When I'm listening to music on HTC Sensation XE with this ROM mounted I can notice not so rare music stuttering, I mean the music interrupts for some little amount of time, like a gap in the song playing and it's really annoying, it happens with Google Play Music and with DoubleTwist too so I don't think it's a player blame and it never happened with other Roms like InsertCoin or OrDriod or stock! Is it happening also to you with this ROM?

Hi !
Maybe, just maybe !.. Music might not be the strong point of the Virtuous Inquisition 4.0.2 ROM... Like you, I've experienced sound issues. I was still using the ROM as is. So, I don't think I had done anything wrong up to that point. I then tried other players (Music Player Pro and, later, Power Amp) but to no avail... Tweaking the apps as best as I know to just didn't make it. Sound was poor.
Sadly, because VI 4.0.2 is otherwise great, I switched to an other (great) ROM (SharkDrOiD) and got a much more pleasant sound experience.
Cheers !
Thanks for the reply bur I returned to InsertCoin cuz I love Beats Audio and I really like Sense even if it's not so responsive, but acceptable by the way!

I have the Anker 1900mh battery and get 3 days with decent usage.

The problem with a question like this is that battery life is completely subjective to what you actually do with your phone. What is good for someone might be crap for someone else.
You just have to give them a try and see what works for you

Just wanted to know if there was some way in changing the default sound enhancer of the stock music player to 'No effects'. It always sets itself to 'SRS enhancement'- on startup, and even if I just selected 'no effects'- it reverts back to SRS automatically.
And this is just in regard to the stock player- I'm not a big fan of PowerAMP or Winamp. It's just that IMHO, I feel that the 'no effects' option delivers the best quality without much disruption. 'Beats' feel good as well- but only at times.
Thanks in advance,
Tony
Just checked on mine as I usually use Poweramp. Switched it to no effects and then played a few songs. Restarted the phone and then went to the music player again and the no effects is still selected. So I'm not sure why your one is overriding the setting and reverting back to SRS.

Seriously? Is it just me or is anyone else having this issue? Just for info I'm running on ELEGANCIA Rom v1.3 and on stock kernel. I'm not really sure but I think I had the same issue when I was on Leedroid. Had the bug from the very start- so it shouldn't be an error in any custom apps. And I did a superwipe before flashing- so rules out errors there as well.
Like I mentioned earlier, it never stays on 'no effects'. It's always on SRS no matter what. The beats option works fine though..
If it helps I'm running ARHD 4.1.8 with the no-sense script. Have only just flashed back to this as was running the Miui rom but found the screens too awkward to organise. In saying that tho - you may find it its the Beats add on that is causing the effects.
Bump. Can I confirm if anyone else on Sense 3.5 w/ Beats add on is facing this?

It's a problem with beats mods up to a point and me and a couple of others have solved it and the best way to get rid of it is to flash my Beats Audio XE mod in the themes and apps section and it will be solved

Thanks mate, the beats mod from your thread seemed to solve the issue. Can select 'No effects' now and it sticks to it. However- it does revert back to SRS after a reboot- not an issue though, but is this set by default?
I have a similar issue with a stock sensation - however it always starts the player on no effects, rather than one of the equalizer settings it was left on previously. Maybe we should swap phones?

No, maybe a bad flash coz I don't have this problem, although maybe that's coz mine is permanently set on Beats Audio mode, I shall look into this though as I consider it a bug

hi...........
i used many ICS sense 3.6 roms and in all rom i have noticed a lag while playing a 720p video..........and games also have video lag...........
how to solve it ????????
please help
I haven't seen this bug, however I would guess that with the system still being Beta, this has something to do with it.
Sent from my HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio Z715e using XDA App
Yeah it's probably due to the 'beta status' of the ROM's.
You might just have to wait for the final release for it to be fixed.
but even 2 mb games gets stuck on this versions
It could also be to do with the qHd of the screen. I know this sounds rather strange, but if you try using a game such as NinJump, you'll find that the application completely locks up. This is due to some applications not supporting the display and I would certainly double check that this isn't the issue you are experiencing.

For video games, disbale force gpu option in development setting.
It depends what you want, but custom roms tend to be better. You have almost unlimited support and the freedom of being able to switch to and from New features.

is skype working in htc sense 3.6 ????
hey there
i searched this forum and the web and didnt find a solution for my problem, if i'm an utter fool who cant do a simple search, shoot me.
anyways my problem is as follows: on every rom that i've used since i rooted my xe, the volume in my beats earphones keep increasing when i get an sms or a notification of some sort. the thing that broke the camels back was when the music player stops each time i get a "whatsap" msg. i tried "silent" mode and the damn thing keeps shutting music. WTF!?! whats more bothering me is the volume increase and the slow decrease of volume and overall quality. is it rom related? is it normal behavior... is it me? im lost.
confirm this problem or give me something, anything, before i recycle this device....
thank you
Have you tried 'super wipe' in between ROMS?
And re-flashing firmware, preferably upgrading to a new firmware release...
Cheers, Jp
I wipe, superwipe and use the wipe option inside the aroma installers if theres such option. No good. Its always the same thing. Aosp, aokp, tripps os, insertoin... All of the above roms...
P.s. i am a flashaholic...

Almost the same problem for me here.
When listening to music with the headset any incoming notification raises the volume.
The problem first appeared (for me) with ARHD 6.6.0 XE Sebastian - no solution yet...

I got the problem too.. sense-o-maniac sense3.6... did super wipe still same problem.
bug with the sense player.
use a different player.
first Thread here, please be kind.
first of all, awesome website, awesome developers, and awesome ARHD roms.
i flashed my sensation with ARHD sensation XE rom and it has been nothing but awsome so far. however, as a audiophile myself, i cannot help but noticed something changed in the audio department.
with the default HTC audio player, the music became almost unlistenable without Beats enabled. the overwhelming amount of bass pretty much ruins everything. I don't recall this was the case before flashing the ARHD rom. and when i use 3rd party player (like Winamp) with no EQ change, the music is on par with using HTC audio player with Beats turned on.
so here is my theory:
1. HTC is really play dirty here by purposely making the musics sounds so bad that user has to enable the Beats audio on models that support Beats audio.
2. Sensation is not compatible with Senstion XE rom?
is this an isolated case? or are you guys all experiencing it?
Thanks
Never had that, flash again maybe?

i think i flashed a number of times and i have noticed this every time.
could you do test on your phone?
listen to a music file with HTC music player with beats off, and beast on.
and listen to the same file with a 3rd party player with flat eq setting.
since 3rd party player cannot trigger beats audio, it should sound just like HTC player with Beats disabled.
my problem is it sounded like HTC player with beats enabled, while the HTC player with beats disabled sounds like carp (granted my head phone cost as much as sensation itself so i might hear a bit more, but the difference should be very significant to spot with just regular earphones)
For ICS, HTC have modified the Beats algorithm (imho)
So now, beats enabled is as the player should be,
Beats disabled, has HTC crippling the sound to make Beats sound better than it is
I think.....
A very nice posting from my ARHD XE
Sorry but.... do you guys use piracy OLD version of power amp? New version of it has Beats Audio in EQ. Better just buy Power Amp and get an update with Beats Audio in EQ And on topic, I don`t have this issue. Maybe it`s related on headphones, as I`m using headphones from SE Xperia Arc S, but with some others headphones sound is really bad.
I don't use Beats anymore as it sucks out my battery.
Google Music has pretty nice sound, don't need more than that.
I've found that using dsp manager as well as beats audio gives the best sound.
