Hello People,
anybody knows a good online shop where parts for the TF10 can be bought? I need the circuit with the microSD card reader, hdmi and audio jack.
Thanks in advance.

Wow ~90 Euro for the board with shipping is kind of expensive.
Anyone knows where to get a 3.5 jack connector for the TF101 or what exact one should fit on the board? I saw 5 pins.

I think the google desktop dock is way to expensive, as i only need it as a charger and have no need for the A2DP function.
But all the cheap dock's on ebay uses the USB connection and not the dock pins, has anybody found a cheap dock that has dock pins connection?
It's much more convenient to be able to just drop the phone in a dock instead of needing to connect the phone to a dock, and be able to use the dock mode is a plus when you use it as an alarm clock.
I was wondering the same thing, is it that hard to reproduce that? I havnt seen anything besides the usb ones either and i have heard it can screw up the usb connection of n1s so didnt want to buy one of those
Exactly the same thoughts here
does anyone have specs of which pins do what? (i.e. do you apply +5 v to pin 1, ground to pin2, etc)
i've got some ideas on a homebrew dock.

Search for the thread: "Dock Pinout"
It seams that it alot harder, that there is a binary communication in one of the pins, not just a current that tells it to go into dock mode...
Doh! delete my post haha.
Just bought an original Nexus One Desktop Dock brand new from Ebay for $15.00 . The seller has 49 more available. It arrived today and it's all original with sealed packaging. Just throwing it out there if anyone is interested.

Too bad it isn't shipped for free outside the US. Shipping costs are more than half of the costs of the dock itself :silly:

brought last week http://www.ebay.com/itm/-/330770220824?item=330770220824
Dock US $15.00
Shipping US $8.46 (Germany)
Thats €18,65 (a new one costs 60€ at launch day ..)
I bought the dock when I first got the nexus one. If you guys get one for cheap and want to continue using the Nexus One, go for it. I mean the phone does slide down easly if the bump against the dock. But the lack of wear on the usb connector is well worth it.
Do you mind giving any feedback on this unit? I want to buy a separate charger cause I have a spare battery and OEM dock the previous owner bought new with the phone but I want to be able to charge the spare battery without swapping back and forth from the phone. Its a real hassle. I don't want to buy a charger that ends up cooking the battery.

Thanks for the link, seems fine but a little too expensive :S
Is there an HDMI output cable for the sensation to watch HTC watch on the big screen?
You need an MHL adapter which will convert your Micro USB out to HDMI. Then you can use whatever HDMI cable you want.

wow, this has to be the 5th time ive seen this question in the accessories thread :/
also, MHL adaptors are hard to find retail, best bet is to buy online...theyre cheaper and easier to get
I bought one from Expansys, here in the UK.
Got the 'unbranded' one - cheap, and works perfectly.
Just, whatever you buy, make sure it's 'MHL' - there are plenty of things out there which have the right plugs on each end - they won't work, unless they're MHL!!

I bought the same one from Expansys UK and it works perfect. Hell of a lot cheaper too than official one's!
I've been looking around and still can't find anyone who has found or tried a USB to VGA adapter on the transformer. I've heard of the hdmi to vga but thats digital and I don't beleive that would work without an expensive converter.
Anybody tried one and verified that we actually have drivers to run this? Any other ideas?

Analog to digital has some loss, while the hdmi-vga adapter (digital-digital) from Asus is $30 USD.
It has a mini-hdmi for the TF101. You can get an adapter on ebay to micro-hdmi and use on your phone, too.
The digital adapter quality varies, but the Asus hdmi-vga works on 1280x800 so it likely supports WXGA. It might work or might not work with WUXGA 1920x1080 but I have not tested. Other hdmi-vga adapters, with 10 bit d/a converters, usually do support WUXGA, but they also do not usually have micro-hdmi plugs so you need more adapters.
Good luck.

Do you know a good place to find the adapter? I've been wanting to pick up the Asus HDMI->VGA adapter, but I can't find it anywhere. The official webstore doesn't seem to have it, nor does Amazon.
your question title looks like 'USB to vagina'
clicked it, was totally dissapointed
haha
there's a thread in accessories about this. it seems most of the accessories are only available in europe.

Here is an update in my accessories thread, IN STOCK hdmi to vga adapters.
Also, Excaliber has ETA but that not reliable. I would not preorder with them again.
Hi ,
Does anyone know where to buy hardware spare parts for the desire ?
I need the FPC connector from the circuit board (which connects the digitiser).
Or completly distroyed boards i can disassemble.

Nobody ???
Maybe the brand of those connectors ?
I think they can only be bought with the digitizer.

Yes , you are correct.
But i mean the female connectors on the PCB.
I think the female connector for the digitiser is a :
Hiroso FH35R-33s-0.3-SHW-90
Now, where to buy ??
hi everybody, are MHL to HDMI converters linear? I mean is there an IC in the converters or not? and if there is, can somebody provide a schematic on it?
thanks.
I'm pretty sure there is a chip in there. Are you trying to build your own adapter? They are cheap enough it probably isn't worth the effort. I got mine for 10 USD.
