Absolutely NOT something that needs to be put in the Development forum. FYI, while this IS a MAJOR step for the development of this device, this would be a General Announcement, for the General Forum, since there is nothing actually being developed here.

i was just thinking and i decided to search... i found this!!!!! which means if this actually does work everyone who foolishly updated (me) can now s-off and unlock bootloader. i hope this solution helps. it was posted 3 days ago....
This had failed. Sorry for creating yet another usless thread
Let us know. Interesting that it says nothing about unlocking the bootloader through htcdev.

One of the various reasons why the "one-click" methods always look suspicious to me. It often ends up being "one-click root method for every phone . . . except HTCs".
But by all means, OP should try it, and let us know.

Actually, this makes perfect sense in theory as you use that to root. It says nothing about unlocking the bootloader.
Once you have root, you could then SuperCID and then unlock your bootloader.

Of course both the microwave and tire methods pale in comparison to the fire one, though that's just most commonly used for ridiculous overclocks. Remember: The bluer the flame the more it can cool for higher benchmarks.
