Reverting to Stock Bootloader? - Acer Iconia A700 and A510

Does anyone know who to revert back to the stock bootloader? I am running Flexreaper and have TWS recovery installed. I was seeing if I could get back to stock from my Gen2 to get the Official ICS update.

You should be able to just flash the stock rom (014)..this should reset your bootloader back to pre-unlocked state

thanx
no luck. flashing stock rom revert only the recovery. I think we need a image too flash as in unlocking bootloader procedure

The Fastboot&Recovery.zip has a btl-a100.sh script, just run that and you should be good to go.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1557445&highlight=unlock

I would be very careful doing this. If your running an ICS build like Flex Reaper and you try to revert to the a100 bootloader like that you will more than likely end up with a bricked tablet. Just be cautious!
Flashing the stock. 014 Rom should take care of it, like cheeb said.

Didn't need the info but I thanked anyways, now I know if I need it.
Tapatalked from my Galaxy S II.

if you used zn's unblock procedure, it also came with a way to return it back to the locked. The scripts came with an a100 set and an a200 set. The a100 pushed the locked and a200 the unlocked bootloader. I've ran it back and forth a few times also after a factory reset. It worked seemlessly Hope this helps.

Be carreful do that bricked my A100
It"s very dangerous

Check the development section. There are plenty of threads on this. You will need to download a NANDROID of the 2.3.3 OTA, and restore to stock recovery using nVflash.
what is a nanadroid and where do I get it? I know how to use NvFlash...can you please provide some steps?
How did you even root? Lol
A NANDROID is a restore image, and nVflash is a program to flash recovery.

Ok...so can I get a Nandroid from NvFlash? I've used NvFlash..... BTW im using a rooted stock ROM from Xboarder...so how do I unroot it so I'll be able to send it back to T-Mobile and keep my warranty.
Follow this. let me know if you have issues.

Thanks SO much.....the video really helps. I haven't done it yet though because that has the 2.2 firmware. Is there a 2.3 stock nandroid recovery?
This is pretty close. Thanks to Jboxer...

You got it. Be sure to give Jboxer a thanks. The guy lives in Thailand is up to his ass in water from the floods. Not sure how he finds the time to do all the stuff he does.
Ok. I did it, and I don't see superuser anymore. Thanks. So this is all? I can receive OTA updates and send it in to T-Mobile?

Restored/unrooted to LG-P999-V10f, now I can't update to 2.3. What to do?

Hey guys,
Can't seem to find a solution to my problem. I restored my phone using LG-P999-V10f back to factory rom, unrooted my phone and now it's back to 2.2.2. I tried updating my phone, but it just tells me "Current version is the latest version."
One other annoying issue I've encountered is that when my display turns off either from inactivity or from pushing the power button once, I can't go back to the phone. Pushing the power button again just brings up a blank screen, which leads to me being forced to take out the battery and reboot.
Any idea what's going on here?
When I quit using my g2x as a daily phone I restored it back to stock and unrooted it also (was on weapon). Everyday I would check for the update and it always said current version is the latest. Basically what I'm saying is, just like the 1st time GB was rolled out ota, not everyone will receive the update.
I finally said screw it and flashed bionix reloaded 1.2.

Did you also restore the stock recovery? Without the stock recovery the OTA will not work. At least that is how I understand it.
If you want a better stock-like experience try the Weapon Rom.

Also depends on your carrier, some don't offer the OTA update.

Oh yeah thanks for pointing that out. I had restored stock recovery on mine.
I just wanted the newer baseband. But life shall go on. I suffer less phone frustration using my sgs4g as the everyday driver anyway.
just nvflash it back to 2.3.3. A lot easier but will wipe everything and make the phone entirely stock gb. Not sure if it changes baseband read through the thread and see.

Any chance you could point me to link to the file for it? Is it a "restoreable" version that looks completely factorylike? Planning to eBay this phone to the next owner.
Much appreciated.

Is that for 2.3?
ETA: NVM, it does. I'm going to give it a shot in a bit. Thanks!
Dumb question. How do I install the APX zip file in that guide???
ETA: Figured it out, didn't need to install it. Forgot that I'd already done it here.
Phone's now update to 2.3.3, stupid black screen of death that appears when I try to turn my screen on is gone!
One last question. Is 2.3.3 the most updated version of Gingerbread available? Is there a more updated version out there I should install to?
Once the baseband has been updated you can no longer use the LG Updater to update the rom as it checks the baseband. If the baseband is a later version then expected for the rom it will not update.
You need to flash CWM Recovery using NVFlash and then flash the ROM of your choice, whether it is a stock rom or a custom rom.

Problems with my factory reset

So I have Cyanogen Mod 9 on my phone at the moment, but I am trying to factory reset the phone. Using CWM I select the restore to factory setting option, however, when I restart CM9 is there on my phone. I tried going into the settings and doing it as well. Any idea on how to get back to stock ICS?
Do you mean stock ics unrooted then you have to unroot

[Q] FXZ from 4.2.2 CM 10.1 Flash to Stock 4.04 ICS At&t WHAT!?

I have installed the 4.2.2 CM 10.1 ROM on my Atrix 2 and need to return it to stock 4.04, I bought an S4
I can't for the life of me find anything concrete about flashing back to stock on the Atrix 2. A bunch of mumbo jumbo about "fxz" and "rsd" and "sbf"
Can someone please clear the air so I can get this phone safely back to stock??
EDIT: All I found is this video. . .

You do not need to patch the fxz, just load it into RSD and go. Just read the first link, it has all the need to know about flashing an fxz in it.

Darn, the same thing happened to me 2 days ago, a flash failure that is. If you're able to get into ap fastboot still then you can try again to achieve a successful flash. That's how you generally overcome flash failures which worked for me.

That almost definitely means you are using the wrong files. make sure you have the proper ones for your version of the A2. it must be the ICS one too, no way to get to GB if it is an ATT phone.
Problem is fixed. This issue was the battery was dying I had to MAcGyver style charge my battery

Yup, that's a classic! Glad it all works, and inn the future, never start something that could brick you without a full battery. This has screwed us all at some point.
Haha i will keep that in mind. Thanks
