Hey,
I'm currently running AOKP on my Sensation and I'm liking it a lot, sadly I want to try out an a HDMI adapter that works via MHL. Unfortunately the support for MHL in the Android Open Kang Project only extends as far as permanently locking the phone into Landscape mode.
I was wondering: what ROM people would recommend for an AOSP fan who wants to use MHL?
Thanks,
ANkh
Virtuous Inquisition 4.x should suit your needs. As far as I can recall, the MHL output is in both portrait and landscape.

Yep, I switched to Virtuous Inquisition 4.0.2 and now MHL is working just fine. The MHL adapter is a bit of a pain to use though.
Thanks,

Hey guys. Im looking for a fast Rom with options to overclock the CPU and being able to play n64oid with wiimote and mhl/hdmi. I really would love to take cynogenmod but from what i have heard mhl doesnt work right now on it. and im dying to get n64oid work with multiplayer any thoughts of a good Rom or dö you think cynogen Will fix the mhl problem?
i think CM7 is the only rom out there that has bluetooth stacks that are compatible with the wiimote. maybe one day someone will make a hybrid Rom that will have the stock AOSP bluetooth stacks with sense UI
oooh so its the only.. hmm but as it seems now MHL/HDMI doesnt work on CM7.. its pity
I noticed that Prime 5 has HDMI out working while Ordroid 8.1.0 does not. A black screen appears on Ordroid.
1. Would there be an easy way to look at the differences in libraries between the two and figure out which files are needed for MHL to work properly if anyone is familiar with which binaries provide HDMI out?
2. I saw elsewhere that if it isn't just a HTC specific library, then the correct kernel should provide the MHL interface and swapping the kernel could make a Sense 4 ROM do HDMI out. Any further thoughts?

Do any of the available kernals for the Infuse support Bluetooth 3.0? Is there anyway to tell which version of BT I currently have?
This should be in Q&A. I'm almost positive that the Infuse is v2.1

pretty sure stock rom with touchwiz is 3.0 but it also lacks some older protocalls that they use for game controllers, i've also been unable to connect to old smartphones (windows mobile and symbian) for contact exchange with touchwiz roms.... do you need something fast? because the bt 2.1 on cyanogen mod and other opensource roms has much more compatibility. what do you intend to do thatyou need bt 3.0?

I have a controller that needs BT 3.0 or higher. But I'm thinking it's probably best to upgrade the phone after the holidays.
When I first got this phone, I really enjoyed the MHL abilities, and this was when I had know clue what ADB or Kernel meant. At the moment, I have CM10 (stable)(stock cm10 rom)) and wanted to play some games via the TV and Sixaxis. I realized that CM10 does not support HDMI out, so to the point.
What are the best ROM's that support MHL?
Any sense ROM.

Can someone verify this? I am running an official cm10 nightly and i tried using MHL on my One S the other day and it did not work. So i was wondering if MHL doesnt work on cm10 roms?
If so, what roms support MHL and how can i verify this before installing the rom? Is there a way? Does cm10.1 support MHL?
Same here.
Running "Dark Jelly S" build 12 and having the same problem.
TrickDroid supports it. It's Sense based though.

CM generaly have poor MHL support for various phones. I just tried my MHL andapter runing luxandroidROM on villec2. Compared to GS2 it has better screen fit, nicer colors, but I notice a framerate drop in sense home and other apps. Videos run smooth. How about others that use MHL?
