Hi everyone! New version!
I write this thread to show the application I made with my mate Waninkoko.
We have been some time developing it and we want to share it with everybody.
It's an application to play songs via streaming and download them for Android devices (2.1+).
You can find any song you imagine and play it anywhere.
We also take good care of the interface and functionality. (You can see some pictures attached)
It has many features, it will be in constant developing. Now after we have stabilized version, we are going to add nice features and work on it. Now we have time :good:
New version has new search engines since main engine fail sometimes. Although first works very good we want you can always listen music, so understand funtion of other engines
You can find more information and the download here
or download it directly to your phone using a QR reader:
If you prefer the APK file (only old versions) (added on second post)
If you have any suggestions, opinions, or anything else, just leave a comment or send an email to the developer through Google Play.
Greetings! And I hope you like it.

Works fast and smooth on my g2x with euroskank cm7, great job already can't wait to see where this goes! Searches offer quick results with quite a few matches, more then likely you WILL find what you want.

Works fine on my SGS2 Awesome work
Btw...what websites is this app using?
Waninkoko? As in from the Wii homebrew scene? So this is what he's up to these days...
Okay installed fine on my HTC Thunderbolt, however I getting FCs
Works great on my SGS Vibrant
The little button that brings up the controls though is really laggy, well atleast the animation is.
Also, the buttons and the colors etc. Don't match at all. This is by far the most stylish music downloader i have ever used, but the controls just look horrible with the beauty of the holo theme.
Thanks for a great app, is there a place where I can upload more mp3's? There's a few that aren't able to be downloaded on here.
I agree controls could be prettier. Otherwise wonderful app.

Yes, the same one xD Now I prefer Android over IOS (Wii and Apple's IOS )

About the controls design... What wrong with it? The background? The buttons? Both? Better a background matching Holo theme?

Everything is beautiful about the app. But the multi coloured buttons do look somewhat out of place.

Make them grey. or any color for that matter, as long as they match the ui.

I would like to see a Status Bar Control feature like Google Play Music or Holo Music or other apps.
Like in my attached Screenshot
And I've noticed a small bug. If you finished listening to a track, the notification disappears like it should. But if you go to the App then and move the progress bar slider backwards and press play, the notification does not re-appear

Yes, make it look exactly the way the rest of the UI looks. The buttons when active are the holo blue, if not active, their white, the background would be the grey color of the rest of the app.
Thanks for taking suggestions.

Just snagged the app and gave it a quick test..and i gotta say its a beautiful looking music app. I love how you guys integrated a music identifier like "Shazam" into it naturally and it worked flawlessly in telling me what song i was playing on my laptop..Gotta say i'm liking the clean approach you took with this music app

Very clean but slow/laggy when I do things including something as simple as moving the notification bar up and down.
Really love the interface
So simple and smooth. Looks like a iOS app
I am loving the GUI.
does this app have a lockscreen widget?...or a widget at all?
So far it's a great start.
Requests:
Genre searching
Smart playlist (i.e. recently played, most played)
Lockscreen widget
More widget options (sizes)
Some simple themes (i.e. the default theme seems to be white, so I'd like to see how a dark theme looks)
The special/smart shuffle which plays similar songs is really good. Great job with that.
I really like the widget, but request that the instinctiv logo on the side be replaced with album art.
I like the UI a lot, but I feel the bottom bar of the now playing screen is taking up too much space. Personally I think it would look better if the bottom buttons were enlarged a bit and the whole bottom bar was smaller, both to give more album art space and better look in general imo.
And perhaps the songs/artists/albums text could be a bit bigger when scrolling. (but I may just not be used to it, so I don't know)
I'll add more suggestions/requests as I think of them.
All in all, a great start though. There's a lot of cool and useful stuff about this player and I look forward to seeing it advance.

