Remove black menu bar from Zeam launcher - HTC One S

Had my one s for a couple days coming from the vibrant. I liked the Zeam launcher when I was on the vibrant but on one s it has a black menu bar on the bottom that I find a waste of space. Has Any one found a way to get rid of it, or found a similar lightweight launcher?

Apex Launcher is kickass, followed by Nova, which I'm losing faith in. Both are ICS stock replacements / enhancements.
And if you're looking to maybe go to something completely different, give GO Launcher EX a try. It's quite interesting and thorough, but just not my cup of tea.

That Menu bar (if I understand your issue right) is not Launcher related, that always pops up, if you open apps, that are not yet ICS optimized.
Here is a fix for it - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1626826
You can also flash Virtuous ROM v.1.40 on Rootzwiki, that has eliminated the menu bar plus added task manager on longpressing Home button.

Is it possible...(sense theming)

to change the bar on the bottome of sense ROMs? It seems like such a waste of space to have a HUGE phone button and a "add to home" button that isn't needed. I know I could install launcherpro or ADW...but I like the sense widgets just not the bottom bar.
I have no idea if it is possible, but if it is the Devs here at XDA can do it

actually I just saw the tread about 2 posts down that is titled "Sense Themes" and they have 5 buttons on the bottom. I don't really like the look of it, but hopefully it will progress.
Mod can delete if you would like...sorry

The screenshot with 5 icons was actually LauncherPro and not sense. You can actually change the launcher to look however you want as long as the png file is the same size as the default launcher. The limitation however is that you cant change how the 3 buttons work on the launcher (app drawer, phone and +).
thats a bummer, I like launcher pro but have a few issues with it:
1. I have an icon on my screen that tells me when I have new SMS and the LauncherPro has an icon in the bar, but it doesn't say if there is a new msg. Kind of redundant to have both.
2. I like the sense widgets, LP widgets are ok but I prefer the Sense twitter/facebook widget, the calendar and the favorites.
Actually, yes! I will be releasing sense bar mods this week. The first one will be a simple app drawer button in the middle. Afterwards, I will be releasing mods that allow third party apps to launch from sense buttons. Here is a simple preview of what I have so far. More to come.

What Launcher is everybody using?

I'm looking at getting either GoLauncher or Launcher Pro (but Ive seen alot of complaints about not alot of updates for this one). I want one that light, fast, customizable and functions well on this phone any suggestions?
Ive been using Launcher Pro and have had zero problems, easily customizable with some good themes. Have seen good reviews on both of them. Try both of them out yourself and see which one works best for you
Cool thanx should I download a program to manage them like HomeSwitcher or something?
Oh yeah and one other question is Launcher Pro premium worth the price or just the free is good enough?
To me premium is def worth the price. It gives you the option to be able to resize the widgets plus a few more option that you cant get with the free version.
Homeswitcher is def good in case you have a couple of launchers installed or just in case you want to go back to the stock home launcher.
been using adw ex
Every Android phone I have owned has had Go Launcher on it. Not sure why but its never gave me a single problem.
After researching it and taking opinions I went with Go Launcher. Thought I had a problem with it, but it turned out to be ME changing too many options up front. Who would have thought that?
I use Launcher Pro Plus (worthy investment)...I have tried Go Launcher and ADW EX, and both are good but Launcher pro seemed smoother to me. Also, since I already paid for LPP a while back I didn't want to not use it even though it wasn't that expensive.
I have installed:
ADWLauncher EX
Balancer
Launcher Pro(free one)
I use Launcher Pro the most. I had GO Launcher EX and Zeam, but uninstalled those. Launcher Pro is what I use the most. I have not played fully with ADW or Balancer. I do feel I like some of the features of Balancer (built in file manager, transparency when in app drawer).
I say download them all, play with them and use what you like.
Go Launcher EX w/ Honeycomb theme (modified w/ICS icons)

Launcher Pro here. It has worked very well for me and I like customizable and scrollable dock.
I went with GoLanucher EX for now and I love it very smooth and has a theme for every piece of it I Have the GoContacts and GoSMS and both work great Ill try it out for a week or two and see how it goes thanks for all the feedback
I've been using Launcher Pro since I had my original Atrix. Never have any problems. I tried all the rest and like this one the most.
Go Launcher EX, the amount of customization is crazy! Very smooth too.

I'm currently using adw launcher because i saw a battery drain while using go launcher ex. Probably its just me and not go launcher BUT adw launcher is giving me more battery life and very simple configurations.

[Q] Mod home screen n notification bar

Is it possible to mod Home screen like touhwiz and toggle shortcuts in notification bat other than go launcher?
For now, the closest you can probably get is TW Launcher (available from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1061883) and one of the apps available from the market that adds toggles to the notification pulldown (search: "notification toggle").
EDIT: Actually, you'll need to use one of the older versions of TW Launcher that has been tweaked for our QHD screens. You can find them here: http://www.atrixforums.com/forum/motorola-atrix-themes/3242-touchwiz-4-5-launcher-touch-sii.html

I have used that tw launcher on my infuse and it was unstable for me. I don't know how it acts on the A2 but on the infuse it constantly rebooted my phone.

