Hi,
I have a problem to connect my developping platform, which is STE_U8500 STEricsson platform, in order to install an apk file using adb. Seems like the android_winusb is not sufficient to do this. I'm confused, is there an alternative so that computer recognize my STE_U8500 as an adb interface?
thnks

Hello guys, I just got a G1 and wanted to activate my G1 without the broadband I installed the ADB on my PC (running XP Pro SP3) and it says that it doesn't found the phone. When I connected the first time windows looked for the driver so I don't know if this is the problem and I need to reinstall driver.
Thanks for your help!
You should install the driver yourself, teh driver that windows uses is to use it as a USB mass storage device. I'll see if I can find the driver you might wanna search around before people here get really mad that you didn't search.
here's the driver http://dl.google.com/android/android_usb_windows.zip You might also wanna check is USB Debugging is enabled.
Hi thelamacmdr, thanks a lot for you help, I dowloaded and installed but it's not working, checked on computer management - device manager and the installed driver is Android Sooner ADB testing interface but has a yellow ! and it seems not to work. Any ideas?
I think I've seen a standalone zip of ADB for Windows, but can no longer find that link. Does anyone have standalone versions for Windows and for Linux? I'd like to keep copies on my Hero for easy access!

I'm getting a device not found error using this. Do I need to have the whole works (Java SDK, Android SDK) to use adb?
Edit: Or I could stop wasting your time by being dumb, and just download the usb drivers for my phone. My bad. Stand alone ADB works great; Thanks!

Hi,
I have a Yarvik Tab250 and I want to modify the build.prop so i can install any app I'd like to. I've found the info i need to do here:
w w w.hembrow.eu/personal/yarviktab250.html
But I can't get ADB to list my device, my device is on, and debugging is turned on, and it can't list it under "adb devices". I know on linux you have to make a specific folder or something like that, do you have to do anything special in Windows? I only really have access to Windows, and limited linux knowledge.
As mentioned above, Also, if anyone can help with flashing a working play market on my tablet, i'd very much appreciate it!
Thanks!
You need to have the android SDK installed properly on Windows. The path stamemt must be correct for ADB to function properly.

adb is an application that is part of android SDk and can be run from the command prompt in Windows. There is a windows application Android Commander that uses a gui to issue adb commands, it is very powerful program and I recomend it. you will be able to use it to pull the build.prop file edit it with a text.editor and push it back to the Phone. It can connect to the phone by wifi or with the usb cable. Of course android bebugging must be enabled on the phone. you can find it here. http://androidcommander.com/
I hope this helps.

Hi all.
I have installed MyMobiler on my PC (Win7 x64) and followed the instrusctions on this website. http://mymobiler.com/android-setup-start.html
But i cant connect with USB! The device manager shows a conflict icon with the one.
USB Debugging is turned on.
Can enyone help me with that? I would likely use my phone over the PC.
You probably have an incorrect ADB driver installed, try manually selecting the Google/Nexus driver.

i solved it like here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2782721

Hi everyone. So I am trying to root my S6 and I wanted to be able to install a fix via ADB. I downloaded the drivers through the Andriod SDK and managed to turn on the interface but I did not have any luck in getting my computer to recognize my device VIA ADB? Is there a fix for this that any of you can direct me to?
