Lag of touchscreen - HTC Sensation

Hello, i'm new here and i buyed an htc sensation.Everything ok but i noticed a micro-lag when i swipe on touchscreen(2-3 ms)...so the screen doesn't follow correctly the finger.I tried with other phones like the GS2,Sony Xperia ARC S and iphone 4 and they haven't that lag...So my question is:There is a solution for this micro-lag?(Too the HTC Evo 3D and Galaxy Nexus have that minimal lag).
P.S.:I have already tried some roms and all have that issue.
If you want an example search lag touchscreen galaxy nexus on google and select the first result

I think this is normal. Every touchscreen device has a certain delay. 50ms or lower im not exacly sure.

The lag is not in your touchscreen, its the rom, try run a aosp rom (the old builds) and you will see no lag in touch.
In sense 4 there is no lag in touch inputs as well

as webstar1 mentioned it before you should flash a different rom, after i installed cm9 open sensation all the lags where gone, the only issue that i am currently having is the weird scrolling in the cm9 roms, it's like you have to scroll fast at first and once it starts scrolling the issue seems to get away, when i tried the scrolling with a galaxy nexus, it was just like on the iPhone 4s, so there is defintely a problem with the scrolling --> no hardware issue, software related

[Q] Any Xperia based ROMs for HTC Desire S?

Hi All,
Is there any Xperia based ROM (Only ICS+, no G available for HTC Desire S?
Please comment.
Merry Xmas to all..
Errr, there arent much roms in dev section, and the roms are pretty similar.
It is either different version of sense from different ports or different cm/aosp/aokp which runs with trebuchet or something similar.

I pretty mch used every other ROMs. I m now in Sabsa Prime 10.1 from Paranoid ROM, CyMod10, 10.1 etc...
But, i like to have a feel of new Xperia ICS+ ROMs.
Thanks for reply.
i've tried to port an xperia rom to desire s..... Ended up with a lot of bugs...
Camera not working
No sound coming out the speaker
3g connection not working
wifi won't function at all..
Btw iam not a developer i've just gave it a try
I don't think any developer (among the very few who are still active on Desire S) will try to work on a Xperia based ROM. I guess there will be many kernel based issues (I'm no dev, just a guess).
But I think this new Xperia Launcher by ra3al might help you get that Xperia feel. Link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2021332
Thanks @Kingdomds. Even i thought of that. Anyways, thanks for the update.
@tech_gooner - After using XperiaLauncher only, i asked that qn. But, Xperia LAuncher taking heavy toll on normal usage of Sabsa Prime Sense.
Any way Im going to flash ViperSAGA soon.

I used Xperia Launcher for nearly two weeks on CM10 and 10.1 (flinny's builds), and it did not have any major battery drainage.

@tech I m not telling about battery. Thats fine.
But, phone became extremely slow. I think Sense goodies running with Xperia makes it tough for the phone.
Anyways, that led me to try the Viper Saga. Its awesome..

[Q] Any luck with Chrome on the infuse?

So with ICS and JB roms I've often installed chrome and eventually give up due to lag. Sometimes the screen will just freeze for 30 seconds or more.
Anyone else experiencing this?
I really like the way chrome handles bookmarks.
I'd really like chrome to work. I keep most of my bookmarks on my desktop in the bookmark bar. I delete the names so all i see is the fav.icons. (i can fit a lot more of them up there this way) The stock browser can sync to these bookmarks but without text they are useless. It doesn't load fav.icons, but uses page previews instead. I can't see any of those until i visit every page. It makes the whole experience kind of confusing.
Chrome requires an ARM7 processor which we have, but are we missing something in the gpu area that just makes using chrome unrealistic? Something else?
I tried it a couple months ago when it was still in beta. It was so laggy and terrible but it was in the final stages of beta. Chrome is officially only compatible with ICS and JB phones so I guess there's a reason for that since JB and ICS phones are more powerful than the infuse.
Currently using: Atrix HD Stock rooted
Own: Samsung Infuse
Atrix 4G
Xperia Play
Samsung Galaxy S2
DROID 2
ZTE Score
Samsung Galaxy Prevail
Motorola Triumph
HTC EVO 4G
It worls for me
I have 7 tabs open on Chrome and have been running for 2 weeks with no issues.:good:
Infuse 4G running [ROM][JellyBean][4.2.2]Unofficial CM10.1 - 5/19/2013 - Butter - MTD - OC Kernel
Sorry about the misspelling of "works"
No Problem for me except after flashing a rom with Chrome.apk baked in - Asks to be updated

Should I buy TAB2?

I've been mostly HTC fanboy except disappointment with my HTC Sensation which is quite bad (I also have HTC Flyer and HTC Wildfire and I'm happy with both). Now I'm looking to buy some new 10 inch tablet, would you recommend P5110 as a good choice? Are they not faulty like my HTC sensation? Maybe I should look for some other models? Please let me know do you consider your TAB2 being a good choice, which model and what are the alternatives within similar price? I didn't ask those questions before buying HTC Sensation and I have device that have many faults that are caused by HTC not giving damn about making their product fully reliable I hope that is not the case with TAB2. Please share your opinions whether you satisfied with your purchase , would you recommend and any advice for new to Samsung android products guy. Thanks.
The Tab2 is a good choice but i think the Tab 3 is more potential and its price is good (199 Eur).
If you want good support from xda (more roms and other mods) you can choose tab 2 over tab 3 . coz 10 inch tab 3 has an intel processor so don't expect cynogenmod and other AOSP , so you should stuck in stock rom .
If you care performance and design over support then you can choose tab 3
But the better options in galaxy devices are note 10.1 (expensive) or note 8.0 . coz both have s -pen and and are goodplayers in the case of performance . So you don't miss anything out in these tablets

New nexus 7 is a cr*p .it has got multitouch issues and wifi issues and the buid quality is not that good (but on paper the specs are impressive and it has a good developers support(coz it's nexus!))

