Test New Rom Now . . . . . . . . . .
Thanks man!
Hi, The ROM looks very nice.
I have a 32a with new radio and I'm having 2 problems:
1. Market can't install anything (error 921)
2. Google talk can't authenticate.
looks like both related to the Data2Ext.
I'll try to install the old radio an c how it goes.
EDIT: OR seems to work ok.

Ok, first impression: it looks really good. Everything seems to install just fine, no FCs or anything yet. I tried to run Quadrant, but somehow it didn't show the videos. Framerate and everything was running, just no images. First score was 1164, but that doesn't say much of course. Will give it some more testing, but so far it looks really smooth and stable...

Fixed already in 0.2 thanks to cyanogen.
Just tried 0.2 beta but it gave me an error while writing BOOT. So I just tried Oxygen test 4 which worked fine.
Maybe just me (I have a psf recovery image installed currently)

Oxygen test4 didnt work either (didnt show the proper console print out so I thought it did) through that recovery so I flashed RA-desire and it worked first time. Must be a duff recovery.
Just booted into Ginger Villian now.
Downloading now to get ride of that ultimate droid crap. thanks for your work.
Wow, thanks! Working great atm.
IMHO slower, than Oxygen b4.
But - Wi-Fi (hidden SSID, WPA2) works!

One thing to note is that Oxygen comes with a fast kernel out of the box. Use the Villian Setup to install a faster kernel.
can we port the gingerbread sreen on/off animation to android 2.2 from gingerbread's framework?
thx richard for your rom!
you probably already know:
network location doesn't work
This rom is not longer supported. See my new thread if you are interested in the mod
Why another ROM?
- No special reason. I was sticking to MDJ's v1.4 CM7 build but it was stuck for more than a month. So I took the latest CM7 nighty stable enough for me, added my default extras and share it for you.
- CM7 nighties are missing some very popular features, like Lord Clockan's kernel by default, Miui Camera, gapps with camera support, etc. Consider this ROM a little time saver for you.
- This is my first ROM, and I wanted to learn in the process of making one.
I'm happy with CM7, and I can flash the extras myself, should I try your ROM?
At this moment this ROM provides only a standard CM7 nightly with some extras preinstalled and some tweaks at boot. If you are happy with your CM7 and flashing the kernel yourself, then stick with it! This ROM is only a timesaver for those installing for the first time.
You can also get some other night build or CM variant, and apply alternative AlienMod over it to get almost all the tweaks

RIL: Default for newest CM7 (2.2.018G, Mar 24 2011)
I do not recommend to change RIL. Yes, I know G-RILs aren't listed on official radio thread, but HM aren't supposed to AOSP ROMs... Believe this is what you need.
Recommended radio: None! CM7 team recommends 26.04.02.17 but I'm using 26.09.04.11 with great results. So test yourself.
Battery draining: None! at least with the default apps. 3-4 ma on standby
Thanks to:
- CM7 team
- Lord Clockan
- Paradoxx for black keyboard
- All the authors of the included apk's
- eyesonlybob (for the boot animation)
- LadyOfHats for the emoticons
- H.R.Giger
- Testers!!!
- Donators
- ... lots of people from xda-developers
Instructions:
- Nandroid backup!!!
- Coming from other ROM / CM flavor? Full Wipe using ext4 (recommended, use Full Wipe v1.5 Ext4) or at least format /system + /cache + clean dalvik cache with an ext4 capable recovery.
- Coming from v1.x ? No need to full wipe.
- Flash with ClockworkMod (better with v3.0.2.8 ext4).
- Wait until "Done!"
- Use Advanced -> FIX PERMISSIONS Just in case...
- Reboot!
- Mandatory: Go to settings -> CyanogenMod Settings -> Performance -> CPU Settings -> Max CPU frequency and tune your maximum value
Further steps / recommended extras (work in progress):
- Change number of rows from 4 -> 6 on ADW Settings.
- Boot sounds, backgrounds, AM Splash, etc on AM Public Folder
- If the already included killersloth's PUV script doesn't work for you, grab some other UV script from lordmodue's thread
- If you are in a country where navigation doesn't work within the included Google Maps v5.7.0, you can flash this addon with a "hacked" version of v5.6.0 (not tested).
- Problems getting a GPS fix? Try AngelDeath's instant fix

