It's been a long time since I ran reloaded. Also Whyzor is no longer doing updates as he moved back to the Optimus. You may want to check out CM7 g60 style. Whyzor handed the keys to me to continue developing CM7. So far I have fixed the annoying sound issue when your listening to music and the sound decreases, also the proximity sensor has also been fixed so when you move the phone from your head the screen now turns on. Also just tested and the softkeys and they are lit.

Ill download as soon as I can.
Can I advance restore data from cm7 to ur rom?

For sure. Just wipe cache, and dalvik cache and install the new ROM.

Phone turns off when I try to unlock?

I'm running GingerBeast right now and everyone once in a while(once or twice a day, some days it won't happen) when I hit the power button to get to the unlock screen, I'll see the softkeys light up for a second and then my phone turns off. I have to hit the power button again for my phone to boot up. I was using CM7 before I changed to GingerBeast and the same thing was happening. I've also tried different radios with and there was no difference.
Could this be a bad root? Should I delete everything and try again or what?

Wont help I get the same thing sometimes. Its weird, I think its a sequence that causes It. I noticed the last two times I was walking and holding it and swinging my arms. It vibrates sometimes when I do this and if I hit the wake button right after its reboots.

Have you tried any other ROMs before?
this happens to me sometimes on MIUI
Did any of u restore any system data or any apps + data using TiBu after u flashed whatever ROM u r using?
I would recommend flashing ROM CLEAN from scratch, and not restoring ANY info using TiBu, and using it for a day and see if the issue resurfaces.
yes diablo has a good point. Also, what is your setcpu set to on boot? This could cause instability if you clock high on boot.

I've noticed it almost never happens when I'm just sitting at home. I think it usually happens after I pull it out of my pocket and hit the wake button
this happened to me when i had a lockscreen widget installed i uninstalled and its fine now. dont know if your using a lockscreen widget or not but thats what was screwing mine up

Screen freeze on wake

I recently flashed weapon g2x rom. Everything was cool til I woke my phone and tried unlocking it but the screen was unresponsive. I do a battery pull phone starts up up and screen is fine. Screen goes to sleep so I wake it up and try sliding to unlock but its unresponsive. Please help. BTW I am not putting any blame on weapon rom Dev team.

Did you properly wipe before you flashed the ROM? Is this happening on a clean install? (No apps)?
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
Followed the install instructions verbatim. BTW I was stock GB before flashing. Happened before I dloaded any apps. Now it freezes when making calls. When I take the phone away from mg ear the screen is unresponsive.

You might have a defective device. Does it tend to get hot whenever it locks up? How long have you had this issue for?
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
Flashed the rom 3 days ago and issue started today. Had this phone for 3 months. Doesn't get hot or even noticeably warm. I got the go locker app with ics lockscreen. After i wake it up its unresponsive for about 30 seconds then the backlight dims and becomes responsive again. Weird. Maybe restore back to froyo(nandroid)? Thanks for your replies.

Hey this may sound silly but if it's only the lockscreen not responding and you stating you are using the ics lockscreen, did you try with the default lockscreen to rule that out first?

Not silly at all. I tried the original lockscreen that came with weapon rom. I would wake the phone with no response but with go locker LS the screen responds after 30 seconds of unresponsiveness. Its weird but I don't think its a hardware issue. I'll post back after I restore back to Froyo. Thanks again guys
Sent from my LG-P999 using xda premium
Yeah i agree, don't think it's a hardware issue. Restoring back or trying another rom would be a good test. Another question..are you using setcpu or any other app with a screen off profile?
Edit: Went back to read all the symptoms again and i had a similar situation and it was because my phone could not handle the lower voltages on the min freq with a few kernels. Morfic upped the lower freq voltage on his kernel and it has been working perfectly since. Worth a try.
Try this one: ELPmax 20122011 (1.1GHz Battery Saver w/ voodoo sound)
Tried flashing kernel and phone froze on Trinity load screen. Restored to nandroid but no luck. Updated to stock GB but no luck. I'm starting to think might be a problem with proximity/ light sensor cause of how the phone freezes up after I pull the phone away from my face after a call. Guess I'll send it to Texas for warranty repair.
Thanks to those that tried helping.

Did you format the "system" before flashing the new rom? Weapon works with no issues for me. I would stay away from custom kernels for now, until you have isolated the issue.
I would suggest backing up your user apps using titanium backup and installing them one by one to find the issue. Let the phone run a while between installing each app. Maybe even reboot each time. Also try fix permissions.
I know nothing about Go Locker, but is sounds like that is a good place to start.

Thoughts on the ICS leak?

So for those of you that have ICS up and going on your skyrockets... What do you think so far?
I personally am seeing more responsiveness of my device. On GB it was a little sluggish and then I kinda got used to it, and now that I have ICS it's so much better. Apex Launcher is WOW on it.
My battery has lasted much, much longer too, and I've been doing tons of stuff on it this morning.
Can't wait for a rom based on stock ICS.
i like it but my home button wont work even after reodining and factory resetting any ideas

Working now...not sure what the issue was...
A couple notes
1. I can't figure out how to take a screenshot now.
2. What's the home button problem? Like...in an app and hit home and nothing happens? Or can't use the home button to enter into d/l mode to flash CWM?
I have the latter; I can't enter into d/l mode to flash CWM now.
Edit: Wait...I might have it now. D/l mode, that is.
Edit: N/m. That was stock recovery. Any ideas how to get into d/l mode so I can flash CWM?