I used it on my old Optimus 2x with both the stock ROM and CM7 and apart from an occasional FC while tweaking the settings, I found it to be very reliable.
I guess mileage varies depending on your hardware.
Personally, I think Motorola's launcher is one of the best one's I've ever come across, and I'm pretty sure I've tried them all (including some rather obscure ones), so I'm sticking with it for now.

Highly recommend Nova Launcher for S3

Hey folks,
I highly recommend replacing the touch Wiz launcher with nova launcher. I have found it much more intuitive, and much easier to use. (I am not affiliated with Nova in any way.)
Several advantages:
1. The bottom bar (dock) of apps is highly customizable, with as many apps as you choose. You can also create multiple pages of docked apps, so it's possible to access 10 or 15 apps on the lower dock.
2. The App drawer is automatically alphabetized, unlike touch Wiz, which I find so much easier to use. There are of course workarounds on touch Wiz, but why bother? I just dock the icon for the app drawer on the lower dock so it's always available.
3. Nova has one step back up of your screen layouts so that if you are wiping your phone regularly in order to reflash ROM's, it's trivial to reset your screen layouts by doing a restore from nova. This saves a lot of tweaking time.
4. You can customize the layout of your desktop with variable margins, a persistent search bar on all pages, gestures, and with nova launcher prime ($4), you also get unread counts for SMS, missed calls, and Gmail, which is very nice.
5. Basically everything is customizable and modifiable. I greatly prefer it over the stock touch Wiz launcher. Check out the free version of nova, as it has virtually all the features other than the unread counts.
I personally prefer apex but I can see the appeal in nova. They are pretty similar.

I tried Apex but had a super annoying rendering hug that would display a box on the main home screen for a split second...
Not even considering that I spent a few hours tweaking Apex for a few hours (loved that it had so many options) but 90% of the Nova defaults were perfect for me and after going from Apex to Nova was convinced that it was right for me.

Have you tried Go launcher?
Just fyi... the "work around" to get the app drawer alphabetized is clicking the menu button with the app drawer open and then clicking, "view type" and switching to alphabetized. Not exactly complicated. Or even a work around.
Nova is great, but I'm actually enjoying touchwiz. I do want to switch over and play with nova more... But eh, not seeing a huge need. Coming from sense (which I hated) I'm quite happy on tw.
Though I do miss being able to back everything up

Using Apex launcher plus. I tried Nova first, but Apex has a few more features. Just my opinion. Coming from my Dinc running Holo launcher after a VERY long run with LauncherPro (rip).

Any idea what's up with the widget selector for Nova? I click on the widgets tab and instead of the expected widget drawer I get a list of widgets similar to ginger bread.
Is this a feature that's unlocked with nova prime? Or is that widget drawer option something different? Other than that Nova is pretty sweet!

Tried this? On my last rooted phone, Droid Incredible, it worked perfectly. Haven't tried it on this phone though cuz I don't feel the need to root. REQUIRES ROOT:

Apex and Nova are both based on the stock 4.0.x ICS launcher, so they're very similar, but Apex gives more features for free.
You're definitely making a mistake if you use Go Launcher or ADW or LauncherPro on this phone, since those are Gingerbread-based. The ICS launcher is just a much, much better base.

[Q] [CM 10.1/Trebuchet] How to Rearrange Homescreens?

I just rooted and installed CyanogenMod 10.1.3RC1-D2VZW on a new Galaxy S3 this weekend. Everything went well, but this is my first exposure to using Trebuchet launcher. Two really basic things that it can't seem to do, or I can't figure out how to do it yet.
1) Rearrange homescreens. On other launchers I've used, there's usually a pinch gesture that will bring up an option to reorder the home screens. I can't find any such option in Trebuchet and I've searched this forum and can't find any discussion of this functionality. I increased my homescreens from 5 to 7 and now I want to rearrange their order, but it does not appear possible in Trebuchet 1.0, is that true?
2) Adding Application shortcut. I've added a couple extra dock pages, and would like to add an Application drawer shortcut to each one, but that does not appear to be possible either. I searched and found the thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2086465
And there is no real solution for that either.
Seems like two basic omissions in Trebuchet to me, but I can't find any documentation on Trebuchet 1.0 either, so maybe I'm just missing something. Can anyone advise? Thanks!
For your first question usually hitting the home button while on the home screen will bring up your pages for rearranging. For your second question i do not think it's possible. I recommend you go grab Nova Launcher never look back. It will do both of those things you want and much much more. It's in the play store.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk 4
Unfortunately no. Pressing home button while on the home screen doesn't bring up a screen rearrangement interface in trebuchet. I've installed ADW launcher as a workaround, huh it seems like a pretty crazy omission in trebuchet. Maybe I'll try nova also, never used that launcher before.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Nova and Apex look exactly like Trebuchet but with more features. Nova is the smoothest of the 3 IMO.

I did create another page in home screen by dragging the icon to the right, without leaving the former empty...
