maybe not dual boot....but definitly you can go for multiboot
-flash Arakmars kernel from my sig or try hillbeasts test 002 kernel (g3mod)...then backup ur current rom in cwm (cm7 slot)...then boot in download mode flash latest cm9..wipe data...blah...blah....then backup cm9 rom in cwm under multiboot (cm9 slot)....that's it...now u can switch between cm7&cm9...
btw: be sure you have converted filesystems of system/stl6 to ext2 if you'll use Arakmars latest kernel because i was unable to restore system.ext4.tar due to recovery issues...dunno about hillbeasts test kernel...didn't find time to try it yet

Dont ask for flashing guide. In general section there are sticky thread which gives good info for noobs. Also learn to read threads properly. Thanx
i found blaqkarma has done well,everything is fine with his rom,look and feel is awesome.and we are waiting more from him,i tried almost all roms,now im using posiedon's rom.
For stock roms you can try XXKPQ(more developer support) or DDKP2.
For kernels : UtterChaos Kernel or Bam Custom Kernel (my favourite) or Vurrut Kernel
For Custom Roms : Poseidon Rom, Cranium Rom, Vurrut Rom... and many more...
If the Camera is not important to you, then you can also try out CM7, MIUI, or if you are adventurous, CM9
DDKP2 is by far the most stable ROM i have used! Try DDKP2!

it's batter that you don't install the rom if you don't know anythink.. it's batter that you wait for a stable relase ..
but if you want you can make it :
1 root your phone with cf root.. find it on the android development theard and follow the instruction ..
2 install any custom rom based on gingerbread aviable for your gingerbread version.. for example if you are on xxkpq install a rom based on xxkpq but not cyanogen or miui...(they are based on 2.3.7)
3 flash the alpha 3 on the rom... (before you make it wipe data and chace)
if you want backup your apps and games make it after the first step(when your phone is rooted) with titanium backup...

to install the xxkpq(you can see your actually firmwere in settings-->about phone) you have to go to the android development and there is a theard with all the firmweres there you can download the xxkpq version and flash it with odin to flash with odin you put it in the pda of odin but if you serach it with google i'm sure you can find some more specific guide in your language
Mine is i9003DDKP4.. dude went to many sites... Got one thing clear... first root then go to titanium back up... then install with ur kp4 rom and then download dhirus cyanogen mod and google apps... then flash both of them one by one..
I guess then i will be done... one question why to flash with kp4 rom and then Cyanogen Mod ...????

i think it's better to flash a custom rom because so your sistem has ext4 partition and all the ather features that havn't a stock roms

I have a Baseband / 2.6.32 Kernel but i want to upgrade it to Baseband / 2.6.35 Kernel. because i want to install "IceColdSandwich by elol " Rom and it uses the newer kernel version. (My phone is Spice MI 410 Indian version )
So my question is can i update my Kernel?
If yes, then can i update it using SUT? (AS its the easiest and safe way, i had bricked my phone earlier without it!)
And if you are kind enough can you give me a link or advise to the file which can update it as i have no clue where to look except asking you guys

What you're looking for: SUTLR 1.8, and Andro-ID RC3 by TJ style

Flashing Andro-ID through SUT is necessary because it implements a new baseband on which the .35 kernel can only work... And to flash a nb0 with .35 baseband you must use SUT 1.8 or above

mi recovery is siyah 6.0.1.4
i try to dual boot
I copy my first rom in the second
but when i try to make:
Wipe data/chace 2nd rom o install to 2nd rom gve me
"not implemented yet" how i can resolve??
only copy and remove work, i don't know why...
ps. and if I backup my prefer and first rom, install AOPK jb, copy 1s to 2nd rom ( the only dual boot option work) and after i make wipe data del and restore my first rom? is ok you think?

finally i understand, it's because i have not to go in recovery with up volume - on - home button
i need to go in STweaks and in the section " dual boot" i have go in " reboot to 2nd rom utils"

hi, i know u must have at least 2.5 gega free on yr internal SD card,but u have resolved yr problem ,! but the second rom, is it modified for dualboot? or i just pick up any rom and dual boot with it?

I think XGamerz Rom is best rom for SL i9003 but I also know that the v2.4 version was the best but when i try to download it in official thread it says file not exist.
So anyone here who can give me that rom Please.

but i think v3.1 is best... y u wanna stick to old version if new n good is avialable... i had version 2.4 till yesterday... but lost it while reverting back to stock...
