Help Play Store Buying to my ATT Account - Samsung Infuse 4G

Hello, I've been using the Infuse ever since it launched in May and I love it. However, when I try to purchase a game or app, it says failure, please sign into your Google Wallet Account. I do know that Google Wallet only works with the Nexus S and Galaxy Nexus. Is there any alternative that does not require me having to put my credit info in and still be able to buy games?

@OP: Oops about that thanks.
Try using virtual credit card. Many banks allow for this. I have a virtual card with $100 limit and it works great and there is no need to divulge the real card info.

Its a problem with your card. Sign in on a computer and fix it.
I got a new debit card and was getting same thing. I signed in and realized I entered the date wrong.

No but I don't want to put my card in. It gave me an ability to bill to my ATT but that doesn't work. I might try the Vritual Credit Card diablo mentioned.

How to get Launcherpro plus free?

Hi everyone, i really like the launcherpro app and i want to get the paid version. However, I'm only a student, thus i don't have a credit card/paypal account. Can anyone help me with it? Thanks a million!

Well, there's warez, but that's not allowed here on XDA. Sorry.
Rockin' DJ05, Minimal Icognito, Clocked at 1.3Ghz
im not one to condone piracy, but google will help you........
there's free alternatives to the widgets you get on LP plus. Colorize Widgets, agenda widget, big faces. the only thing you'd be missing is resizing widgets..
don't steal apps
Agreed.
Don't steal.
Developers will just stop developing and then we'll all have to switch to iPhones........ *shudder*

Sorry, but that's a lame excuse. My 15 year old son has a debit card (and sometimes buys apps). If nothing else (and there are tons of ways to get a debit card), you could get a gift card and use it to buy apps. If you feel you must steal apps that cost less than $10, then you have more problems than just not having a credit card.
My $0.02.
Stupid thread is stupid.

I disagree. The LP dev is stupid to only allow paypal payments. I would have purchased it a long time ago if it wasn't paypal only.
I am NOT supporting warez here. Just my $.02 on the paypal only thing. I believe LPP would be used more if it didn't require paypal. At the point that a dev is circumventing the market, whats the market for?

whoa whoa whoa.. speaking out of turn here. Not all devs live in places where they are allowed to use google checkout, or to put paid apps in the market.
Don't call the guy stupid just because of where he lives. His country (Uruguay if memory serves) makes it impossible for him to use the market for a paid app. Paypal is his only viable option.
And pirating any apps is completely pathetic, but of course, it will happen. I wish I didn't see it in forums and threads on sites where developers and consumers so regularly go to support android. But, stupidity will be stupidity...
Furthermore, I'm a little confused by the way the author gets apps from the market. you can't bill to carrier, you have to use a credit card (unless you're on ATT, and even then, a month ago you couldn't). Does your mom buy all your apps? If that's the case, they why can't she buy you this one?
With T-Mobile you can charge your account as well! To be honest OP pay for the app!!! Support the developer!! Borrow a friends card! But don't take the slimy way out and look for a free pass! What if the shoes was on the other foot??

I am aware of this info...you can get a Visa merchant account in ANY country as long as you have internet...which the dev obviously does...he has his own website...

Maybe the author doesn't normally buy paid stuff. I have been on Android for years, and I have only purchased ONE app. I have donated to a few devs that make roms, but I typically don't buy apps. I WAS going to purchase LPP, but once I found out I have to deal with paypal, I quit. It's not worth it for me to go through transferring money to paypal, (3 days) and then making a payment to LPP, only to wait until the paypal payment has been recieved (another day or two) just to get a $2.99 home replacement.

Visa. MasterCard. Go to just about any bank, grocery store, or variety store and purchase one. With PayPal, you don't even need a CC. Just open a checking account.
BTW - I agree paying with PayPal is not the best option. I had a bad experience with an app and I will never do that way again. However, I still will not steal the app.

Umm you don't have to actually pay with your PayPal account, they just do the processing, you can pay with whatever credit/debit card you want. I don't even have a PayPal account and I bought the app just fine using my debit card.
PayPal can be used, can't it? I think these developers work extremely hard and it's difficult, even being broke, to use their fantastic programs and not compensate them for their time and effort.
Think of the position you're in... if your valuable time and hard work went without reward and you got no return on your investment, you'd be upset as well. It's just a couple of bucks here and there. You can EASILY find these on Google but please, don't do it, man.
I'm all for warez when someone is just going to be used once or if I'm uncertain if I'm going to pay full price for something. But if something is honestly worth the money, even my cheap ass will buy it. This world is ****ty enough. Don't go ripping off developers.

A petition for Android Market gift cards

Hi. If your on this forum, that means you love Android as much as me. But I still don't like too many company's having my credit card details, and wish there was gift cards I could purchase from a normal shop to spend on the Market. So I set up a petition to try and get Google's attention.
www .ipetitions.com/petition/android-market-gift-cards/
Thank you!
For MOD - I apologise if this is not allowed, or is in the wrong place.
I don't think this would be that popular. If you can't trust google with your credit card, i don't think you could trust them with gift cards.
I also think you can trust goole with your credit card! But thow it would be great for people that do no own a credit card!
Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk
especially for kids like me with no credit cards, cant purchase anything
Is this only for US residents? I also could sign it although I am German but will this count?
Gifting apps would be nice too, I had to basically steal my girlfriends google account in order to "gift" her minecraft PE....
It will be great if I can to buy apps from market when I don't have any credit card.

[Q] developer account(google play) and prepaid cards

hi all, i've searched much but i ask here for a problem. i am making a cm9 theme, and my idea was to publish here on xda the apk and to make a donate version on the google play. now i need to make the developer account. i have a maestro card that is not suported, so my idea was to make a prepaid mastercard card. with this i can surely pay the initial quote of 25 dollars for the account, but th question is: can i use the prepaid card for been paid if someone download my app? thanks in advance
I'm not a developer, but I don't think Google pays you by posting a credit to your credit card.

You got your answer and now you just make yourself sound like a young kid. Those are the rules, Google put them there for a reason, so either ask your parents or wait until you are 18.
You could try buying Google Play gift cards from a retail outlet. The cards may or may not work with the service in question, as I have no experience using Google Play music.
well that's a bummer wanted to try this also
Just wanted to mention that you can use a prepaid credit card available at most gas stations and truck stops to fulfill the "Credit Card" requirement. I have a Visa Vanilla Gift Card I got for my birthday with I think $25 (you buy it for like $26) that I used to avtivate my account. The nice part about this is even if Google were to start hitting you with secret fees, you're out $20-25 tops.

That won't work. They require a credit card not as a payment method but to prove your address (due to music rights being dependent on which country you are in).

Heres my question why don't they just ask you what country you live in? Or use you ip address. I don't understand why they force you to give them you credit card.

As Simon says, anyone could lie about what country they are in, and ip addresses are easy to fake using a proxy.

Google wallet has its uses.
Biggest thing I like about it is it really tells the retailer to bill through Google.
Useful for when people stole all that credit card information from target. Let's say you only used Google wallet at target. Then all the thieves would see is a Google account you used, not your actual credit card information.
As long as you trust Google with your credit card (which can also be debatable), then it is pretty safe. It's better to use in all instances because retailers never get a look at your credit card information.