Changelog:
Beta 2
-Added all the translations submitted to the UberMusic translation project. If any of the translations in your language seems wrong, feel free to head over to the project page and submit better translations (if someone already submitted a better translation, you can help by upranking the best translation).
-Added gestures for switching songs in the "Now Playing" screen. Swipe from right to left to go to the next track, and from left to right to go to the previous track.
-Added an option in the settings to choose and apply a skin. Skins can be installed through the Android market once skin developers start publishing them there. If you would like to make skins for UberMusic, please read the UberMusic Skin Creation Manual
-Fixed the Last.fm scrobbling through the official app that got broken in Beta 1
-Fixed a force close issue when opening folders with apostrophes in the path.
Beta 1
Note: The user interface is now driven by the new skinning engine. I'll be releasing all the details on how to make skins as soon as I'm finished writing them (will take some time). I think this app has the most powerful skinning engine on the market right now.
The official/default skin drops the WP7 look, but the skinning engine is flexible enough that it can be made to look exactly like the previous Alpha versions through skins. If you want the WP7 look back, you'll have to wait until someone releases a skin for it (which I'm sure won't take long once the details on how to make skins are released). The Beta versions have a different package name than the Alphas, so they can coexist in your device (you can install the Beta without overwriting the Alpha).
Also, I've started a Crowdin.net (collaborative transaltion) project for UberMusic. So if you'd like to see UberMusic translated in your language, feel free to head over to the project page and submit translations/corrections or vote for the best translations.
-Changed the disable lockscreen option so that it only disables the lockscreen when something is playing. It should also work even if you leave the Now Playing screen, but it's not failproof.
-Changed the layout of the Now Playing screen on LDPI devices so that scrolling isn't necessary.
-Improved the track seeking functionality of the progress indicator. You can now click anywhere on the indicator to seek to that position.
Alpha 7:
-Fixed the force-close when opening the Recently Added playlist.
-Fixed the trash can appearing on the Album screen.
Alpha 6:
-Playlists can now be edited through the app. Open a playlist and press Menu > Edit. Use the handles (up/down arrows) to drag/move songs. Drag them to the trash can to remove them from the playlist.
-The widget's Play button should now work even if the queue is empty.
-Added a menu item on the Now Playing screen to go to Settings.
-Added an option to disable the lockscreen while on the Now Playing screen.
-You can now choose to scrobble through the official Last.fm app, through ScrobbleDroid / SLS, or disable it entirely.
-Fixed some problems in the shuffling code that were causing force closes.

Nope... it's a WP7 Music app for Android. It looks so realistic that it's easy to get it confused with the real thing
Status bar is where you'll notice that it's not genuine WP7.
EDIT: after talking with Fede, I realised that this post should not be here, UberMusic's going to become a paid app very soon. Someone please remove it.

Amazing app!
UberMusic, Alpha 7, is already my default player. The "lock screen" feature has definitely won me over!
Fede, I have only one more request: a feature to disable or customize the automatic artist background. I assume this is done through Google Images. I listen to classical music and the "auto pic" is amazingly precise. But sometimes it fails and this kind of bothers me. I prefer no background at all to a wrong one.
This app is a real winner

Fede chose UberMusic as the name because in urban dictionary, it means,
"The ultimate, above all, the best, top, something that nothing is better than."

On Alpha 5 and 6 i had problems where it kept force closing when i tried to select an album. hope it works better in alpha 7. mind you i still ready have this as my main player now.
I was wondering why Fede picked UberMusic. sounds really odd!
Wow, thanks man! Awesome player.
I think that i am just having brain problems but ...
How do you select random and repeat in this app ... other than that it looks and behaves great ...

It really will depend on many settings, but first and foremost its the glow styles - try them all and you will see how much of a difference you can make. For me on CM everything is smooth, at least in the three of four themes ive customized.

Dont you think youve got enough free stuff? Ditalix comes with plenty right out of the box and custom images are only a dollar. One bloody dollar. How am i supposed to feed my kid when everyone wants everything for free? Or would you rather i put airpush in there, so you can host block it and i get zip...
Anyway, its not going to happen. The vast majority of revenue is generated in countries which have full access to the Store.

What About Pushing to System/App
I don't know about the app, but as far as I know, Apollo is developed by Andrew Neal (andneal, if I'm not mistaken) and putting your name as a developer in the app seems wrong in my opinion. You should put him in the credits (preferably in 'Special thanks').
Also, installs on N5 5.1.1, it doesn't really feel 'Material' but it got the look of it.
Thank you!
Works great, looks great. For those of you who don't like the color scheme, this has many themes in the playstore.
That's very good alternative for standard music player
Work find on PureNexus rom but very slow response. I press play and it delay about 3 second must play my music

do what !
I've been trying the music player for some hours now, it's really nice and stable too.
I modded the app a bit, I couldn't feel the 'material design' on it (most of the icons are mash up of Holo icons and MD, and the UI just doesn't feel right for material design). Screenshot of the mod is on the link below.

Another one, here.
Anyway, the music player is a nice revival of Apollo. I loved Apollo since the first time it came out on CM10 (or CM9, I dunno).
Suggestions (because I love to see this music player develop) :
- Add density specific drawable, the original music player provided by OP only have drawable for HDPI devices. This messes up the scaling of drawable on XXHDPI devices.
- Again, the icons looks like a mash up of Holo & Material Design
- It needs more material feely into it. The app gets the UI of Material right, but it fails to feel like a Material Design app (it feels like a Holo app modified to a Material Design)
- There's some color error here and there. The one I notice most is on Album. Just tap any entry on Album tab, and you'll notice that the 'Songs' tab on the album is black on black. This is mostly bad on dark colored album cover
That's probably all for now, thanks for reviving this awesome music player !
