I have flashed 2 different Rome and have the same iissue with the screen in portrait mode. The p,l,m,and delete become unresponsive. Could the new mr4 radio be causing that or something else. Should I try to unroot and try to get a replacement?

Try taking it off and putting a new one on.. I've noticed the same issues and a change of screen protector fixed it. Let me know how it goes!
When you flashed the two different roms did you wipe the system partition too? I've been noticing some people having weird issues when they flash roms.

Removed protecter still have the issue.
I factory reset/wipe data 2 or 3 times, format system 2 or 3 times, and wipe delvik 2 or 3times.

It seems that that area of the screen works fine when in landscape mode...is there an easy way to unroot to try and replace it? Read of one from the market but it bricked the one persons phone.

You can repair the screen without unrooting the phone. Its a pretty easy fix. You just have to be very careful. There are some great repair guides on the internet.

Hey, so I got my nexus s a few days ago and love it, how ever I've been having some problems with it.
Randomly the soft buttons on the phone, mainly the search key stars pressing its self. As in I'm not touching the phone but the button is being pressed.
I'm running cm7, don't really think its a rom thing but any help would be great.

That used to happen to mine too, I found that by booting into recovery and wiping data and wiping cache and dalvik cache fixed that problem.
Give it a try and let me know if it also works for you guys.

Long thread on it at google support. If you have an I9020a, then it's a known "bug". it is associated to the modem and only happens when on 3G

Maybe put it back to stock and exchange it for a new one. Tell them the phone is defective.

The problem exists I the kb2 modem also though not has bad.
The warranty is not good across the border your will ned to ship it to the US then have it serviced from there. Pointless in my opinion since it is a software problem.

One day all of a sudden as i was running cm9 alpha 5 my data went away. The h or 4g icon flashes and disappears in half a second. Ive tryed fresh flashing cm9 alpha 5/6 and MikMIUI data doesnt work on any of those. Wifi works but i need my 4g connection for when im out of range of a router.
Ive tryed a couple of sense roms and the data works there (mik XE, miktouch, virtuous infinity, primadona) but i cant get it working on senseless roms /: .
Im not the biggest fan of sense can somebody help please?

This is a commonly reported issue with CM9 A5/6. MikMIUI is based on CM9 and so has some of the same issues. Time will tell if it is insurmountable.

I had the same problem with CM9 A5 about a month ago. Out of the blue, it just stopped working. Somewhere on these boards, there's mention of changing the APN settings which I did and it fixed the data issue I was having. If I can find it again, I'll post the link.

That's the one I use. It works when it want's too. Like Netflix and Pandora will work. But Youtube, and Broswer. Nope.

I tryed it on mikMIUI (love that rom) and i have no data at all. 3 days ago the data icon would flash but now it just never comes on.

Are you S-On or S-Off? If S-ON, did you flash the boot.img file before flashing a new ROM? When you flashed your new ROM, did you wipe all data along with it? Davlic, user data, etc.? Unfortunately, I don't really know what else to tell you other than to do a nandroid backup, wipe everything off your phone and see what kind of results you get. Once my issue was corrected, I really didn't go any deeper into why it happened and didn't get much of a response when I inquired about it.
Yeah im gonna try that. But yeah i am s-off and when i flash a rom i wipe cache and dalvik and i format system, cache, and data manually.

Finally got it working! All I did was what I used to do every time I installed a rom with a different kernel, mount system and data then install. I'm so happy I got it working and batterylife shouldn't be an issue with mikmiui since my 3800mah battery is coming in today

jeffakajeff in the CM9 alpha thread suggested to reflash the radio. I didn't find a link here on xda, but i didn't look very hard. I did find it on rootzwiki, as it was pinned at the top.
I have this issue. Seemed to crop up every 2-3 days recently, even though i have been running A6 since its release. It progressively got worse until i just completely wiped and restored my device today.
Gonna flash the radio and see if the issue returns.

Don't forget to wipe cache/dalvik after flashing radio or it won't boot

what kernel did you use, just curious?
I used the kernel mikmiui comes with. All I did was wipe everything data both caches and then I formatted data cache and system. And before I flashed miui I mounted data and system.
On a side note man this battery makes the phone twice as thick but I think its worth it. I haven't charged it yet and I've only lost 5% with wifi and bluetooth on. Screen times been about 45 minutes

I started having this problem with my phone. I talked to a girl at T-Mobile and she said the SIM card was having issues and replaced it. I had the same problem the next day and went in again. Since I have the insurance plan, she just RMA'd the phone for free, saying it was a problem they've been having with the radio/antenna stuff. The radio would get finger-meltingly hot and flash the H icon on and off and would never get a mobile data connection. I also tried backing the clock speed way down below stock to see if that resolved it.
O.K. Solved my problem with rooting, but now another has arisen. My screen seems to loose all contrast and get bright after a period of time. Is this possibly due to rooting or just a bad unit?

Not caused by root, sounds like a bad unit. Do a factory reset and return it to store.

Anyone ever hear of finger touch being unresponsive while S-pen functionality remains perfect?I don't mean you have to thump it to get it to recognize a touch,I mean NO TOUCH WHATSOEVER....zilch zero nothing.....I've flashed stock ROM,checked settings in every app that could be involved... Sounds like the capacitive touch digitizer is bad.. This has nothing to do with the s-pen digitizer ...Have you dropped it or banged it around much. Maybe its a loose connection ... Just thoughts. but 8 months old its under warranty still. Call samsung.. Boohooooo

Was the tablet connected to charging? If yes take off the charger and try.
Remove tablet from any magnetic case amd try again as well.

I was playing candy crush earlier and my screen just started turning white and really hot so I took battery out right away. After I turned it on the screen is all flickery now. I thought it might be the ROM since I'm running g paranoid android but when I went into recovery mode even twrp looked blurry. Any suggestions? Kinda hard to tell but I took a couple pics of the screen.
