Ive been using GO keyboard on and off for a while now and love it, only problem I have is that I cant see my emojis as Im typing them.
I have go sms with emoji plug in as well as the plug on for go keyboard but they just leave a blank space when i put one in. However they do show up in the conversation when I send.
Any advice anyone can give would be appreciated!
Are you using its latest version?
Yeah, can't understand it. Even when I use android keyboard on my s2 I can see the emojis while typing but not with go keyboard

you may disable AUTOSPACE option in the settings. That actually was designed for easier typing

Issue:
I use a BT keyboard and Evernote for taking notes in my lectures. Everything works fine but the on screen keyboard pops up whenever I tap on a word to edit it or add more notes in between.
I want to know if it's possible to make an app that will disable the on screen keyboard from popping up when I'm using a my BT keyboard.
I'm using Cyanogen 6.1 RC1.

Possible? Yes, absolutely.
Does using a BT keyboard require you to select a specific input method? If not, a makeshift way to do it would be to download one of the Miimote apps and select that as your input method, rather than "Android Keyboard" or whatever.
If not, I'm sure someone has or can make an "invisible keyboard" to set as your input method.
Dude I think that will solve my issue. I'll test it out later but I think you hit the nail on the head. I appreciate it.
By the way you don't need to choose an input method with CM6 and Apple keyboard.

Sorry if Im asking an already answered question but I don't know the solution. I dont know if this is a Liberty issue because of the small screen, or an issue related to the google voice app itself. but when Im typing a message out in google voice and the text gets to the 4 line, I can no longer see what I am typing, the word suggestion row above the letters are covering what im writing. This used to be fine when I used swipe because it never did that, however I updated swype and no it is having the same issues. Does anyone know of a solution to this? a different keyboard? a fix?
I don't know of a fix, but rotate to landscape mode will keep the text box fully visible. This is really annoying to me as well.

yah, this has been a known problem. just tried typing in both G Voice and Handsent. wrote a paragraph of text with no issue in either landscape or portrait mode.
i remember in the beginning it didnt work for me either. running CM7.1, and all is well
I use Swype. So usually when this happens for me i just cycle from Swype to th Default back to Swype and it's fixed.
Okay... So for as long as I've had this phone, I've been getting this error. Am I the only one who gets this, or does everyone here suffer from this every time you reboot your phone? It's insanely annoying and if there is ANY way to get rid of this, I would love to know how. Anyways, this is the error:
External Keyboard
Swype may not be compatible with this physical keyboard. If you experience issues, switch back to Motorola input.

Then it forces me to select my input method. I like swype and I would like you continue using it. I would just like to get rid of this message every time I reboot my phone.
On a side-note... which touch screen keyboard do you guys prefer to use?
For the relatively few times by comparison I don't use the hardware keyboard, I always use Swiftkey and wouldn't consider anything else otherwise.

Good, I thought I was the only one. I always hit the 'do not show this message again' tick box. I got used to it.
I use Swype when I type in potrait mode.

I often use swype when I'm skating and don't want to pull out the keyboard.
But yeah, the message really gets annoying. This is the only phone I've ever gotten that warning on.
I routinely get this message as well. I always select Swype and check to the box to not show this notification again, but it still comes back a day or two later.
Wish there was a permanent fix or way to suppress this message as it's quite pointless. Everything seems to work fine otherwise.
Yeah I have had 3 photon q's and they all do this! So *%&*#*@ annoying

Ok, I cannot find anything related to my problem, and I CAN`T be the only one with this.
First things first: My name is Lane, long time lurker, first time poster. I have a P-3113 GTab2 7", stock rooted JB 4.1.2, and a IVSO bluetooth keyboard case. Over the last week, I've been trying to find a way to hide the soft keyboard while using the BT keyboard. I started with "Null Keyboard", but all it did was get rid of the keyboard entirely. I still like using the soft keyboard when I need it in a pinch. I don't like having to switch manually. Then I found AnySoftKeyboard, which i freakin' love.
But now i have a problem.
When the default keyboard is set to AnySoft (or any other keyboard for that matter), i can use it and its wonderful features for a total of 5-10 minutes before Android complains and throws up an error message, then switches the default keyboard back to Samsung... I even caught a screenshot of the error just now. You can see AnySoftKeyboard in the screenshot behind the message, but then it switches to the Samsung keyboard.

It is an error i might recognize.. Does it happen with ny other keyboard too??like swift key or ny other that stock??
If you get prob just in AnySoft then its the problem in programming made by the app developer,
if other keyboards crash too then i guess its the problem in your rom.. Did you flash ny thing on your current rom??
Also,
Try using WIFI keyboard if you want no keyboard display while typing from external keyboards via usb
ROM is stock JB, just rooted. Nothing else flashed. This happens with other keyboards, too, like SlideIt, Null, and AnySoft.
As far as I know, this only happens when I have my bluetooth keyboard connected.
It is really not that hard to switch input methods between a BT keyboard and an onscreen keyboard, no app is needed to easily go back and forth between those two. There should be a notification that shows up to easily switch input methods when a text box is tapped.
It looks like the second line says "change BT input method to stock Samsung keyboard", if that's any help.
Attached is the said notification.

