Some stuff I've seen that I thought would look cool as a bootanimation.

Really cool boot animation. Going to post a link to this in the desire z forum if thats ok?

Love it , can this be flashed like a normal zip package via recovery ?
Nice , if you could have the lighting actually burn the words Cyanogen 7 in the background then just electrify it ... would be even more impressive

Hello,
Here's a new boot animation, essentially a cross between the Nexus S and the SGSII boots.
Nothing hugely elaborate, but I was pleased with the end result.
Enjoy!

Looks pretty cool - subtle but stylish. Will be giving this a shot.
IMO, it'll look better without the text at the bottom..
Very nice!
Nice! I think the people above this post except you (Darkshado) are retired from XDA lol
Darn it!"You are limited to 8 thanks per day"
I'll come back tomorrow to click again
Hi,

Is dithering a matter of compression, or simply its a fixed-colors indexed format like gif?
The preview has dithering because its an animated GIF.
love it, nice boot ani
A boot animation using time lapse video from the International Space Station.
Instructions:
This is NOT a flashable zip.
Download the animation zip file.
Rename to "bootanimation.zip"
Place in /data/local/
Reboot, and don't blame me if you break something

I plan on making more of these. Nasa has a lot of neat videos up and they seem to be updating them frequently.
(Note: I've also re-sized this for the Galaxy Nexus and posted here)

This is super awesome. I might give it a try if some other people report success.
It's pretty cool. Thank you.
Only minor problem is it's a
tad bit short so i get about 10 to 15 black screen before my os boot.
I can always modify to make it loop
I thought I had set it to loop, but I guess not! I'll fix it and upload later today. It matches my bootup time exactly so I hadn't noticed yet. Thanks for letting me know.
I've updated the file linked in the original post with one that now loops properly.
Also I'm working on a second boot animation. I have it working on the galaxy nexus, but it isn't formatted yet for the transformer. Here's a preview:
Looks nice! Thanks.
Awesome

Should have searched first!
Here it is already uploaded -

Dropped it into Dan's CM rom and looks right at home.
Had to reboot twice to see how good it looked!

Well i flashed the zip on stock rom, it doesn't work. the stock rom doesn't have the bootanimation.zip method, as far as i know, so i think it still has to be ported to stock rom..

let me see . It may capable to make qmg format.

Here mate if you can't use boot.zip hope you can use this boot.qmg
Let's thank to @dankoman for the series of pict I used.
It is good but the image is not sharp, due to fact that the source png are only 280X280 Shame as the animation is nice. I hope a good designer can redraw them all in Full HD but that is a lot of work lol

Hi Guys
I had an idea and make it works, in a simple and elegant way. I created a logo bootloader thay perfectly matches the boot animation's Android M for Moto X 2013.
I took to make a flasheable file .zip with the logo, boot animation and erase the boot animation which is usually in /data/local/moodle

I have been trying to change it but for some reason it isn't. I even used bootanimation app to change it but in vain.
There's a file called bootanimation.zip in /data/local/moodle in the root. Should I remove it and try again.
Sweet work. Just loved this animation and logo.
But i guess there should be something more in animation. Because it repeats several times. So if there will be any new element. It will be much more cooler than before.
And i am ready to test if you want.