You can run many hd games really well with tab 2 GT-P5110 because i have it with cyanogenmod 10.2(android 4.3) and with custom kernel which supports gpu overclock but you don't need to so to play without lag. Just remeber that when you have bought(if you buy tab 2) you get custom jelly bean 4.1.2 c custom 4.3 or stock 4.1.2 rom because icecream sandwich is so bad, i had eve downloading problems on many sites with it but it is juat 4.0.4 or 4.0.3 icecream sandwich stock rom. I have had tab 2 for about 4 months and for example (with rom i am using) i can play nfs most wanted and asphault 8 without lag without overclock, and i am sure that too with 4.1.2. Reason why i don't recomend 4.2.2 jelly bean roms is because they haven't so good performance but its just me because i am gamer, but it has good features and so on.
There are probably better choices for the cost, but that said I've ran ICS stock, jellybean stock, cm 10, cm10.1 and cm10.2 on the 7 inch variant and have been very happy with it, my only gripe I've ever had was screen quality, - it's not HD. But that doesn't so me from preferring it over my kindle fire HD.
I am not sure it will be a contender when key lime pie comes out.

I suggest to choose another mark. Samsung will tell you that the device can receive the update but honestly it is a fake. I have a galaxy tab 2 10.1 and in Italy the update to jellybean was for January 2013. Now it is September and I didn't receive any updated. The same for my phone galaxy duos. **** Samsung

Hi. I think your choice also depends on whether you want the tab for games, for reading, watching series or movies, so forth...
I believe nexus 7 is a great choice if you care much about games or you are a developer, however my opinion is that Galaxy line of Tabs have a very good battery life, good developer support, and works fine for everyday use.

No. Super leggy.

I like my tab 2 7.0. Really happy with it, little lagging but I mainly use it as ebook reader and with nova prime on it lag is almost non existent. I don't noticed any lag in other games either. Again, lag only on the stock launcher touchwiz (even the s4 has) and some browsing.

Nexus 7 is good device and has very impressive specs on paper but it's not good for real life use. Actually nexus devices are meant for developers and high end users (especially nexus 7) . New nexus 7 is a very defective model on both hardware side and software side..and we can see their real build quality of asus from that device(very poor). If you're considering value for your money then flo (N7) is a no-go
If you want to see the poor build quality of N7 then head to this N7 thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2380223
I can compare to Kindle Fire original, N7, Nook HD (Hummingbird CM 10.2), Nook HD+ ((Ovation CM 10.2). The stock, rooted, 2.7 is my favorite
GPS, front/rear camera, MicroSD Card, microphone, hardware keys and IR are important features for me. With MightyText and Magicjack installed, I have what is almost a phone. A 7 inch GPS is a wonderful thing and that is difficult without the External Storage. Downside is weak screen resolution and poor laggy screen with Touchwiz (use Nova Launcher).
If screen resolution is a major factor, the CM ROM Nooks are a great value.

Galaxy S4 Android 4.3 Features (Video)

Here is a quick run down of the key features of the new Android 4.3 Galaxy S4 update, one thing though anyone that's used it noticed the launcher draws slower now? Maybe just me.

I agree, the app drawer launch effect looks much slower.
GOLF and 360 Panorama in camera??
I just wished to ask if the Camera of the S4 has been updated with the GOLF and the 360 photosphere camera mode??
please reply...eagerly awaiting
regards,
achyut.
Is the screen/text noticeably sharper or is that just minor
Does the stock browser hide the status bar in full-screen mode like the S3 did? (Stupid regression there).
I'm also curious if the 360 and Golf modes are in the camera.
You're taking about leak version.
The best reason for use TW is the camera, and nobody talks about it in the 4.3 posts!!!!
The camera is the only good reason for me to stay on stockrom.
Everything else of samsung either useless or way too much. Nobody needs all this features. Especially when the rom is thrice the size of stock android :/
NOTHING about the gt-i9500???? I'd rather stay with my razr hd, instead this mess!

HTC Sesne on Samsung devices

Hello guys!
Recently I discover that we can still have sense on our phones, kind of. The apps are ported for Redmi Note 5, but seems like to working on S10 too, so I thought it may work also on S9. Currently, I'm using Galaxy A5 2017, but my mine phone is S9+ (currently in repair service).
I was HTC user for a few years and I really loved HTC Sense 4. After that version, HTC removed the cool animations and effects and made it lighter. I love also OneUI. If you feel nostalgic, or want something different, can try HTC Sense.
All credits and thanks to @ckpv5 !!!
You can check his post - HERE, and see the download links also.
Screenshots from Galaxy A5 2017 running Android Oreo 8:
Note:
There is some weird bug on some people, including me - you can't see the apps in the app drawer. However, they can be seen if are installed after the HTC Sense Home. What I did is to backup all apps and restore them one by one. It can be pretty annoying, but probably the only fix for now, if you have this problem.