Hi would be nice to see some screenshots
Detailed command line scripts included
These are included for reference, they are not needed because there should be entries for GScriptLite
PUV/UNPUV scripts
To get some more battery savings there's a custom puv script (thx to killersloth) included. Works for me and lots of people, but could hang your phone. Just launch Terminal.apk and run:
Code:
su
puv
To remove the undervolting run:
Code:
su
unpuv
* If your phone is hanging then grab this "remove uv" script and flash from recovery.
Custom bootsounds
- Scripts from amazinglarry311, see his thread
- Terminal commands to change / test your own bootsound:
Code:
bootsound - plays current bootsound *required for bootsound to work
enablebootsound - enables bootsound if recovery script fails
bootsoundon - turns bootsound on after being turned off
bootsoundoff - turns bootsound off
newbootsound - /sdcard/android_audio.mp3 is copied as new bootsound
newbootanim /sdcard/bootnanimation.zip is copied as new boot animation
AdBlock management from terminal:
Code:
adblockon - enables custom adblock /etc/hosts file
adblockoff - disables custom adblock /etc/hosts file reverting to default
adblockupd - upgrades /etc/hosts with new entries

I have the same problem. I have the ClockworkMod Recovery 3.2.0.0, make a full wipe (whit full wipe 1.4), also tried a manual full wipe, but it also stucks at HTC logo.
I'm sorry that my first post is to say this.
Thanks in advance.

Do manual format from within CWM of /system to ext4, that's my usual way of installing
Takes a while to boot anyway

I'm planning (if it's get some acceptance) to release only tested releases, on a monthly basis. This is my first release, so expect some bugs.
However this one is much more stable than the last 10 cm7 nightbuilds, at least for me.

[COLOR="Red"][B]Build 3[/B][/COLOR][/SIZE]
This release of the rom contains a ramdisk that will scan ext(4,3,2)
filesystems prior to mounting. Repairs are done automatically as
needed so if your filesystems are clean, you shouldn't notice anything
different. If they are corrupt it may take a little longer to boot.
Precautions:
We are asking (insisting) that everyone flashing this version of the
rom do a clean install.
Factory Reset must be run through recovery. The installer is not
capable of unmounting the cache partition that recovery mounts.
The Option inside the installer for clearing Data will reformat
the data partition only. In the future it will clear all the data
that the Factory reset option in recovery does, but for now it is
limited.
We are insisting that Factory Reset be used because it's an almost
guarantee that /data, /cache and perhaps /system are corrupt.
Journals only repair certain types of fs corruption and android
doesn't use fsck to repair filesystems. So overtime, especially
with the use of overclocking and undervolting and unsupported versions
of android, these writeable filesystems get corrupt.
Repairing such corrupted filesystems will yield completely unknown
results as far as files that get cleared or duplicated.
In the future however, you should be able to rely on dirty installs
much more, as those filesystems will not get more and more corrupt
overtime. You should also notice that long term use will not
result in increasing instability.
You can verify that filesystems are being repaired prior to mounting
by checking dmesg via adb or in Terminal. You should not see any
messages about the journal recovering the filesystems when they
are mounted. But more importantly you'll notice things are way
more stable (at least in the force close and random crash department)
Short version:
Boot into recovery.

EAGLESBLOOD™ ROM INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS:
=======================================
**IMPORTANT** - MUST READ CAREFULLY AND FOLLOW COMPLETELY
1. Make a full backup of your current ROM. Then copy it over to PC if you wish.
2. Reboot into ClockworkMod Recovery (CWM). *Note* You should always flash CWM using a USB Cable and NVflash; do not 'flash CWM from the ROM Manager app'.
3. To begin start by clicking "Wipe User Data/Factory Reset", this will wipe all data off of the phone's memory (not SD card though).
4. Now click "Wipe cache partition".
5. Then go down to "Advanced > Wipe Dalvik cache".
6. Choose Install zip from "External SD Card". Wait for that to complete and confirm you see an "Installation Complete" message.
7. Now, you must flash the correct Google Apps - GApps ICS (gapps-20120212-ics.zip) ...link below.
Once the gapps are installed you can now click "Reboot System". Failing to complete all of these instructions precisely can potentially leave you stuck in CWM Recovery until you manage to build your way back out. This is not fun, trust us.
9. Done. Enjoy your new ROM!

