Hi all,
I have recently decided to put Android Revolution HD 4.1.13 on my Sensation 4G which currently has virtuous inquisition v4.0.2 flashed. I went to the link for revolution HD 4.1.13, downloaded the ROM and firmware, flashed firmware, then did a wipe and cache wipe and flashed the ROM. However, upon rebooting the phone, the phone just repeatedly shows the HTC logo, then goes black and restarts over and over.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this would be happening?
Thanks.
you're sure you went down to a gingerbread firmware?

Also make sure your hboot is 1.23, if u have 1.27 i dont think you can go down to ARHD GB, i could be wrong, but that is my understanding

If you are trying to install an ICS ROM, you need to update your firmware also, or you won't get past the beats screen.
i had the same problem and the above post is correct u must flash new firware before installing the rom otherwise it will hang on logo.
download latest firmware flash that first then install rom , i would also maybe use s wipe also after installing the firmware to give a nice fresh rom install.
I know I need to update my firmware first, but if I do that, I'm in a bootloop. That's even worse.
So, I've just installed this RUU: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1408961 with android 4.0.3 and HTC Sense 3.6. Where can I see my firmware now?
Settings then scroll to about phone its the very bottom option its in there software version and also hardware choose either one to see all info about phone.

Hi!
I came from ARHD 4.1.10. I installed the new firmware, you can pull the battery out after installation finishes or even when it boot loops. Then remove sd card, use a card reader to manually remove the img file. Put it back, Then boot to recovery, superwipe, flash new rom
Be careful using an old ARHD version, make sure to update your 4ext touch recovery to latest version afterwards

Thank you really much! So, I have firmware version 3.25 now, and for the roms I need 3.24. Can I install a rom with version 3.25?
Thanks!

Hi!
What custom ROM you want to install?
Latest 3.24 firmware package by mike1986 will work on current ARHD 6.2.1 and XE versions.

I'm not familiar with the current ARHD ROM versions.
I assume that you are trying to install a GB ROM but appear to have the ICS only Firmware.
Look in: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1459767
You can just flash the 3.12 (HBOOT 1.23.0000) or HBOOT 1.17.xxxx
Hey I have the same problem and I tried to downgrade and I couldn't, and I got an error msg saying wrong CID for the 1.17 and mine is a Sensation XE and I was using Virtuous ROM nquisition ROM, Please help me out, I want to go back to my Gingy and it keeps rebooting.
m using htc sensation tmobile 4g, my phone was running ics 4.0, i got my phone rooted then i tried to install a custom rom Android_Revolution_HD-Sensation_3.6.13.zip through clock work recovery. but after that when i reboot the phone it crashes after beats audio logo and the fone restarts again after that beats audio logo everytime. PLEASE HELP URGENTLY.ILL BE EXTREMELY GRATEFUL TO U ALL
Flash 4EXT recovery and flash ARHD again... If you have care to read the ARHD thread its said that 4EXT recovery is a must
For flashing 4EXT recovery..
Follow the post #2 of joaquinf #flash 3.33 firmware and ARHD rom" thread in sensation general section (its a sticky thread)

ARHD version is currently 6.7.2, were you trying to flash a GB based rom? I noticed you wrote ARHD 3.6.13. If so, you can not flash a GB rom on a ICS firmware, it will boot loop

Hi,
You cannot flash a GB ROM over an ICS ROM without changing the firmware
Try to flash the ICS ROM back on to see if it clears your bootloop.

Did you check MD5 sums, it could be a bad flash. Also how long has it been stuck for? Anything above 15 mins is a bad flash

It defaults everything to 1 value so you dont get the options - it doesnt use Aroma but uses an older and less elegant 4EXT interative menu solution. Defaulting some values could possibly cause bootloops
The problem was bad flashing, I checked md5 sum and they wasn't matching, so i downloaded again and installed it.
BTW Very good rom more then 7k on antutu benchmark, with vipers it was always less then 6.5k maybe it's becouse of faux kernel but it's great.
THANKS...
My dad asked me to root his HTC Sensation after seeing my HTC Sensation and all its rooted glory... Well his phone had a different HBOOT. Mine was 1.27.0000 and his was 1.28.something maybe 0000? Well anyways so my HTC Sensation was left S-ON and I just Enabled SmartFlash using 4Ext and mine booted fine. His however I did S-OFF and both our bootloaders are unlocked and both are rooted.
I tried installing a custom ROM (same on mine) and now his Sensation is in a bootloop... The custom ROM in question is Elegancia - Sense 4.1 v3.1.0
I feel like it might be because he was running Gingerbread (I believe) and I was running ICS. However he loved the custom ROM I was using so is there any way?

Since the previous ROM was Gingerbread, the firmware would have been the older one. Just update the firmware to the latest 3.33 and the bootloops should be gone (if not try reflashing ROM after firmware update). There is a guide as well for updating the firmware.
Check the thread of the custom ROM you tried to install, it should state which firmware needs to be installed for this ROM.

Hi,
If you want help, then, it is important that you post CORRECT information.
Otherwise you could be given wrong information which could lead to brick.
If he was running GB,then, his hboot would have been 1.18
If this is correct, then, post the COMPLETE hboot page,so that you can receive the correct guidance...
EDIT:
I notice you also have questions in the Help Thread.
Please keep your questions in ONE place.
