I don't get voicemail notifications at all in my galaxy nexus. Wtf. :( - General Questions and Answers

I just decided to check my voice mail and I noticed that I had 17 missed voicemails.and i haven't received a single notification glee any of them. It's never worked on my phone, but it is now irritating me. Is it something that I can fix or do I have to call Verizon?

May get a GS3 cause I'm crazy. Couple questions though

I may get a GS3 but only if I can do a couple things ...maybe one thing. Can we remove the annoying, persistent WiFi notification in a stock ROM that's rooted and clockworked? Thank you!

Yea. I'm running Beans latest ROM n I don't get that notification

There is also a dialer code you can type in that will give you the option to turn it off.
Why would you need to be crazy to get a GS3?
Edit: IIRC it still shows up in the same spot after the code, but it shuts up about saying you should use Wifi and such
(been a while since stock, my bad)

I've read of some XML edits that can remove it but it'd need to be stock. I run stock, rooted so it'd need to be removable from the stock ROM. I wouldn't wanna see it in my notification bar or the pull down. And crazy cause I've had about a dozen phones in a year. I have a problem.

Yes, I'm also stock and rooted and i removed it, as well as that stupid popup about known networks in range.

The last update took it off for me. Haven't rooted yet and was prompted for the update I took it and after the reboot the WiFi notification was gone.

Lost face unlock on Codename Android 3.6.6

Any idea why it is missing going from 3.6.5 to 3.6.6? Nothing about it in the change log.

I believe for CNA you have to flash face unlock
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda premium
I'll have to keep looking.
I don't remember flashing anything other than MMS fis when I originally installed the ROM.
Edit: Found it on another thread. Re-Flashed Google Apps and it is working now.

Jelly bean problem

Hey guys i got one annoying issue and maybe its just me? I installed three different Jb builds, one was odin flash and other two were flash zips. Now my problem is that when i recieve a txt or missed call, and i wake the phone i get that (swipe across) tutorial message every time it wont go away no matter what i do. It comes back every time. Wtf
Any ideas are appreciated.
And yes i deselected the box in lock screen settings
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
I assume you're talking about jelly bean touchwiz, and based on what i know about touchwiz (haven't used it in a month or two) i believe there is a setting to turn off the tutorial messages.
Try freezing Help. I've never had the problem, but that's what I've heard has been people's fix.

Boot manager

Is there a blue folder available for the s3? I'm using the Galaxy mod ROM now and really like it but I'd like to keep checking out new rooms. Is there a convenient way to boot up another rom without having to wipe out what I'm running?

It gets me all the time too! But as of now there is not, there are some in the works from what I hear. So right now the easiest way is to make a backup and flash then just restore when you're ready to go back

Yes unfortunately no Boot Manager yet. Init2winit apps is unable to support the app anymore. The good news is that they are currently trying to find a reputable dev to take it over. Hopefully someone will.

I was really excited when it came out for the droid x. I bought it and really never used it, it just didn't work right. Cool idea but never work for me. I am sure the dx having a locked bootloader really held it back.

Thanks for the feedback. i used safe strap 3 for my motorola razr it allowed you to create a seperate boot partition, boot into recovery and choose the active-one . Is there something similar?

Instead of making a new thread every 6 hours maybe you should start one thread for all of your issues.
To help you..you need to help us. What ROM are you using? What version of that ROM? What recovery did you use to flash? This might help you to get the answer you are looking for with just a little more info.

How did you flash? Custom recovery or Odin? For the limited time that I was on stock JB 4.1.2 I did not have the issues you are. Best bet would be to backup all your files to a computer and Odin back to stock. That usually sorts out alot of issues.

I was on 4.2.2 cyanogen (i think that's the correct name) and then used Odin to go back to 4.1.2. I have this problem for a while... It happened a couple of times before going to 4.2.2 but not as frequent as now... It's really hard to use my phone without having to lock it and reopen the app I was using...

So it only happens when you use a certain app? If so..I would say the app is causing this and it may not be fully compatible.

Wipe cache and dalvik cache..maybe fix permissions to. If that does not help...Odin back to stock again. Sounds like something got borked in your flashing process (in other words user error).
