Ok! So now I'm concerned. I've just finished running Nullifier on my g2x, HFS just wasn't doing it for me. It finished with no problems, and I'm back to the recovery menu. I vol- down to install my new rom, hit the power button... and the screen turns off.
"Oh" I said.
I pressed the power button back on, and the screen came back on. Tried it again, same thing. Now I'm stuck because I can't restart with nothing to start, and all I can do is turn the screen on and off.
Any idea how to move forward with this?!
Um... why the Nullifier? It does everything you should manually which can prevent this from happening. Try reflashing CWM and make sure you have a ROM on your SD card so that when you get there you can install it quickly.
Is your phone charged?
All fixed!
G2XCleanUp fixed everything up! Thanks for trying to help!

Chill out. Assuming you installed Clockwork, pull the battery, then put it back in. After that, just hold down Volume Down + Power. When you get to the bootloader screen, wait a few seconds, then go down to recovery. After that, flash whatever you were trying to flash.
i have similar situation as u.
that was my flyer, the reason is i don't have enough batter to wake it......
so .... make sure your power is enough....

How do you mean? I tryed everything in the bootloader
Best thing to do is start from the top. I would reflash everything in order again after wipeing it clean of what ever you tried to install.
Well first.. I have my inspire running on Gingerbeast Rom. Everything was going well for a good while. Later on it started shutting itself down randomly. Once it had rebooted, I would wait and as soon as i'd try to use the phone, it would reboot. After it rebooted, it would keep rebooting all over again... etc.. I figured that there was a problem with the ROM so I tried re flashing it all over again. Now after I re flashed the ROM, it booted up to the boot screen and that was it... I tried getting into recovery mode by going to into hboot, but when I'm there it won't allow me to use the volume rocker to select anything. I really hope that it's not a big issue. (but I'm already thinking the worst) Did I possibly brick or soft brick my phone.. Is anyone able to tell me what I might of done wrong and is it fixable? I've been without a phone for a few days now.. and I hate this.. THANKS in advance and I'm sorry that this is a little long. ANY HELP would be so APPRECIATED...
Did you wait, when you go into hboot it delays for a min because it wants to check for img file...

Thanks for the response.. When I power up the phone, it stays on the boot screen forever. When I hold vol - and power it takes me into hboot but won't allow me to select anything, then it will ask me if I will allow update on the splash image, then I select yes... boots up again and it stays there and nothing happens...
You have an pd98IMG file at the root if your sd card. Remove it and it recovery will work fine. Recovery is trying to update that img file every time

I flashed a few roms and lost my 4G. When I reloaded my ICS OS to root66 via Odin I messed something up and am now stuck at 4G LTE load screen. I am hoping there is a way to cold boot into recovery mode (not Odin flash mode) so I can just do a factory reset. If there is no way to do that I am open to suggestions. I have re-loaded the root66 image 4 times and loaded a stock image twice to no avail. Thank you in advance to any help I get.
try doing home button and volume up?

Im only 19
oh um....
Is there a way to mark the thread as resolved or do we just let it die?
you can ask a mod to close it if you want.
Re-loaded my root66 and it booted fine again... now if I can just get my 4G back.
If you go through the setup wizard on a touchwiz rom it should say your phone is activated and 4g should come back.
I was trying to root my Galaxy Tab 2 for the first time. The process started, but failed. Now I'm stuck on the "firmware upgrade encountered an issue" screen. The device will turn off and back on, but remains on error screen. Seems to be trapped in download mode (as I can still see the download progress bar). Go Mobile and Odin say the device has connected to PC.
Anyone know of anything to fix this? Should I just revert to stock ROM and try again later?

can you actually boot in to download mode? power and vol down after power off? I know you say it seems to trapped in download mode but they're different! If you can, flash a stock rom from sammobile.com

I cannot boot into download mode. When I turn it off, it simply flashes off for a few secs then goes back to the error screen on its own. Does the same thing when I turn it back on myself. No logo screen. No droid. Nothing.
EDIT: Unplugged device entirely and retried the stock ROM in Odin. Finally worked! Looks like it might be fixed now.

I think my cord might have an issue (or they're just testy in general). I was noticing the battery wasn't fully charging for a while before all this. After the whole brick issue, I plugged it in to charge and it started flashing the "loading charge (empty battery + loading circle)" screen on and off until I unplugged and re-plugged it. I suspect that this is why the rooting failed in the first place.
Hi you may use cf auto root for gt p5113 with odin.this happend to me couple days ago.

I also bricked my tablet. Searched wide and low for ideas on how to fix. But I can't find a thing. I cannot get into Odin mode or recovery. Just hangs on the battery charging screen. My windows 7 computer can't even recognize it in Kies or odin. Yes the tablet is rooted.
I had to reset my phone so I pulled the battery and everything went smoothly until I hit the lockscreen. The lockscreen will load up, but at a really slow pace, I let it sit like that for a while waiting for everything to load. Once the screen went black I hit the power/unlock key and the backlight will light up, but no image will appear on the screen. I am rooted running ICS

Since when does pulling the battery reset phone?
If you have recovery, try factory reset or fxz or flash a new ROM.
Sounds like a black screen kexec problem. And possibly an OC issue? What did you flash? More info goes a lot further for anyone to help.

First things first, can you reboot your phone? If so, try it and see whether it makes a difference.
If you're using BMM and haven't touched system 1 (stock ICS) and its always the same problem when you reboot I suggest you delete the rom. Delete the system partitions from BMM menu while booting.
If you aren't using BMM or if you flashed this rom on system 1 and cannot boot into anything, then fxz back to ICS.
Hope I helped, it would also be useful to give a bit more information as the previous two users have said

Well I reset my phone because it was running a bit slow so i figured a reset wouldn't hurt. I was running stock ICS just rooted, not OC'ed at all. I guess I was being a little too worried because it's running fine now. All I did was go and flashed ICS. Thanks for the help guys.
