[Q] Rogers ONE X WIFI ISSUES - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Hi, i have a HTC ONE X running software number : 1.73.631.1, I couldn't connect to wifi, its says not in range. It only works if i get my phone near to router, other than that it disconnects. Please let me know if there is a fix for this. Also tried changing to static IP, didnt work either.
Is there any latest update available?

Although the fix I provided you with earlier works for many people, it's still a problem for others.
We will need to wait for Rogers to issue a firmware up-date. The International units have already had this up-date, so the one from Rogers should come soon, but I can't say for sure. In the meantime, we'll just have to put up with it unless someone modifies/improves the current fix. Not sure if that will happen, though.

[Q] Wifi not working

After installing Android Revolution, my wifi has suddenly stopped to work?
Does anyone else have this issue and is there a way to fix it?
Cheers.
I haven't personally flashed this ROM yet, but just check other sources of error first -- is this problem router related?
Of course I want to be helpful, but I saw this thread earlier this morning

Did you put your serial number in the box? I just put in my serial number and it told me that i don't need the fix
Look in the about phone section for your serial number
Even I tried it but I guess as desire s was in automatically update category, it will tell you don't need manual update.

well there could be many solutions, just a lot of them may not help
Is it only quattro causing problems?
Did you do a full wipe before switching to quattro?
Have you tried the wifi fix in the link?
Where to download?
Sounds interesting. How do I actually get that file to test it out? Webpage gives just the hint, that it was pushed already, but no download.
Help, please?
Thanks and best regards

you have probably recieved the update already, this update i think has to do with wifi passwords that can be accesed through third party apps.. i read about this issue somewhere recently, it has something to do with good old htc sense.

thanks man,
it seems that it's essential to root the device, I didn't try it before and I'm afraid to do something wrong and lose my mobile. if anything like that happened could I go back to a restore point or something like that???
I'm so sorry for any inconvenient, but that's what new people always do
thank you all

you can backup all your data and apps to your SD Card using one of the programs on the market. I use My Backup Pro. Once that's done, you can follow the steps to root your device. I think its very difficult to lose it because if anything, you can just put the file for your stock ROM on the SD Card, boot into bootloader and flash that or even try running the RUU to flash the original ROM for your device. Hope that helps

Don't worry the process is very simple. It took me about 20 minutes to use WiFi again

One S and Sure Signal

Have had One S a few weeks now and the servie is absolutely shocking compared to O2.
At home I have sure signal, which worked great with my Sensation but when got One S had nothing but trouble. Had to get new SS box and it works when it wants it seems, there is no rhyme or reason to why that i can work out.
I've tried a few things from the One X thread but nothing seems to work.
Anyone know how to help or having the same issues?
Thanks

Whats your current firmware? the 2.31 OTA update radio(flashable zip file in dev section) has improved signal reception on my phone. Added with the OC KERNEL in dev forum has worked wonders.

I'm not rooted, can I still use that?
I'm running 2.21 from a RUU (completely stock) on my one s and have zero issues with my sure signal. Not sure what to suggest, what version are you running currently?
Also, my sure signal was down over the weekend so it may have been vodafone's issue rather than yours.

[Q] How do you deal with echo bug in KitKat ROMs?

Hi guys,
I keep checking KitKat ROMs for months, but I always had the echo bug which means during a GSM call the other parties hear the echo of their voice which is a major inconvenience for me. I installed CM11, LiquidSmooth, MoKee, but they are all the same. Using a bluetooth headset is a workaround, but I can't use a headset all the time.
I read the forums and other people have this issue, too. How do you deal with it?
Do you know a way to get rid of it? Editing a config file for decreasing mic sensivity or get the echo cancellation working? Please share your experiences with me. Thank you.
same problem
I am facing same problem, ı could not find any solution. Does anyone has solution?
+1 same problem here (using slimkat)

Go for cm12
No mic issue
Thanks for your reply. I'll definitely check Lollipop based ROMs out when it reaches a more matured state. I need my phone is as stable as possible . It's important for me that not to meet any issues when making or receiving a call, so I'll just wait for the time being.

I used Cm12 lollipop version, i faced same problem as in kitkat.
Some people do not have this problem. What is the reason ? i read from the internet that echo problem depends on the country. When the guy move an another country the problem is no longer exists. do you think is it the true reason ?
I don't think so. Other guy in my country do not have echo problem with his Xperia L.
Also, I checked it with DE and CE 1.14, 1.17 stock firmwares as starting point, all the same.

unfortunetaly not, i will be very glad if you check it with another gsm provider.
I tried to choose another network manually, but I couldn't. Guess I need to borrow a SIM card and install the ROM. Well, it won't happen today I'm afraid.
Thank you for answer, you can try any time. I will try it if i have find time.
