You shouldn't have to unless you run into issues.

So i am just wondering why is it that the custom roms cant deep sleep while Wifi or BT are enabled. I've searched and read around and havent seen why. Also great looking rom, i'm about to flash it.

I don't either. Just scroll through the first section on the 360 launcher. It's about 95% English. If you look on XDA the developer also has converted a few of the add-on apps to English as well.

Major differences. The code is now updated to the current release of CM7 7.2 RC1 also I have removed all the major apps (File Manger, ADW Launcher, File Explorer, etc. as these can all be download from the Play Store). I have added in themes for ICS, Miui and also added 30 new wallpapers based on ICS and Miui. Major bugs that have been resolved is Proximity sensor when you are on calls, Camera, and the worse sound levels that drop off when notifications come in. In the new ROM there is also new video drivers so you will be going from about 13.2FPS to 23.7FPS that was done by Whyzor.

Is there a way to change the background of the drop down notification?

I just installed this to take a look. It has a basic AOSP (Android Open Source Project) look and feel. This is not unlike the look of CyanogenMod 6.0. Indeed according to the github it uses some of the same source. This is pure android, you won't find any sense here!
Anyway pretty impressive.
It appears to work well for standard hardware, but like CM 6 does not yet have the newer features of the EVO (HDMI, 4G) implemented. These are taking several very good coders a lot of hours to build. This is not a knock on this rom.
I did notice there a a few theme links available on the site, but I didn't try them.
This could be interesting and well worth watching.

The kernel is not overclocked and apparently still capped at 30 fps. I got 30 fps with a stdev of 5.11. The quadrant score was 1403, pretty darn good for not overclocked and I didn't shut down a lot of services to try to get a better number (just used SetCPU set to 998 MHz and performance).
If you want to give this a try, be sure to do a nandroid first. As well, there is a separate zip for the google apps [emerald-1.1.1-gapps-update.zip]. Grab both the main zip and the gapps, flash the main [emerald 1.1.1-update.zip] and follow it with the google apps, then reboot. Of course, you will ned a full wipe!
This could be interesting and well worth watching.

I would like to take a moment and humbly thank AllDroid.org for supporting my campaign to keep Android development moving forward as a community. We are a single voice reminding everyone that as much as we are Android, Android is us.
Rather than continue posting builds as a reply to another thread, I will be using this thread to test my updates and changes. Should relieve all the "where is the link?" posts.
For those asking "but what is different?" I will no longer be uploading to github first and building after so all the changes I make get tested before they are merged and I don't have to compare source to get my results through the replies to a different ROM.

Data was broken? This isn't a modification of one of the other builds, so I can't say if it has the same problems until it is tested. Part of the reason I started a separate thread was to not have the issues those builds have get mixed in with what issues I had to look at.

Gonna give this a shot, love your cm7.
Edit: OK been running this last night and today, only a couple things to report. Using it stock kernel etc I didn't change anything. Wifi calling FC constantly, had to freeze it to shut it up. Wifi ap froze the phone, had to battery pull. Getting a lot of keyboard lag. Rom ran great when it first installed, but now the keyboard lag won't go away even after reboot. Having a hard time getting google sync on 4g, sometimes does sometimes doesn't, wifi is working fine.
Overall very nice rom especially considering no tweaks really done, runs very well.

If you take a look at CM's site, you'll see that their development hasn't advanced any, as far as what's been released, since May 11th. So, I'm sure that once CM releases an update, Euroskank will update based off new source code.

His girlfriend just had a newborn, so I'm thinking he may be busy for a while, I'm trying to reason with him into letting him give some of the new developers a starting point with his code for the kernel for ICS, and possibly a starting point for the Camera to work, but until HTC puts out another source, we're stuck without a Camera for a bit.
Any news on this? Not that asking for an eta, just curious of progress.

Do so! It is amazingly smooth, and, although for now it lacks some features we are
used to it is only a matter of time until those incredible developers are able to incorporate
them. For now third party apps do a decent job. :good:
its more lacking cyanogenmod features than anything real hardware issues. its very aosp-y with only a few cm enhancements.

What's wrong? it works.
Scott has taken a good path, solidifying the basics before adding the perks. Nothing like a good foundation, and 4.4 is doing more for our old Infuses, even in its current WIP, than any version of Android since Gingerbread.
My only issue is the rom isn't letting me restore my texts from super backup soon as i get that working i'm using kk as a daily driver
Battery life seems to be better than 4.3. I see lots claiming massive battery time increases, which has me curious how many people leave things like gmail sync,Google now, etc running all the time.
very sleek and fast interface, and battery life :good:

nearly all sms backup apps arent working because of the way sms app handling is done in kitkat. the backup app has to become the default messaging app. i think only sms backup & restore supports this right now, so give that a try. works great for me.
you can install it to your phone here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.riteshsahu.SMSBackupRestore
