Hey everyone,
I just got the Nexus S 4G last night, traded my Epic 4G Touch for it. Hardware wise, I guess I downgraded, but practicality and such - I'm a very happy camper.
GPS works great, fits like a glove in my hand, and I love that it's in a much newer condition lol.
Any way,
This phone came running on an ICS build. I'm not really sure which and it seems stable so far. I'm just curious, is there a more recent type of ROM/update I should run on or is it okay to just stay on this build here.
Any help is appreciated, thanks!

I'm sorry, but that was a bad trade to me.
oh well can't stress over a $200 loss.
if you want stable, then what you have may be stable. if its not crashing of course.
now what you have seems to be 2 months old. and to a lot of us. that's like a year.
I wont endorse any ROM because they havnt included a thanks in the OP mentioning me.
mine is still in develoment. its the best.

Lol, I didn't take a straight loss. I had guy put money on top to break even. But yea it seems stable so far, battery life is nice too.

Yeah I think he did but now there's the problem of trying to get the Nyan cat still so it doesn't distort the screen

Anyway, to the OP, I actually went the opposite way.. I traded my nexus s for a second e4gt, kinda regretting it.. You will love the ns4g, it gets the job done.

It's only a $25 gift card but anything helps and I would wait for Samsung phone, should be out next month if not September! If your still waiting I'll sell you my g2x

Sprint coverage sucks if I leave the Cities, but I really cant complain with unlimited mobile to mobile minutes, unlimited 4g data, and yearly upgrades for $52/mo

I would love to get my hands on the infuse, from what I've read its an amazingly well built phone with the power to back up the looks and I've been a huge samsung fan since the first galaxy phones came out. I definitely will have to get one for dev/personal use when my finances allow, and also the wife....lol

Lol yeah it is huge the icons on it are bigger than some of my widgets on my cappy and I've seen portable dvd players with less screen. It truly is a monster of a phone, but in a good way, not like the motorola bricks of the 80's that you had no hope of fitting in even a large coat pocket, they were some sturdy pieces of tech though I have one that I held onto that's been thrown, sat on, coffee spilled on, the list goes on and it still powers on and holds a charge and had 0 cracks anywhere on it, well the last time I had it out anyways, its been a lil while and after moving its hard to say.

it's based off of the leaked screenshots not official at all nor is it garbage
dam fine. a tad laggy for me but its bearable. especially since it looks awesome. didnt think i would like ics if it looked liked this but i starting to change my mind.
Works well, a little to basic for me. Personally I enjoy the options to fully customize. Does have great potential.

Has anyone tried this on Android Revolution 6.11 with Sense 3.0? If so, does it play nice?
I thought I would be leaving the mt4g when I got the galaxy nexus...as I will.
But still my stupid volume rockers stopped working.. I have insurance so so I called t mobile and they are expecting my mytouch 4g slide to arrive friday. :/

I've been really down on T-Mobile lately, but it's nice that they're replacing MT4G's with the 4G Slide now. I certainly have no need for a physical keyboard and wouldn't want the added bulk, but the slightly better performance specs are nice.
Are you claiming it on the insurance or is this an actual t-mobile store replacing it?

So, I have just acquired a new victim, an acquaintance's old Charge. It's pretty...shall we say...stressed? The chassis is quite beat up but the phone itself still works fine. I would much rather it go to someone else... but if no one else will take you up on it I would be interested. My son has been... well, less than friendly to the charge in its now-wifi-toy status and I find myself having issues maintaining the usb connection for odin/pc/anything as a result. I have been trying to odin back to ep4d for the last few hours... I THINK I got it now - made it farther than any time before anyway lol.
Anyhoo - I suppose consider me a default case if you are really interested...? As an alternative, you could always use it to try and tinker yourself... I don't know if you've noticed but there aren't too many cooks left in this kitchen
Well, considering I couldn't even understand how to compile kernel source, I don't think I'm the one to be tinkering...
Anyhow, I'll send it to any developer who's interested. My only request is that I get it back to me upon release of the Galaxy SIV, as I'll be selling all the devices I have to get some pocket change for college.

Well, this thread is open. Anyone who wants to try their hand, post in this thread and we'll take a vote. I talked to imnuts a couple of months ago about this (I knew I was going to get the device, just didn't know when) and he said he was too busy to do any dev work, through I don't know if that still holds true.