No, only when an alternate KB is set as default.
Hi all,
So, I'm having a bizarre issue with Samsung Keyboard on my Verizon Galaxy S7. I use the auto correct (auto replace) feature, and it normally does a very good job of catching typos and whatnot. But, it does something really strange when I end a sentence with an exclamation point (!) or question mark (?).
It replaces the entire word before this mark with something totally unrelated. Like for example, if I type "Yeah!", I hit the space bar, and it gets replaced with something like "The!", or "I!". My girlfriend has the same issue on her Galaxy S7. We never had this issue on our previous Samsung phones. This seems to only happen with Samsung Keyboard. But, I would like it if I didn't have to switch keyboards, or turn off Auto correct. Any ideas?
Here's what I've tried so far:
Clear cache and data on Samsung Keyboard
Disable Sync on Samsung Account
Disable various keyboard features, like Auto spacing and Auto punctuate
Factory reset
Thanks in advance!
OMG! Thank God someone else is experiencing this too because I thought I was going crazy LOL. I've been sharing the below post everywhere I can -- I sure hope Samsung fixes it soon because it's very irritating.
I have the s7 and I HATE the autocorrect. I use exclamation points a lot and every time you end a sentence with one it autocorrects the final word in the sentence to something completely random. For example, I typed "I don't understand how!" and it autocorrected how to "why." I typed "Why, does this phone?" and it autocorrected phone to "mean." I typed "Those poor kids are probably starving" and it autocorrect starving to "the." It's the most frustrating thing ever and happens every time I type a text message. I've never wanted to chuck a phone across the room more than when I'm texting on the S7. I've contacted Samsung support, twice, and they pretty much told me I was crazy. So, I figure I'll find every review post on the S7 and post about my issue to see if someone somewhere in the Samsung world can release a software fix for this stupid phone.
Yeah this drives me crazy as well. It's very inaccurate. Maybe a new keyboard like swift key? With the stock one you are better off just tapping

Yes!! I'm so glad too that I'm not the only one experiencing this. I have been searching like crazy, and haven't found this issue listed anywhere.
So sounds like the only fix at this point is a custom keyboard. I hope they fix this soon. Thanks for the replies!
Ok, I have an update. I went into Settings > Language and Input > Samsung Keyboard > Add input languages. There was an "Update" button next to "English (US)". I downloaded this update. Since then, the problem seems to have diminished somewhat. I still see it, but it's kinda 50/50 now.
If somebody else wants to try this, let me know what kind of results you get. Thanks!
I managed to correct the problem! Under Settings > Language > Samsung Keyboard > Add Input Languages > More > Check for updates!!! So relieved!
Issues with Autocorrect on Samsung Keyboard? Completely wrong word replacement
Just use the Kii keyboard app. Free and does what you want.
I fixed it! I went to the Samsung keyboard in settings and changed the Keyboard Swipe to None. Boom! Instantly fixed!
i always loved the samsung keyboard but after the nougat update i move to gboard and think ill stay here for a while because i think the autocorrection works far better and love that you can have multiple languages at the same time rather then to switch between each one of the sammy.
I thought it was only me.... I used to save Roman Urdu words saved in my dictionary and it automatically used to replace the correct words as I zipped along.. no longer working right for me and I am so frustrated by it.. software update screwed my fav keyboard

i get the same issues when i text on my Samsung s7 phone but mine does it anywhere in my text not necessarily at the end, im thinking about spending muy money on iphone instead cause this is driving me nuts! get tired of having tip go back and fix words on a constant basis or re-text because person reading it can't understand what i said.
Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Predictive Text and Auto Replace
I was having the same problem (a word being suggested that was totally off from what was being typed and that wacky word replacing the correct word). The fix was keeping the predictive text on but turning the auto replace off. For my phone/software I got to these by:
1. Settings
2. General Management
3. Language And Time - Language and Input
4. Keyboards - Virtual Keyboard
5. Samsung Keyboard
6. Smart Typing - Predictive Text
The Predictive Text should be on, but the Auto Replace should be off
With the settings as described, the words I use a lot while texting (for instance "thanks" and "ok") show up under where I'm typing the text and I can tap them to save time, but the whole deal where some wacky word comes up and then replaces the word you wanted unless you hit the arrow goes away. I hope this is helpful.
it's 2018 and im still having this issue. I'll type in love and 100% of the time it switches to live. I mean, I use live too so i don't want to delete it. This issue makes me take atleast twice as long to type one message. I had it turned off for a long time and that was my solution, but if they have a feature, I want to ****ing use it. I NEVER had this issue on my previous Samsungs and i've only ever had Samsung "smart" phones.
