Stuck on Asus screen after flashing official Asus rom - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, I had my tf101 rooted and had the cm9 nightly on it. I decided I wanted to go back to the official rom, at least until the official cm9 release.
I downloaded the US zip from the Asus website, extracted the zip and put it on the tf101. I went into CWM, wiped the dalvik, and cache and data, and installed the zip.
Now, it's stuck on the Asus screen with the spinning dots. I held down pwr and vol down, then vol up at the text, but i dont have cwm anymore, just the bugdroid with the red !
Is it bricked or is there a way to get it to boot again? I'm couldn't find any solutions that didn't have cwm. im letting the battery run down to see what happens. Thanks
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA

I would try to wipe data again

I can't. It doesn't have cwm anymore. I do the steps to get to recovery, but it just goes to the android laying down with the red warning '!' and i cant do anything, then it just reboots

If you have a SBKv1 board you should be able to use nvflash to put another ROM into you Transformer.

Do the same steps except DO NOT push Vol Up within 5 secs to get to recovery.
Let it get to the screen with Cold boot Linux or Wipe data.
Choose Wipe Data, see if that get it to boot up.

[Q] HELP

Hey everyone im trying to unroot my transformer.I instaleed repacked-8.2.3.13_US+root-CWR-update.zip.Rebooted it and then i shut it back down.I then booted into clockword mod and installed this recovery 8239usrecovery zip. After that i wiped cache, data and system.I rebooted and now im stuck on the eeepad asus boot screen. When i try to go into recovery i get the triangle. Is there anything i can do?Or did i brick my transformer by formatting the system? Please some one help.
never delete system as it is what has all of the stock apps and framework and library. So it will not boot. The stock firmware will NOT install if you do not have everything in system perfectly. If possible try to use NVFlash to get back to a stable rom if not i don't know if there is anything you can do.

Don't do **** if you don't know what you're doing or you don't have the full instructions in front of you...
What you've done is the following equivalent in any PC or laptop:
Start PC/Laptop with LiveCD/RescueCD
Format C: (or /dev/sda)
Try to start PC/Laptop
Start to ROFL!
You were supposed to flash the stock rom from asus before flashing the recovery.
Try downloading the rom from asus, unizziping it and placing it on your microSd card and see if theres a prompt to update the rom when you attempt to go into recovery.
Als you could try wiping it again.
Boot while holding the volume down button, When the text shows up don't press anything, wait and you'll get two images show up. Press volume down highlight select wipe cache, the volume up to confirm.
See if that works.
Thanks i will try that now.

TF101 B80 stuck on ASUS boot screen

My tablet recently froze when i was not able to turn off my wifi in the settings of my Revolution 3.1 ROM. I have tried to boot up since this and now it is stuck on the ASUS boot screen with the circle.
I am able to boot to cwm 3.2.0.1 and wipe data/flash the rom again, but no matter what I do, it is stuck on the same screen.
I recently tried doing a cold boot and a factory reset/wipe data in the recovery menu, but when i choose to wipe data, after it loads the recovery kernal image, all i get is the android triangle.
What else can I try?
I have the same problem with my TF101. Are you able to find a solution to your problem.

Maybe a problem in kernel or /system partition, try to flash the ROM again may fix the problem.

I have the same problem.....
I rooted, installed Rom Manager to get CWM Recovery installed and then flashed the new CyanogenMod 10 - B1 ♦ K.A.T. As soon as I restarted, after it appeared that the flash went fine, it hung at the boot screen - not frozen just wont go any further.
I tried rebooting by holding the power button, I tried re-flashing both the CY 10 and the original Rom and tried "restoring" my backed up rom.
I have tried recovering through Easy Flasher but I don't think my PC is seeing the transformer properly.
I have ADB drivers installed but because the TF dose not boot properly it dose not seem to get there.
I have let the battery drain as some report a resolve when they get it to power down all the way but as soon as I plug it in and power it up it goes back to the boot screen and stays there.
Please help as I cant afford to lose this pad (yes I knew the risks).

