwes's ROM for now.
Ok, thanks for the help!
Supposedly CM7 does now

Btw can you please post a link where they say it now supports the new baseband?
cm7 rc3 works! In call audio sounds good but a little lower than stock mod roms. Can't wait for some one to get MIUI working now that cm got it figured out!!!

Thanks.
I downloaded the CM 7 RC3 build and installed. Works perfectly. In call audio works, GPS still works (althought it took like 30 seconds the first time), data works. And all CM features are there. Make sure that after you also install google apps for market, proper connection to google account etc.
Quick Question
I cant find the 27th nightly. Does everything work properly because i have the new BB and 2.3.4 and want to get a working rom such as cyanogen with no problems. Also which is the RC3 you are speaking of CM7.2.0 RC3 2012-05-26 16:53:23? Which is better for my system the Stable version or rc3 version. Thank you.

Kinda old thread if you want cm go with 7.2 stable and if you want a custom rom that's not compatible with the new bb just flash this zip by owain right after you flash the rom http://db.tt/fC1QynNS.... Please note that any rom other than stock won't have bluetooth calling and there's no know fix yet

working ics 4.0.4 (call audio, no BT)
Hey! I have a working ICS using the ICS EB4.0.4 is confirmed to have call audio and text messaging does work, however I believe that Bluetooth may still be an issue. I made a guide for it.

Okay guys, im relatively new here but I'de like to think I know enough to get around and rom properly
I'm currently on a RAT Locked Radio (UCLF6) and an ATT ROM ICS (Sky ICS 4.2F) and am looking to switch to an AOSP or AOKP ROM that is very clean, simple, and as stock AOSP as possible.
The main issue I am having with my ROM is that the RAT is locked and I really needed the option of turning off LTE because I am in a test area and I keep getting flaky reception due to this. So i know to flash a RAT Unlocked Rodgers radio, heres the issue:
I cant seem to find any info out there on which ROMs that are purely AOSP and will support the radio that I seek. I also cant seem to figure out which ones people are using the most.
So Android community, what radio / Rom combo do you guys think would work for me? I'm honestly confused and any input is greatly appreciated.
Not sure about the radio side of things, but I love the CyanogenMod9 Rom. Very slick. Currently in nightly. I would only use a ROM from the developers section. (i.e.- don't just download a from zip from some random site....)
Best thing is to follow one of the noob guides to a T.
Lots of bricked Skyrockets out there...
I run CM9 nightly builds with CWM as my recovery. Works great!
Happy Modding!

If you want pure ICS. Go with cm9. You can use any rogers radio along with it as long as its ICS based. So the radio for their official release should work perfect.

Didn't i hear that people would flash Rogers radio and it would allow the ability to toggle lte
I also think there is data code you can type in dialer that takes you to engineer mouse or something like that don't ask me that is all i know
oh and cm9 ftw paired with instigators kernel
CM9 Skyrocket

anyone have a link to the CM9 thread? I cant seem to find it for some reason -_-
This thread is your friend: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1785999
Which then leads to these:
Official CM9 For Skyrocket: http://get.cm/?device=skyrocket
or
Cyanogenmod 9 with UCLF6 libs: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1762998
Myself, I would like to try the official CM9 RC2. Just wondering what Gapps are and if it's needed or beneficial on the official CM9.
I just switched over to CM9 RC2
This rom is smooth but the battery life is terrible and the LTE toggle isnt working properly.
Can i flash Rogers radio over this? anyone have any tips or suggestions? will the radio affect the ROM?

Gapps= Google Apps.

Try the nightly cm9 and the custom kernal for it. Cymbaline I believe. Or embryo used both and haven't had any issues.
Sent from the dark side of CM9 on my skyrocket.
I prefer Instigators with the Bad ass Script.... runs awesome on RC2 or the current nightly...

And yes you can use a Rogers radio rux something or another

What kernel is better for MIUI4?
Need working wi-fi and GPS
I'd wait just a little bit for an awesome kernel
something different?
using frosted chery, wi-fi not working

Dude, what are you talking about? Wifi works on all ics roms in the dev section. It must be your phone
installed WiFix. Now wifi works fine
I think he is referring to portable WIFI hotspot.
After i flashed Mazouts_CM10.1Build2, everything works except mobile (Videotron)
When i dial a phone number, Contact reset itself !
What should i do ?
Thanks all !
Uh, install a different ROM or use Wi-Fi calling? There is no radio/mobile calling on that ROM
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk 4
lol what BkK said. There is no radio on that ROM or any true CM 10.1 build.
Thanks guys ! So what ROM do you suggest that runs fast and everything works ?
Plain old vanilla cm7. You can get it from get.cm. the latest nightly for our device is extremely stable. I personally prefer some of the ics roms that you can find around the dev section. Eagles blood, paranoid Android and hellfire sandwich are all ics roms that I have enjoyed using. Currently on Hellfire sandwich and am liking it however I will say I think eagles blood 4.0.4 aosp is the most stable of all the ics roms I have ran. Only thing that doesn't work that is relevant for me is the video mode for the camera and video playback is really crappy.
