which of htc devices has proximity sensor and does the hd has it
I think I already answered this question in your previous thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=3979784
I think that the only HTC device with proximity sensor is the TouchPro2.
Hi, I've just bought the HTC Touch2 so I'm 'novice in this. In some specifications there is written Touch2 should have G-sensor and Light sensor, but I can't get going any application for it and also I have no GSensorSDK.dll or the dll for Light sensor in the device. What's the problem in this thing? Do Touch2 have the sensors or not?
I also bought a Mega and I'm pretty sure that it's not equipped with a GSensor and light sensor.
Hey I was just wondering if it is possible to gain the same function as the iPad 2 has with its proximity sensor with our gtablets since we have a light sensor?
I'm not sure if it has already been asked before or if the devs are working on something similar but to me it would just make our already amazing tablet even greater
I'm not 100% sure, but I think a proximity sensor requires both a transmitter and a receiver. I assume IR.
I think iphone & ipad use light sensor to make a trick on the proximity sensor, if the light get completly darken it will assum that the device is close to a hard surface, ie: the face in the case of the iphone, so i assume that it will be posible to do so with a little software trick ... btw, anyone know which ROM take the advantage of this light sensor setting in use? don't see it on Vegan ..

At the top of the phone there are two sensors.
The first is the proximity sensor.
Which kind of sensor is the second one?
Thanks
Maybe I'm just stupid but can anyone tell me how does the OP7 Pro senses light for the adaptive brightness? Since there's no notch or space for light sensor on top due to display, how does it work?

I'm pretty sure (maybe...lol I know it's at least the proximity sensor) this is the light sensor and the proximity sensor all in one.

Light Sensor is under the screen, proximity sensor is built in the speaker