Have you guys tried wiping out before flashing? Wipe out the cache, system, and all other partitions.

[Q] Fix TF stuck on Asus boot screen?

Couple of days ago I opened up my TF and saw it was stuck on the bootup screen. Since then I have tried multiple times to format /system and do a factory restore in CWM and tried reflashing EOS JB and RaymanFX JB. Both times the TF boots so it shows the blue bar on boot sliding across to show it updated and then dies and reboots and gets stuck on the bootup screen. Is there a way to fix this?
And the loading screen I'm talking about is the one that says eee pad in cursive and "Powered by Nvidea Tegra" on the bottom.
Thanks.
did you flash kernal from RaymanFX
If you are ready flash kernal just go back CWR and selected "Boot recovery" in misc menu
waiting little bit long in the first time but it'll be login successful, it's my experience ^^
note: and flash google app too "gapp"

Isn't the kernel built into the ROM? I guess I will give that a try.
It is better to clean isntall.
Format /data etc.
then isntlal the rom
or download Super Wipe Full form ARHD: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1245892
good luck :]
Do not use super wipe...
Install twrp 2.2.1(recovery)
Use that recovery to wipe internal memory, cache, dalvik and everything else..
Now do a fresh installation of CM10 or eos jb... mind u cm10 gives better audio then eos and cm10 has kernel inbuilt which is better than eos kernel...

Basically wiped and formatted everything and downloading CM10 right now. Hopefully this will work.
Tablet has booted into CM and everything seems to be working again. Thanks guys!

Welcome to the forum!
Are you rooted, or are you still stock?
If you are rooted, what recovery are you running?
If you are stock, I would try flashing the latest (.27) firmware for your version (SKU). Download from the Asus support site, unzip it ONCE (it will still be a zip) and put that on a microSD formatted for FAT32. Then hold VOL DOWN and POWER until you see the small white text. Release both buttons and hit VOL UP to enter RCK (recovery) to trigger the flash of the stock firmware.

[Q] Stuck at CM10 boot screen. Can't recover.

Hi there, this evening I was on the forums, looking for an easy way to root my S3. I followed the steps exactly, and got it rooted. I then went to flash Cyanogen mod 10. I booted into recovery, wiped the cache, and installed the .zip and the gapps.zip. Well I rebooted it from CWM, and it just sits at the boot screen. I've turned it off and tried booting into recovery by holding both volume buttons and the power button, but it just boots up normally back to the CM10 screen. So, I cant seem to get it into recovery, or anything. Please lend me your knowledge.
Did you unlock the bootloader?

Recovery is volume up, power, and home. Just boot your phone up by holding all 3.
p.s. - if all you did was wipe cache before going from Stock (ICS) to CM10 (JB) - bad idea. You should always wipe cache, data and dalvik as well if you're going from ICS to JB or vice versa.
You should also format the system when changing base versions (4.0 to 4.1). Especially on aosp roms, and definitely when returning to tw. Most roms incorporate this, but it is evident that it does not always clean it out fully all the time. True clean install is factory data reset/cache/dalvik/format system.

I did unlock the boot loader. I used the EZ Unlock. But it said that status was unknown. I clicked unlock though and it said it unlocked the boot loader. And there was only one option when I was in CWM, to wipe the cache (it might have been the data I can't quite remember) but either way there were no choices to wipe the data, cache, and dalvik. I tried holding the power, volume down, and home. It said it was downloading, but I let it sit overnight and it never did anything.

