wondering if we will see a rom eventually running new sense the videos of it are pretty not something id keep for my everyday rom but it looks fun to show off a little bit...

lost of good luck, haha... just curious if it is even possible cause if I remember a serious team of rom cookers/builders couldnt get sense ported to and samsung phone cause it is a totally different phon/ hardware/processor... its just not likely if I remember right. But serious good luck to you cause that would save me from getting the sensation.

I don't know about seeing a ROM with Sense 3.0 on my G2x but I can tell you right now. If I can't get a G2x that isn't so buggy I will be getting a HTC device with Sense 3.0. I have been through 4 G2x's in the past 2 days and all of them have serious bugs or defects.

where there is will there is a way lol
the more support I get the better chance there is
I assure lots of my time and work will go into this may not work fully but I want to play with it

Sleep of death. The screen goes completely black and wont wake up from stand by...no matter how many times I press the on/off bottom. So taking battery off fixes it, but it happens many times.

Yeah. I realized were on the brink of a whole other level of phones.
The gs3 will be worth the upgrade.
I'm definitely keeping the g2x over the sensation.
But I would have loved the gs2.
I don't see how anyone could rate the sensation over the g2x

Sensation with locked booloader - dead on arrival.
The G2X is actually running better on 2.2.2 with OC kernels than 2.3. Would have loved to seen 2.4 on one of these.

They barely announced this. Do you think they would scrap all their production to unlock the bootloaders? ... No
More than likely you will just see the key leaked earlier on the sensation.
HTC stated that future phones would be unlocked. At that time the sensation was in production already.

Yes the sensation will be unlocked. Well the keys given out.
But the sensation is clearly suffering from older tech. How does a 1ghz dual core in the g2x outperform a 1.2 ghz in the sensation?
Especially when the g2x is running foyo and the sensation is running gingerbread.
Has all these people who want to ditch the g2x even researched the 2?
The g2x is in fact the better phone.
They raised the price because the only thing your getting better on the sensation is the screen.
And thats debatable.

For those of you who don't know the sensation uses an arm a8 processor and the g2x uses a arm a9, even though the sensation is clocked higher it still doesn't match up to the g2x its like an i7 vs i5.

Same here, I remember thinking about getting the Sensation but then came along the G2x which is a beast. Second best phone coming out this year, have to give an edge to the GS II just because of the 4.3 inch SUPER AMOLED PLUS screen and it's dual core 1.2GHz processor that hits 3100+.........besides that both phones are just as good as each other. Oh and mind you the G2x isn't running GB yet which means those 2500-2800 quadrant scores should be around 3000 as well.

Yes the Thunderbolt is sturdy...until the kickstand peels.
The Evo 4G is sturdy...if you got the right screen.
Point is...HTC suffers from launch bugs and jitters like any other manufacturer.

I feel outdated

I have had this phone for only a few months and I love it, but I get jealous when i see the new dual core phones like the Hercules come out, because I know that my phone is now below average with only a 1700 quadrant score
first world problems, I know

Install gb with dsextons tweaks and ext4. I hit 2888 yesterday with no overclock and 3976 with 1.5 oc.

Don't feel outdated... I have a MT4G and whether I'm running Sense 3.0, CM7 or MIUI any app opens in 1/10 of a second. And I have yet to find a game that slows my phone down. And yours has even a better processor than mine.
So dual core isn't much of a jump from high end single cores.

Definitely. That alone doesn't make me jealous for a dual core. Switching between CM7, MIUI and Sense 3.0 ROM's keeps me entertained.

Yeah, I'm pleasantly surprised to see the support this phone got since barely anyone jumped on it.
While you guys don't have many devs, you definitely have some high quality ones.
Had couple chances to trade for this phone. Just couldn't do it end of the day. Maybe one day!

