Samsung I9000 Galaxy S
Samsung Google Nexus S I9023

Personally, I would go with Xperia Arc S, best UI and the most sexy phone in the list. (In fact, is the most sexy phone EVER). But other phone I think is good is the Nexus S.

Nexus S is a very nive phone and is a very popular. If you like to flash roms and such, it is a great phone for expiremental and stable builds. Its got an ICS port I believe. Otherwise I would go with the Xperia Arc.

I prefer the Nexus S from your list.

Nexus s, fantastic processor and GPU and it's a nexus phone so you will consistently get software updates.

Just wondering what phone people have switched from?
I have come from HTC Wildfire and loving the HTC One S

I'm coming from a Desire.
Real upgrade!

My previous phone was a SE Xperia X10 Mini Pro (the old one)

From a 2 years old Desire.

AMOLED Desire. Served well for over 2 years with a spare battery and custom ROMs

From the HTC Sensation, Before that was the Samsung Galaxy S... I still have both. they are excellent phones The SGS is amazing considering its age.

Nexus One, which I have handed on to my husband.

Still using my galaxy gio until I get my one S the 27th. It's gonna be a massive upgrade

Currently owning a Wildifre S, can't wait to get my hands on the One S.
Still 7 days to go and counting down

have a sensation now....will be getting the one s on the 25th
i was debating over one s or galaxy nexus....but the build quality and sense sold me on the S

i also switched from my 2 year old Desire using CM7, can't wait to flash CM9 on my One S!

HTC Tattoo... had 2year contract.

Dumb phones -> Nokia 5800 -> HTC Touch HD -> HTC HD2 -> Nexus S -> HTC Desire HD -> HTC Sensation -> HTC One S. Was considering taking Galaxy Nexus for a couple of months but finally skipped it.

From incredible s, not many people had it but very good phone but not anywhere near one s

What where your 2 best ever smartphones? (baring your current phone)

For me its was
Blackberry 8800, tough as hell, great battery, utterly reliable, brilliant email, facebook and twitter
HTC Incredible S pre ICS
The sheer speed I could dance with my fingers with that version of android, ICS I think ruined the Inc S.

Galaxy Note 2

The first HTC Incredible and Galaxy S3.
Two worst were the Samsung Gem and Motorola Devour.
The Devour was the worst droid ever.

I only owned two smart phones so far they were droid x2 and dinc2 Software wise the dinc2 is better then the dx2 but hardware wise the dx2 is better.
But what's better then both of them is my nexus7. Has better hw then dx2 and better sw then dinc2.

What phone to buy for $ 300

I have an LG Nexus 4 and am about to buy a second phone. The only phone that I like for that price is the HTC HD2 for the development he has. Still it worth buying HTC HD2 or it's too old fashioned?

thanks for the advice. But I bought a new HTC HD2 for $ 210. I know it's an old model. But has the bootloader unlocked and runs various OS.

For a little more you can buy a Motorola RAZR I, or you can stay under budget and get a Sony Xperia tipo. It's really good; its even got ICS. Not keen on Sony's skin though.