Recovery is volume UP, power, and home. Downloading is down. Download mode is when you connect it to your computer to flash firmware via ODIN. CWM definitely has options to wipe data and cache on the main area, with wiping dalvik as an option in advanced options.
I'm very sorry everyone. I took it to my brother and he fixed it for me. Thank you for being so helpful though I just booted to recovery and wiped the cache, dalvik and data. Then it booted up good. I wish I was good with technology

Well, I had been pressing the wrong buttons when trying to boot into recovery *facepalm*. Also, I was too dumb to look in the advanced options for the other options, like wiping the cache, data, Dalvik, etc. Pretty much me just being a noob at all that is technology haha

stuck in loop, possibly a different kind of loop

I was trying to fix my girlfriends nexus 5 that was doing the restart loop after an update. Everything seemed to go fine. Unlocked the bootloader, etc. Flashed the newest rom (6.0.1 (MMB29S) ce1d670f61061c3902f3997510ea55d7 6bfcdfa4f4840898e5d76fa044f5e6a0f71343bf) and then something obviously went wrong (not quite sure, dont think i touched anything) and it's now stuck in a different kind of loop that only loops while it's plugged in. Ive uploaded a video to youtube, but since im a new user i cant actually link it properly yet. Hopefully this wont annoy any mods, I promise it's not spam. youtube . be / yNSoiTPnGZw
Is there any way to get it to stay on for more than a couple seconds to retry the flashing?
Any help is appreciated.

First i followed the guide here on xda to unlock the bootloader(guide-nexus-5-how-to-unlock-bootloader-t2507905), installed twrp, which went fine. Then i realized that i couldnt (or didnt realize how to via command line) to copy the stock rom and install it via twrp, so then i followed this guide here on xda (tutorial-how-to-flash-factory-image-t2513701) with the factory img (6.01 hammerhead), got to this point in the guide: ★After everything finished, select "Recovery" using the volume buttons. then it stalled out, turned off and now just cycles on and offf through the google logo with the lock picture or if i hold down the volume button it will go into the bootloader briefly then restart, rinse repeat.

Have u tried messing with the power button, there are a lot of issues on the nexus 5 with the power button causing loops, simply from getting stuck, try playing with the power button a little and see of that helps, it might just need to be replaced
Wait, did u flash the factory img with twrp, or did u flash it using fastboot?

in the end fastboot, since i coulndt see how i could copy the img over to install via twrp
im pretty sure the button is fine, since it was cycling from the ota update install, then was working fine unlocking the bootloader, but after the flash, it crapped the bed.
Different problem
I had a problem where the google logo keeps on booting up with a slight vibration. This started to happen when my was dropped.I initially thought that was a software issue and thought of installing new ROM's but eventually my device was not detected :crying:
So i took it to repair shop near my house and they said it would cost 2500
I did some google research and found the reason was due to the power button being stucked during the fall.I got that repaired and my device is good to go

ok, took it into a shop, got the power button fixed. It must have been on the way out because literally one minute it worked and the second it didnt. now i think ive got it narrowed down. it's saying it's unable to mount /persist. ive tried the various fixes:
e2fsck/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/persist
and
make_ext4fs/dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/persist
but all i get is a not found error. not sure what to do from here on.
success!! i ended up stumbling on a bit how to restore the persist partition i didnt try. got a custom rom installs and everything works. thanks to everyone who tried to help!!
stuck in bootloop while flashing cataclysm rom
i tried to flash cataclysm rom in my n5..i unlock bootloader, flash custom recovery using TWRP and flash cataclysm rom following the instructions in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/goo...s-5-how-to-unlock-bootloader-t2507905...after that it was stuck in bootloop...i tried to open recovery but it wont open anymore it will only go back to loop....how can open the recovery? is it safe to flash CWM recovery?..tnx in advance..
When it was stuck in the loop, I had to hold vol up and down with the power button (wait a few secs until it was completely off) then reboot holding down + power till it opened the bootloader. if that doesnt work, try reflashing the bootloader via fastboot. I only found out i couldnt mount the persist partition by looking at the terminal window in twrp after trying to install a rom which kept it in the boot loop. I then used the cmd: make_ext4fs /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by-name/persist to rebuild it.