Its a great phone the screen does take up alot of juice though I get around 2-4 hours of screen on time right now I'm running cyanogenmod 7 alpha 10 (does not have an official build another downer) with Faux's latest 2.9 kernel. cpu clocked at 1700 mhz and gpu clocked above 300 mhz (every once in a while i check out trinity's kernel which also runs smooth too) its running damn smooth there is also alot of ice cream sandwich development but I'm waiting until the get everything working. If you like sense the have that too lol but in my opinion its the best phone right now on t mobile (the samsung galaxy s2 for t mobile has no roms as of right now). Easy to root using www.revolutionary.io you should definatly get it you wont turn back to anything else I'm in love with this phone as you can see

Everything is good just few small issues such as death grip and battery percentage doesnt always drop 1% by 1% like drops 5% at a time battery life seems good everything is like i wished it would be except front facing camera ;/

i just recently switch from the amaze to the sensation, and with all the roms to choose from, i could not be happier with it, only problem i've noticed is a squeaky back cover, similar to how my amaze was, but not as bad lol

Any ics spin offs don't have SoD's if not try dr4stic 's cm10 as he is the only fixing issue to the kernel and upstreaming them his cm10 might be the most stable rom jellybean wise

Tweaked 2.1 my daily driver. Big ups to Dwitherell, and really everyother dev in these forums without them i'd still have a stock bloated pos.

For myself CM 10 it is very stable I myself have had no SoD's and nothing major or no "bugs" that bother me. Dr4stic has done a great job and with new nightly's coming practically every night we might have a stable CM 10 very soon. Sum it up yes switchmy opinion lol.... and Erikmm is also very helpful in our little community.... just the truth people. Hope you make the right choice... what is he other option if you don't mind me asking? :highfive:

I'm actually getting the blaze today. On the mytouch I was just sticking with gingerbread cause jelly bean and even ics would have to many bugs or just not be quick and smooth enough to make the transition out of gingerbread worth it. I'm really hoping to at least find a smooth ics Rom on this phone with no bugs

If you want a stable cm10... well its right around the corner. Been testing 2 kernels for dr4stic, and both are rock solid. No sods NOTHING. Can't imagine it getting much better than this. You'll have a vast selection to choose from when you decide what's best for you. If you find something you like don't hesitate to hit thx or donate to any of these great devs. Let's keep this community strong by showing these devs how much their truly appreciated. Cheers to all

Well I rooted and flashed the tweaked ICS ROM and so far it doesn't seem like a huge improvement from the my touch 4g. Its a solid ROM just was expecting more from this phone being that its newer and on paper has a better processor

No worries. ICS is no JB that's for sure, and truth be told ALL the awesome options available to the Blaze should be tried out! That's the great thing about having such options - you can start choosing based on preferences as opposed to basic functionality. I'm a smali hack at best - I would consider the other tinkerers for the Blaze to be far more qualified of a "developer" title than I really - so folks should really make sure to test the various waters as you never know what you might be missing!

Smali hacking isn't easy lol. I've learned a lot from you dwitherell

Well single core to dual core, NFC, slightly larger screen, 4g 42mbps, larger capacity battery, and adreno 220 are things that I would consider better. At my dad's house near Minneapolis I can pull 20+mpbs on 4g...
But at the end of the day, you still are running android and that's not going to change much... and if you liked sense than you will likely not like TW. No guarantee that you also wouldn't like aosp either (my wife doesn't - she prefers sense). My wife has a sensation 4g and I see a major difference between her phone and my blaze. I prefer the blaze, because of those features listed (and access to the sd card without having to dissemble the phone to get to it) and I prefer TW (using TW5 launcher) to any sense rom. Sense just seems bloated to me and the Blaze just seems to be more responsive.
But hey, they're just phones and everyone is entitled to their own opinions and can like whatever they choose to like

No guarantee that you also wouldn't like aosp either (my wife doesn't - she prefers sense). My wife has a sensation 4g and I see a major difference between her phone and my blaze. I prefer the blaze, because of those features listed (and access to the sd card without having to dissemble the phone to get to it) and I prefer TW (using TW5 launcher) to any sense rom. Sense just seems bloated to me and the Blaze just seems to be more responsive.
But hey, they're just phones and everyone is entitled to their own opinions and can like whatever they choose to like

I'm actually running CM7 on my Mytouch 4G. I agree with you on sense feeling bloated. As far as the screen size, when I put the phones next to each other you really can't notice an increase in size.