About to start downloading now. I am excited because this is my first ICS ROM. I wanted to wait until it was a little more stable first and now I think I am ready. Thanks Don and the rest of EB team. I hope Hell doesn't find out I am cheating on him(j/k)
What's the difference between this aosp and you're other ics rom?

HOW TO FLASH EVERY ROM, INCLUDED THIS ONE
4ext touch/classic recovery is HIGHLY recommended
-put the zip in your sd card
-reboot into recovery
-run a format system, format data, format cache (*you can use "wipe'em all" features aka "format all partitions (except sd card)" which is the same but faster)
-run a wipe data factory reset (to be sure your partitions are properly mounted for the flash)
-flash the rom
-reboot
This is the best you can do, don't let a flashable zip do this work for you, your hands and your mind are the most powerful tool you own
RCMixDroid V 2.2 update

-added EQS
-added app installer*

-removed otacerts and updater.apk in order to avoid official updates
-replaced EGL files due to instagram, should work now
-fixed Tmous support*
-more clean up to the base* here you can find an explanation about the RAM+SD Cache size hack, tester report the hack as fully working
*please 4g user try a flash with usual tmous option and tell me if systemUI crash persist
* App installer works this way: the app is able to detect your sd card, and find any apk you put in, both in sd root and folder (whatever), so every apk being detected and the app give you the opportunity to choose what apps install, both on the very first installation wizard, and after the installation, so just make a folder with your favourite apps and follow the instruction.
Creditthanks @baadnewz for the very clean base

Standards touch calibration values are derived from empirical measurements to fit standars; Calibration values for pyramid are derived from personal work on physical measurements with a raw width field of 1 unit corresponding physically to 17mm of linear size.
To grant a more userfriendly touch experiance i changed the normal pressure scale values. The purpose is to generate a valid touch signal also on a light touch. The result is the perception of a lighter and soft touch in the general phone use.

AOSP cyanogen mod source? LOL.... so it's AOSP or CM based? I have trying amarulls sdext to my dream, and i think will not using it again.... it's still alpha release and not updated, set sdcard speed to 8192, i think the best speed is 2048, but when i trying to edit the speed on script, it's make my dream bootloop.

cant wait to try it out, but yes change it to cyanogen release... not aosp/cm for those are almost as contradicting as aosp/sense

Not at all.
You can easily inherit code from other distros and combine them. Look around. There's AOSP+CM+AOKP roms everywhere. AOSP and Sense are contradictive because Sense is not open sourced whereas CM, AOKP, etc. are. However, usually with the combination of multiple distros, one of the distros is used as a base. Such as an AOSP base with CM drivers and AOKP features.
When is "soon"? ( i'm about to re-flash my phone cuz FBL killed it... Do i reflash it now? )
Lol nice to meet ya xD
And you may as well call it aosp with extras xD to be honest cm7 is just aosp with extra additions and aokp is cm7 with more features so its aosp with more features so u may as well call all roms based on aosp and that have cm7 or aokp features as AOSP+ lol keep the naming to Google's scheme why I added the + there xD
fair enough, maybe aosp/sense is a bit more of a stretch but as the dev changed it to cm the point got across.
aosp=vanilla but im not going to argue this because everything has different connotations to different people, enough said
and to croniccorey - ill be one of the first to try out your rom, looks very promising!
More roms! The g1 lives! Good luck. I recently got my girlfriend an account here, so ill show her this as soon as the download link is up. (she's currently on my cm7 build posted on dw9906's thread)
If you need any help with the rom, or need a box to build on, I'd be happy to help. Or you could talk to infinimint and his team. They are skilled. (If infinimint reads this, I'm wanting to join your team)
i am finishing it up currently it will be here tomorrow cheers
ok links are up for the dream rom magic/mytouch3g thread next lol
cheers

no not that different just make sure you wipe everthing and if you are gonna use data2ext wipe your sd-ext or you could just run a superwipe zip
