Good evening sir I m tanmay gandotra currently using Nokia lumia 710
hardware rev 2.1 firmware 12070. First I have a locked bootloader I.e
Nokia dload so I flashed my phone using ncs and by Russian firmware
that u have provided. Now I have a unlocked bootloader I.e Qualcomm
cdma technology and I didn't format the disk. Now I m using the custom
rom fully-unlocked-os-new.nb by lucifier 3006 I m using Linux and the
command was dd if./os-new.nb of=/dev/sdX9. Now I have replaced
os-new.nb to full-unlocked-os-new.nb and my drive shown is sda6 while
running this command I get the error permission denied. Sir please tel
me the full guide to install custom rom on Nokia lumia 710. Which
directory I have to use while running this command in Linux please

Did you run dd as root? You're trying to write directly to the block device, which usually requires elevated permissions (you could check and see what permissions are on /dev/sda6 or whichever block device it is, if you want to).
make sure that no removable devices are connected to pc other than ur device
after u connected ur device in qualcomm mode, open terminal(ctrl+alt+t) and enter "sudo fdisk -l"...it shows all the devices connected to ur pc....check for the device with 9 partitions such as sdb1,sdb2,sdb3,....sdb9....nly our device has 9 partitions...then enter the code "dd if./os-new.nb of=/dev/sdX9"...X=b or c or other(the device with 9 partitions)...and one more thing, name the file to "os-new.nb" or u have to change file name in the code...if u still have doubts...PM me..

thanx for the reply sir, i followed the path as you told me. the command executed but only 512 kb coppied instead of 399 mb. now my phone is bricked .please help me to get my lumia 710 back in stead of bricked lumia which not at all responding. i tried ncs and nss but nothng worked... :'(
in ur post u said that ur drive is shown as sda6 which is not your device....ur device must show 9 partitions not 6...make sure u connect the phone in qualcom mode (power+vol [+])..
if u are quite sure that u have a qualcomm bl before dumping then u cant flash ur device using NCS...nly NSS can flash!!

try going to recovery if succeed then it's possible to change firmware.. there are two ways to do this:
1.Going Manually : Hold down the vol down key then press power... it will boot into recovery.. if not succeed do the second method:
2.download Android SDK or just the adb.exe executable then we are going to run it with command line so add the path to adb.exe like C:\Android_SDK\tools to your path variable then execute this in command line (cmd.exe):
1. adb devices (to see if your device is identified or no.. if your device is listed then go to step 2...)
2.adb reboot recovery (then your phone will boot into recovery.. if succeed you can change, if not then no)

6)connect ur mobile to ur pc then u will get message that

then
7)open run command and enter cmd
8) then u just enter fastboot
9)then u just enter fastboot erase recovery
if its successful then it will show successful message on command window
otherwise it will show waiting for device
if waiting for device message comes then u just install PDANET on ur pc here link http://junefabrics.com/android/download.php
after that it will definitely show successful message on both phone and ur pc command window
8)copy that uploaded recovery file and fastboot.exe file to the path what u getting on your command window
for example im getting
c:\user\mahesh so u copy in ur respective folder then enter the code as
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
then it show successful message on ur pc command window if then check where ur copied files correctly
then u enter code as
fastboot reboot
then u get success message then ur mobile go to recovery automatically
dude I have recovery but the sd card is empty... no flashable zip.. how can I transfer a file to sd ?? I don have a card reader...
P.S. flashed with kdz problem solved..
No u just copy that recovery file to respective folder of ur pc u don't require SD card for this..

On their website they have an updater tool which says to get it into recovery you must push power and volume button only there is no volume button.. only physical button is a power button and then there is a reset hole in the back of the tablet. http://www.easypix.eu/smartpad750_en.html

I found a question from someone who has broken their same model tablet which was rooted, so it is possible.
You can get the proper windows drivers and connect to it through ADB. Using this method you can push clockwork mod touch, and the touch interface should work fine. You might have to use ADB terminals for keypresses as it starts though, I'm not sure how you would boot into recovery without a rom. But once in a rom, you can always select the reboot into recovery option.
do you have any guide for this, Im more just interesting in rooting it to start with. I think I figured out how to get it into some sort of recovery mode but windows wont let me install the recovery mode drivers so I cant do anything

I just rooted it with unlockroot.com , It works for any tablet with the rockchip 2906 (Rk29).

It seems impossible for me, I installed the driver, now in the Windows device-manager you can find a "Class for rockusb devices" and there a "RK29 Device" but adb seems not fo find it.
While I see the device in my Windows device manager I pushed the Root-button from the unlockroot.com - tool, but after it tried to check via ADB there comes a popup "not detected any device ..."
Checking it with Ubuntu-Linux with the lsusb - command, this tablet has NO NAME, I can find the VendorID and the ModelID but after that, there is NOTHING , all other USB-Devices do have a name after its IDs, and trying to check via Davlik Debugging Monitor (ddms) you have to chose the name of your device,
but it is impossible to me, because I cannot chose NOTHING to use NOTHING with ADB ... has anybody an idea, how it may work, or has anybody a working ROM on his Easypix Smartpad EP750 which has root or at least a name ?
Maybe anybody has a working udev - entry for Linux ... pls post it here !!!

How did u manage to flash through windows? i have one of these tablets that was handed out with some ****ty program that has been installed by a medical company to give out to patients , with a load of information about certain medical conditions, a load of ****e basically, i want to flash the original rom in order to wipe this crap program from it to allow me to use it as a normal tab . I managed to install the driver but cannot get it into any form of recovery mode in order for the device to show in the flashing program . Any help appreciated

Steps.
1. Open The Tool
2. Connect Ur Cell Phone In Debugging Mode to PC
3. Install Drivers
4. Run Moborobo
5. Let it find your device
6. Now Select COM From Tool And click "READ IMEI"
7. If you found IMEI Fail or Connect Device In 30 Second Stop It And Change COM
8. When you find proper COM Just Put Your IMEI No Written On the Back of Your Phone And Click on "WRITE IMEI"
9. Wait for few seconds And its Done..
10.Reboot Device And Your IMEI Will be flashed
Note:- Before opening the Software Just Quit all the Android Emulator
And Unplug all the USB devices so that Finding COM will be easy...

you mean drivers of smartphone or other driver? because I have the drivers of my cellphone (Samsung Galaxy Young 2) (SM-G130M) installed on my PC (Windows 10 PRO x64) but i cant use the program "IMEI Writing Tool". The screen show me "Normal mode, the port has beed detected!" but when I click in read or try to change IMEI using "write" i get the following message Verifying for 20-30 seconds then, "NO RESPONDE!". I want to fix my IMEI because I can not make or receive calls the cellphone show me "not registered on the network". Can someone help me please please ? Sorry my bad english im no american. PEACE!

Cd/android is not a valid path in Windows. A path would be c:/downloads/android/.... Etc. Just as an example. Anyway, your issue is with using your command window in Windows... You need to learn how to do that to flash your device. If you are following a guide, Asking for help there would be best. I'm not sure what you are trying to do exactly, but I'm guessing unlocking your bootloader? So you need to use the change directory command to go to your fastboot folder on your computer, only then can you use fastboot.
If so, we need to know your desire model number to point you towards help .
