Selling Skyrocket, didn't wipe - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

I did a factory reset on my Skyrocket, all my pictures are still there along with other personal info on the internal SD card. What is the best way to destroy all of this date for resell?
Thanks!

Remove sim card, under settings > storage, select both format USB storage and format sdcard (if u have one) and then perform another factory reset

thanks for the replies! I was trying to get 350 for it but i think i am going to list it for 275. I got a Note and love it

How do I hard reset

I am new to android, am able to flash hack mod etc blah blah blah. In the coarse of all this tinkering, my file system is cluttered, and I want it gone, totally fresh. Clearing data in the recovery menu does nothing, factory reset in the phone does nothing.
Does anyone know how to hard reset this phone? The "Master Clear" option in odin3 does nothing, and I have yet to see someone who said it did something for them. I just want a pure stock sd card, can I open it in windows and just delete everything there? Thanks in advance, and I have searched for hours about this stupid thing.
You can format the sd card by going to settings > sd card and phone storage > scroll to internal sd > press unmount sd card > format sd card > then remount the sd card
You win at life, and thank you so much!

How do you format Int and Ext SD from Xoom itself?

Interesting problem after updating to an ICS build but I need to format my Xoom completely and start again from scratch.
Only problem is, unlike other android versions, there doesn't seem to be an option under storage to format either of the on-board SD locations. I've tried the factory reset option but storage is still showing all my files there.
The removable card isn't a problem, I just take it out, format it and re-insert but the internal isn't giving me an option to format at all as far as I can see.
Is there a hidden method of doing this or am I being a bit thick and missing the obvious?
Thanks in advance...........

I don't think they will let you format the internal SD, but I've found it strange that they don't let you format the external one...

Don't do it. If you form Sdcard from Xoom, you will destroy your Xoom...total brick. Sdcard is internal (hard drive, if you will) and if you format that you will delete all you system settings, bootloader, os, everything.
Just wipe your data and then flash a new rom, which will overwrite whatever you want to get rid of.
Indeed it's weird - any ideas about how to format the external SD card ?
I can't seem to find an option to format the external card from within the system.

Make sure you are running HC 3.2 or higher. Anything prior to 3.2 does not allow SDcard usage.
Format your external SDcard, in your phone first. Then with the Xoom OFF, place the formatted SDcard in the Xoom and power it up. (give it a few seconds to show up in storage on your setting menu.)
(I found that formatting it in the phone ensures proper function and a lot easier.)
As always; If this was helpful, give thanks!

Mjamocha, Hows that 64 GB sdxc micro SD card working out for you.
I ordered one last week on Amazon. Should arrive tomorrow.
Anybody? I really would love the option to start clean again, a wipe of the internal SD.
Would re locking and then unlocking the boot loader accomplish this?
You could do that, but only relock if you are completely stock, with the right files for your device. Or you can do a complete wipe in fastboot mode, but you'll have to search for the exact command.

Partition SD

I'm wanting to format my internal SD card and completely erase every single thing thats on it to start from scratch. I see in TWRP there is a section for partitioning SD. If I use this feature it should wipe my sd card and I can install a fresh rom right? What should I set the partion to? 2048? And use ext4?
I have a lot of junk on my sd that I no longer want and have been getting extremely annoying insufficient space errors when trying to install apps. I have a ton of space and am still getting errors. Just want to wipe it all, format the card correctly, and start over.
Please help I have tried seaching but nothing mentions TWRP or ext4.
Anyone? I don't have a personal PC right now as I'm building a new one, so I have to use my work comp. I have all of my info backed up at work and woud like to start restoring asap.
I am only here for another hour
Hey mate, there's no need to partition the SD card and format it for ext3 or ext4.
Just go into wipe and choose external sd card and that will wipe it for you.
Edit: You can also do it from within Android just go into settings > storage > erase phone storage

[Q] external sd question

I want to put a bunch of music on my external sd card, can someone tell me if the following procedures in CWM will leave the music intact?
For instance does:
Wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
wipe dalvik cache
under advanced:
format/system
I'm assuming that all the above will leave my external sd intact and not erase anything, is that correct?
My purpose is to ditch my 16gb ipod and put my music on my external sd (64gb) but I like updating my ROM every now and again, and I don't want to have to repeat this. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I know I can use google music to stream, which I do, but I want to be able to listen to all my music offline. Looking at tricking google music to use the external sd card instead of the internal seems out of my league and actually I tried it and wasn't successful at it so I don't really want to learn how unless someone has an easy way. I've read the theads on here and again it seems complicated and didn't work for me.
TIA
That is the correct way to clean flash a ROM and it will leave your external SD and even your internal SD fully intact.

Need help with mounting SD card of Nandroid update!

Hi there,
I rooted my phone today and installed CWM.
I then wanted to perform a nandroid back up, factory reset, then install a custom ROM.
However i've been having a problem that's been driving me crazy for the last couple of hours
When i try to backup with CWM to my external SD card it says
>Can't mount backup path.
So i go to mounts and storage, try to mount external_sd and it says
>Error mounting /external_sd!
And even when i try to format it it says the same thing!
What can i do? i completely formatted my SD card and it still won't work.
Also another question. It will back up to my internal SD, but then if i do a factory reset, will it not erase EVERYTHING on the internal storage, thus erasing my back up??? NEED HELP BEFORE I GO MAD!
If anyone has had this or seen this before i'd really appreciate some help! I'm running on a galaxy S3 which is such a common phone i'm surprised i've got any problems. The sd card is a sandisk 64gb.
hopefully someone can give me a hand!
thanks!