The other thread pointed out that taking a screenshot on ICS is done by holding one of the volume buttons along with the power button. So it's change from the home button in GB to the volume button in ICS.

I have to use XpressConnect to connect to my work WiFi and when I d/l'd it, it was from Market and didn't stick. Then updated to Play, d/l'd again and everything is kosher.
Just having issues getting into D/l mode again to flash CWM.
Were any of you experiencing bluetooth connection problems? I am suffering from the well reported issue of intermittent bluetooth connections and drops.
Im curious/helpful that ICS may fix this issue...

Yeah, I read that on another forum as well but all it does is make my volume go up or down, depending on which volume button I hit. lol
Does it work for you?
Edit: NVM. Got it. Volume down + Power. A little finicky at first, it seems.
Power off and Restart from Device options menu are not working for me, they just hang and I have to pull battery. Otherwise everything else seems to be working.
Powering down phone freezes. And the market is constantly force closing. I have tried fixing permissions. Reflashing. Not in that order of course. Nothing is working for me.

[MOD] (Now working 100%) Volume Wake For SynergyRom, Beans Stock + Nosympathy [MOD]

I created a little mod for Synergy Rom and now Beans Stock Rom, and Nosympathy Rom . Its simple....You press the volume button, up or down, and it wakes the phone. I love this mod because it is a lot easier for me to just press the volume button to wake the phone rather than using the home button or power button when i am holding it in my hand.
1. Place on sdcard
2. Make a nandroid
3. Reboot Recovery
4. Flash zip
5. Reboot.
6. enjoy
If anyone else wants this mod that isn't on synergy rom but is on a deodexed rom, i will try and try and make it for you just post your android.policy.jar which is in system/framework folder.
Update: i figured out how to get this mod working 100% of the time, even when the phone is in deep sleep state. The link below is for Synergy 1.5, Beans Build6 and NoSympathyRom
Update #2 - seems to not want to work sometimes in deep sleep state, although it is working more often then initially

On my Nexus the volume rocker was use for the camera zoom and the power button was the shutter. It was pretty sweet. Thanks for the volume wake. I was missing this since I gave up the Nexus!
Can u make a mod that skips music tracks by holding the volume buttons while the screen is off? I will pay u. We have a bounty going for this mod.
My wife and I are both using Nosympathy's latest deodexed rom with the latest stock kernel and radio. I put the volume rocker mod on both of our phones and at first it seemed to work great. Then after using it a while, I noticed that sometimes, especially after the phone sits for a while, the volume rocker will not wake the phone on the first press. Sometime it will take 2 or 3 or maybe 5 or 10 presses. Once you wake the phone it seems to work fine for a while as long as you are frequently using it. Is anyone else having the same problem? I'm not using any power saving options. The only other mod I am using is the 15 toggles.

Nope. I have no power saving anything on my phone. The volume rocker wake used to work every time on the Verizon Nexus even with different kernels designed to sleep better for power savings. The S3 seems to wake if you tap the volume key several times quickly when it is being stubborn. I still love the mod but I hope it can be tweaked to be 100% reliable. Has anyone experianced this with other kernels or is it just the stock kernel?

It's the same way on Nosympathy. It works well if you have recently used your phone. It is hit and miss if it has sat for a while. It must have something to do with what stage of sleeping that the phone is into. Still better than nothing. I like it.

[Asked in Dev] Problem with JellyBelly Omega - keyboard and capacitive button lights

Not sure where to start. Flashed Omega, flashed the patch, booted and somewhere after that the lights went out.
I'm not afraid to go poking about, I just need to know where to look. I did reflash the rom but got the same results. Looked in this forum, but not sure exactly what to look for.

Re: Problem with JellyBelly Omega - keyboard and capacitive button lights not working
Ah, so I do. I wasn't sure if this was caused by any 3rd party app or setting and since the lights were on prior to my fiddling I can take a stab that it is self inflicted. So not really an issue with the rom I hope, but a mere mistake on mine. I'll hold off on posting to the dev thread for now as I'm not convinced it is an error out of the box.

Thanks for the guidance. I will give this a go tomorrow. For now, bed calls, as work is coming up faster than I would like. I'll update with my results.

My front lights ate weird also. I just toggle auto brightness and they work.

Taking all day... My office is in the depths of the building surrounded by servers, racks, plaster lathe, and more. Trying to connect my cell through on the unrestricted wifi is an exercise I don't have time to do while at work (Firewall is locked down tight, and my plate is full)... I'll just have to putter along at the 1x speed when it can use it. I'll get all my apps loaded, let it sit, verify buttons work, and then run the patch.
*Patiently twiddling fingers*
Problem happened after I flashed the zip patch. A few hours had passed, between ROM and Zip. I'm thinking this is somethin funny with the patch, or my specific device. I've dropped this topic into the dev thread as I no longer suspect any of my apps are doing it.
