It's been out a few days now, but not posted, so for those that don't have it, here's the updated Polaris.
seems to open docs faster & opens more formats than previous version.

if you're asking if it will work on non touchwiz roms, I'm not sure as I only use roms based on tw.
the prev version worked on cm9, etc, but not cm10 or any jellybean.
if you're not on touchwiz maybe you can test & report back for us? or wait for someone else to do it.

Works great on SGS2!

Working great on GT-N7000. No FC. I'm on RocketMIUI v3.
I just installed the apk and it works but I guess it depends on weather the libs are present in the ROM. Rocket ROM had it preinstalled.
EDIT: Works perfect on Iconia A500 tablet which had Polaris preinstalled in the ROM too.

Can you tell me the source of the file? Is it for poor note? I am asking it because when I am checking for update from polaris office 3, it is showing no update available.

the update feature in v3 won't work with the note as this version was meant to be exclusive to the s3 & poss' the note 2.

Try this (I haven't tried yet):
Extract library from apk
Put them (the four *.so files) in system/lib with correct permissions
Delete library folder from apk
Put the apk In system/app with correct permissions
Reboot

Worth a try!
If anyone does try this method, don't forget to re-sign the apk after editing.

ok guys, here we go again this time its the Android 4.2 keyboard w/ gesture typing (pulled from Nexus 4, so YES its official)!
Prerequisites: Must be running 4.0+
Installation instructions for non-AOSP roms w/ overlay ie Samsung TouchWiz, HTC Sense, Sony (reported to be a working method w/AOSP roms ie CM 9/10, AOKP)
1. download the apk and place it on your sd card
2. use your favorite file explorer and tap the apk (make sure you have "install from unknown sources" enabled in your phone settings)
3. go into your phone's keyboard settings and enable "Android keyboard"
4. enjoy!

Installation instructions for AOSP roms ie STOCK Android 4.0+ (if the simple apk install didnt work for you)
1. download the zip file and place it on your sd card
2. reboot to recovery
3. install zip from sd card

Cool! Using it to type this message, not sure if I like it better than Swype. Wonder if the keyboard layout can be changed. Still very cool, the prediction seems a little better than Swype.

Installed by flashing the zip and then deleting the original keyboard from my Galaxy S Plus running CM9. Works very nice! A side question, is it possible to add additional dictionaries to it?

The two Layouts (Android-Tastatur) and (Android-Tastatur (ASOP)) looks the same :/

How did you guys get gesture typing to work? I'm on CM10 20121029 and see the keyboard (and can select it) but gesture typing doesn't work. I tried installing the APK and (after uninstall) tried the zip with CWM. No worky for me!!

I have installed Supernote 3.1.0 on my Asus Transformer Prime TF201 since the orignal preinstalled version 1.55 was often hanging (after the last Sytem Upgrade).
However the new Supernote does show the icon for handwriting recognition as stated in the tutorials. Does anyone know how this can be enabled?

On Padfone same app works on phone and tablet. Why wouldn't it install on Galaxy Nexus?

Does this only work with 4.0+?

Thanks for posting this. Seems to mostly work on the N10 - the layout is not quite correct (page area occupies a small part of the screen instead of all of it), and icons like handwriting recognition are missing. Based on the posting here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2059180 it looks like the app needs libNoteLayout.so and possibly libStylusCore.so from \system\lib\ to function fully. Any chance you could upload those as well or include them in the apk?

Hi all,
Just thought I would share my ebook app files from the original tab 10.1 that they stopped developing but which gave the best eboom experience on android IMHO. To install you unzip this (doesn't work as a flashable zip). Then you need to remove the myfiles apk from system app (called sec-tablet.my files) and replace it with the one from this zip. Then install ebook.apk as a normal app. Reboot your tab and enjoy!

Hi smegg,
I'm looking for the stock Ebook reader, version 3, for some time now. My tablet is on Android 4.1. So far I found two versions, one ebook,apk worked well but it's version 1.xx. The other one is version 3.xxx, it opens my books but does not show any "ç " or "Ç" (along with other missing accents).
I searched this thread but since it's old, the links are already broken....
Do you still have the tw flasheable version of this app? The app you have is at some 3.xxx versions?

Very thank you for your reply! Turns out I found a way to fix the newer version's app. I decompiled it and saw that it was using system font, droidserif.ttf. Turns out that this font in my tablet is zero size, more like a placeholder, i don't know...
Since I didn't wan't to mess with these, I opened the .smalli on the apk which called this font (smali\com\samsung\ebook\reader\settings\font.smali) and changed it to Helvetica.ttf. Recompilled it with apktool and gave it a try. Don't have the correct MyFiles,apk so I have to import books by clicking on them from any explorer. Apart from that, it's all working very fine! =)
