Anyone know if any existing dark status bars work on froyo? I can pretty much deal with the stock rom but i'm so damn irritated by the white status bar. I'd be so greatful if anyone has a working bar or can make one in a selfless act of kindness lol. Thanks.

There is little love given towards MCR21 at the moment so i thought i would change that, as it still is in my opinion the best Nexus ROM out there!

thanks for making the update.zip I dont know if mine works now since I made it too because the morph system I have no clue how it works
Also on mine I have added the Mms.apk that changes the MMS and SMS icon to the desire one

Ive tried to make it transparent and I do get it to work on froyo except it messes up the code causing the USB Debugging Message to say Format and that just really grinds my gears...

If you have CynanogenMod in MCR21, you can set an alpha value of whatever color you want for the Status area background with CM which will give you the desired transparency.

That's correct!
heres a online theme kitchen.. ive been using this for a few weeks now.. that way people could customize the notification bar the way they want.. all they would probably need from u is the color code..
(im not trying to take anything away from what u do impaler, just trying to limit request made for specific roms and updates or what not )

Wow. That UOT kitchen is awesome. Thanks for the link. It was incredibly easy too. Worked for both cm6.1 and aosp. Finally have the clean and informative battery I've been looking for.

So since that wouldn't be a metamorph, I should be okay to flash it while running the signal display fix right? I remember seeing somewhere that the metamorph for the circle battery didn't play nicely with the signal display fix.

Correct, it will simply override the signal fix... you just shouldn't apply the them and then the fix It's fixed in this themed notification bar anyways

That should still work fine, as it will just override it
Damn. So the online kitchen method works okay as far as displaying the battery, but you lose part of the pulldown for the notification bar. The power icons are only half the size they should be, and you lose the "clear" button to clear notifications. :/ Not really worth it. Guess I'll give your bar a shot impaler.

u don't have to apply everything in the kitchen.. you don't have to apply anything for the pull down bar.. you could just change the battery only..

I'll have to try it again then, maybe I just missed something. One thing I didn't like was it displayed a large "Roaming notification on" on the lockscreen, and had the black roaming triange, and I couldn't find a way to remove it.
There has been a lot of photos of gingerbread and it minor ui changes..One of them are the black and green notification bar with the gray when you drop it down..Im wondering if any themer can make a notification bar JUST like it..I know alot of people will love this and I would too..Im running on a Nexus One CM 6.1 nightly build..Morph or flash-able by recovery is ok with me!

Since when does "Android Version" shows you the Codename of the version?
+ it got the old statusbar icons..
+ Sony's pretty well known for not being stock Android at all.

I have a transparent status bar working now but I need a transparent drop down status bar background now. I just asked for it in the themes section.
The D2G is a tough device to work on. So little has been done with it by the bigger devs, it's left to small little groups to figure out simple stuff. I'm glad AngDroid did something, it gives us a good base to start from. Roms are coming, I know of three that are public and one or two that are still under wraps.... but they are coming. Even though it's small, there is a community of devs for the D2G, and we are working. Right now, the Get-R-Done is the best bet for an awesome rom. Just small things that don't work (flashing the rom, for instance, lol) don't work.
At least we don't have to worry about only having an old Fission build anymore!

Problem is though that the text is black which makes it impossible to see the alerts etc. on the drop down menu. Hey can you do me a favor? Do you know how to use root explorer and have root acces by any chance?
I'm about to get the Thunderbolt and I'm putting everything back to normal before I send it back and I need a copy of the framework.apk so I can get the original files back. Ninja Morph backed up the new files not the old ones??
